I’m a single female in her mid 40’s and I just spent the last year full-time RVing in a 35’ 5th wheel pulled by a 1 ton from TX to AZ to TX to GA up to ME and then to PEI in Canada and back to TX. It is a LOT of work going solo and times where I was scared, frustrated, exhausted, and plenty of tears before I took dee breath and did what needed to be done. I’m so proud of myself and thankful I can remember back on my adventure and am so glad I jumped in and did it. I even managed to back that thing up into a couple spots…although a friendly neighbor was always willing to help me when I couldn’t do it on my own. All that to say…ladies, you can do it! Don’t let fear keep you from living your dreams!
That's a great story! I look up to you ladies! I only watch Catherine Gregory for my RV inspiration, but this couple is my fast favorite new RV mentors. I was going to sell my trailer, but now I feel inspired again to plan some outings. Your story really helps nudge me into gear!
Safety first!! Always be ready to protect yourself!! It’s a crazy world out there, but it’s worth seeing.. I’m pretty much homesteading on 15 acres I own in SW PA, all four seasons and mild winter but good snow, hunting and canning, gardening.. I’d like to do a road trip tho.. always wanted to go to red wood forest and yellow stone.. can’t afford it now with the economy and gas prices.. someday maybe🇺🇸😎❤️

My best camping experience was a rainy weekend in the mid-1990s. Hubby and kids were coming separately. They did not make it due to weather getting worse. I spent the weekend alone, just the Rottie, me and a radio. Wonderful time!!
Your kitty's are gorgeous! Great job setting it all up by yourself, & doing it all alone! Hope you stay warm enough! After the love of my life died, I traveled cross country alone thru all kinds of weather with my dog & cat, in my truck with a cabover camper. It's great you can still hook up in the winter there! This has been fun! 1st time seeing you! Thanks for taking us all along! ❄🏔☃️❄

First time watching your channel and I love the reality of your reports, the obvious love you have for Dave and your cats, and of course your cooking skills. You have a new fan and sending love from New Zealand to both of you.
I love your energy level you’re very entertaining to watch but you know what ,I’m also a woman and you can do it. I have a fifth wheel toy hauler that I camp in ,with two dogs and I have a blast. Our first snowstorm this year was 4 feet but it was warm, 10 to 20 above. Lots of shoveling had to be done and I am older than dirt. Have fun enjoy life because it’s really short. We have mountain lions, bobcats, Timberwolves and coyotes, but they’re usually more afraid of you than you are of them.
Girlie you are Crazy brave !! I would NEVER I’m a big scary cat. This winter a lady froze to death in her car when a storm came .. too much stuff could happen, lose powder which means no heat, water freeze .. strong brave woman
You are such a positive woman! I love your energy. What a fun video. God bless your travels. Greetings from California where everyone is experiencing flooding.
Really like your rig and your videos! Kudos to you for solo camping in snow. With respect to your fan not opening, if it's a rain sensor type of unit, it will not open if it detects moisture. Had that happen to us, trying to open vent but a light sprinkle prevented it. Safe travels!
I'm sitting here watching you on your camping adventure this morning, while sipping on my morning coffee and I'm finding myself smiling with you & for you. You are absolutely adorable!
Tanya I love how brave you are! I’ve just recently started watching your videos and enjoy them. You and Dave are so adventurous and such a loving couple. I love your enthusiasm, God bless you!
I've just discovered your channel and this video has been the third one I've enjoyed. You did beautifully, Tanya. I felt badly when the light bulbs dropped. I was OK soon after when I saw the flowers. Nice details. Dinner looked delicious! The drone shots were great. And I really enjoyed the well-done musical accompanists throughout the video. They were well chosen pieces and ran for perfect lengths of time. And I think that you're brave. The threat of mountain lions would have kept me from walking the distances that you had. I've enjoyed the way that You and Dave interact, and the love you share shows through. I had to Subscribe! The blow dryer was a good idea, it probably would have worked with more time at it. My suggestion to prevent the vent lid from sticking is to remove the screen, then from the inside, treat the perimeter of the lid (and also the base attached to the roof) with either a silicone lubricant or (my favorite) Lemon Pledge. I've had good success using Pledge for sticking refrigerator door gaskets, as well as car door gaskets. Your coach looks pretty new so I expect over time things like that will wear-in and become trouble free. I want to say though, that I think you two might do better in a Class A unit. Having had years of camping and road travel experience is what caused me to make that suggestion. The EKKO is a nice and expensive coach, but it seems better suited as a starter unit or intended for one person. Another suggestion that I have (because I do this) is to buy an extra lid for the roof vent as well as an extra outdoor section for any skylights on your coach. They become brittle with age. One day while working on the roof of my coach, I leaned on the skylight and my hand went right through it. It had become brittle, and it didn't take much pressure for it to break. But bear in mind even a tree limb can bust one when parking. The worst part about having extras of these is finding a place to store them. But when you suddenly need one, you'll be relieved that you have an extra that's ready to go in. And especially so if the one you need generally takes a couple/few weeks for it to be shipped. Thank you for making this nice video as I truly enjoyed it.
That was a great "emergency drill" for you. Wonder if Dave would have faired as well as you did alone? Girl Power! Love your videos and loved the music on this one-perfection!
You all can get a yearly member and get in the camps sites in America for free I'll find out wat company I met somebody in cancer treatment she told me her and her husband sold there house and they have 3 children I said to her isn't it expensive she said no they pay 1 time a year and they can go to any park in us her and her family live in rv she told me they have a lot of activities for the kids and adults so it's really not expensive. She told me 700 and something for the year
You got me at your talk to kitty witties. My kind of woman. As a Canadian, I have to say that snow storm was nothing eh? However, we camped last spring in warmer wet weather, albeit without electric hookup, and were miserable. We will try going to a plug in place this spring. What a difference it should make. Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh my gosh! At 14:17 in your video, I see MY kitchen decor decals on your wall! I love it! This is the first time I've watched your two, and i felt such a connection. Those decals just confirmed it for me. That's just so neat!
M’am when you walked around and there was nobody there, I thought to myself “oh he!! no”! Plus, it gets real dark out there on Mt. Charleston. Loved the video, it was cool! Liked it so much that I am going to rewatch it.
Next time , you should always carry a broom and a little snow shovel. They sell them in the auto stores. It’s a big help when you get stuck at work and you come out and see your car buried. Besides a snow brush I’m short like you so it’s hard to reach the high spots also . Lol
I just found your UA-cam channel yesterday and I love it! I’m really enjoying watching you in the storm and what a great job you’re doing! Tanya, you have such a great personality makes the videos fun to watch. Glad you enjoyed the snow! Looking forward to seeing many more adventures.
Girlfriend watching this video really showed me that women are truly fierce beings. I was so scared for you walking around by yourself in the snowy woods. Especially when you started talking about wildlife that could be out there 😲. You totally blew my mind. So proud of your bravery and your dance moves!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
That first time alone in an empty campground or boondocking with nobody in sight is always a bit intimidating. I'm glad my first didn't have the snow added on top but you really rocked it!
Kudos to you, Tanya! I would have been terrified! At 67, I am a bit older than you. Such a beautiful area God prepared for you Sing praises to his glory🩵
Absolutely loved your wintry experience!! You’re such a positive person and embraced your inner warrior! You’re so lucky to be able to live the life most can only dream about!
The little snow balls are called “Groppel”. As the water drop begins to form the speed in which it is falling smooths the edged. It’s like ball bearings on steep slopes prone to avalanches.
I just discovered your channel today with this being the first I watched.. I found you extremely brave to face this head on alone.. I was literally cheering you on. We have been binge watching it all day. I love that your relationship is smooth and you can tell you really love and respect each other. I also think you are about as cute of a person as I could hope to find in a most interesting genre. I've always planned to do this when I retire which is 1 more year.. I can't wait. I have a Winnie already and have had it for years but I'm planning to trade it for a 2 bedroom camper and buy a full sized truck or suv and pull it. I feel bad that everytime you two go wondering at your many stops you have to unhook and pack down everything. I don't want to travel constantly like you do but rather chase 70 degree weather. I lived in Minnesota the last 15 years and I've done my cold duty. I grew up in Phoenix so I've done my hot duty also. My plan is to moved maybe 3 times a year and to supplement income I'll sell at farmers markets and flea markets. We are having a blast watching Dave and you do the visiting. We are currently watching the Salem MA episode right now.. and omg was he ever naughty. You were already spooked.. Anyways, thank you for letting me into your life, your adventures and a ton of binge material.. Stay safe, stay warm and continue to be adventurous, brave and simply a joy to watch.. Cheryl
Nice job! You did awesome 9n this solo winter storm! I would have loved being up there during that. It looks so peaceful and beautiful Glad you had all you needed to make it thru with just you and the kitties. 💚💙💚💙💚
Wow girl, you are very brave. I'm impressed. How much snow is a lot? The worst snow I ever saw was when the drifts completely covered our trailer. It was precarious as we had little air so we couldn't use any fire. No furnace or stove as the propane fumes would suffocate us. 12 hours later we heard a vehicle, the snow plow. Great.
T…..YOU DID THAT!!!!! I mean you handled everything like the pro you are! I love your adventures but this was simply AMAZING! SUPERWOMAN!!!! You have earned it!!!! 💃🏽 💃🏽
Love your can do spirit!! This video showed up in my stream, it looked very interesting and it was!! The snow is always so beautiful and you became acclimated quickly...bravo!!! Good luck and fun times in your travels, I will be watching for new videos, thanks for sharing your moments...you were great in the snow!!💫
Girl you was rolling nice vids lot of good camping shows we watch it's just shows that calm you down we loving it when we wanna chill while our patients sleep we watch these camping shows
You need a long-handled, telescoping snow broom to clean off the roof. There is just too much snow on top of the vent. My snow broom is actually rubber
Absolutely beautiful scenery!😁👍 You are so courageous and I'm so proud of how you adjusted being by yourself. You're a great host, thanks for explaining everything 😊 Awesome video and I love your hair and your cats.😁👍
1st time viewer. I'm am so truly impressed with your knowledge, confidence, bravery, and attitude. You are soooo awesome. Great editing, vidoography and presentation. Girl power!
Hi Tanya, RV dealers sell vent covers. Right now I don't remember the name. They are awesome. The cover allows the vent door to open and can leave open when raining/snowing. The cover has a vent opening .
I always camp alone . I love it ! Some days I don't even come out of the camper . I sit and crotchet and make all kinds of stuff and watch movie . I totally enjoy alone time .
You did an awesome job keeping up with everything. You handled it like a pro that you already are. Please be safe heading down to meet Dave 🙏. BTW you can see you have lost weight. Good luck on your journey! As always stay warm, well and safe travels ❤️...Turn it up!!
Also tarp the front (back too) of your vehicle windows, pull it off and you don’t have to scrape the snow off Be sure to secure it down with heavy string so I don’t blow away.
Oh my gosh, I busted out laughing at the blow drier. 🤣🤣🤣Genius and hilarious. I have no solutions but think I would have done the same thing. I've only been out 4-5 times in my tiny camper. What an inspiration you are!❤
thank you for the fantastic visit with all the snow !!!!!! My wife and i have 14 cats, all rescued, all with great big personalities because we pay attention to all their antics.... I see you two have two travel companions..... they look so spoiled...Thanks again for all your hard work and effort to bring us such beautiful pics of your campsite.... you did well alone in the woods. Take care and stay safe.
I have the sweetest wife in the world but it would be a cold day in hell before she would do what you did. Especially the part of setting up in the snow when there was no one else in the camp ground and knowing a heavy snow was heading that way. Ha! I love the "home" feeling of your RV.
Nice job taking care of things. I sold my house and bought a 36’ Fleetwood Bounder and threw my 5 cats into it and took off by myself. It can be a bit scary by yourself as a single woman but it was very rewarding too. I’m older now and sold the RV after 17 years although I spent the last mainly in a RV Park. Having cats is important ❤. Enjoy your videos.
When the vent sticks, begin to open it using your crank knob but don't apply too much upward pressure on the knob or it may break, then remove the vent screen and with a ruler or butter knife apply gentile upward pressure against the vent cover until it pops free. If you can't access the vent cover through the fan and screen assy with your knife or ruler, you can purchase 2 small rigid metal rods 1/4" diameter or smaller and about 12" long at a home depot or hardware store, then drill 2 small holes slightly larger than the rods you purchased in the extreme corners of the opening side of the vent. Take both rods and insert them in the holes you drilled and apply even upward pressure to each side of the vent cover simultaneously and that should pop it free allowing it to be opened. Keep in mind that it may be difficult to close the vent afterward, but if this happens remove the vent screen and clear any frozen debris that may have fallen into the vent seal area.

Thanks so much Jan, that’s awesome! Very impressed!!
The peacefulness of the snow is great. What a beautiful spot!
Yes, it really is a beautiful spot and we love the snow!!
Thank you so much! We appreciate that. Stay safe out there!
Really like your rig and your videos! Kudos to you for solo camping in snow. With respect to your fan not opening, if it's a rain sensor type of unit, it will not open if it detects moisture. Had that happen to us, trying to open vent but a light sprinkle prevented it. Safe travels!
Your drone, cameras etc. really capture the topography of the land and your locations. You're so enjoyable.
Thanks so much Maree, glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for being you. You took a tough situation and made it fun instead of crying about it.
I'm sitting here watching you on your camping adventure this morning, while sipping on my morning coffee and I'm finding myself smiling with you & for you. You are absolutely adorable!
You did a fantastic job. You are a strong capable woman. ❤️
Thank you! ❤️
I haven’t seen any of your videos before this one but I feel so comfortable watching you. You’re like a magnet 😊
Tanya I love how brave you are! I’ve just recently started watching your videos and enjoy them. You and Dave are so adventurous and such a loving couple. I love your enthusiasm, God bless you!
I don’t know how you kept it together and faced this weather without Dave. Brave lady, I admire you!
Thanks Joyce, I really appreciate it!!
Hey! You did it. So proud of you hut sorry Dave didn’t make it up there with you but what an experience.
She told me 700 and something for the year
i would be crying for Mom lol
You would be so FUN to hang out with. Happy camper. Hi from Oregon.
Awesome job, Tanya! I really enjoy your fun, positive, personality!
Hi how are you doing?
STOP STOP STOP !
You are so cute! I can say that because I'm a 64 yo grandma to Brightyn. I would be petrified without my husband Jim!! Brave lady!!!
Oh wow! Thank you.
Great job Tanya!!!! Hopefully you don't have to do that too often, but nice to know you can!
Oh my god that’s a lot of snow, please be safe, adorable little cats you have
Kudos to you, Tanya! I would have been terrified! At 67, I am a bit older than you. Such a beautiful area God prepared for you
Sing praises to his glory🩵
Thank you so much!
How peaceful! What a beautiful area. I really wish I could do this too. For now, I will love vicariously through you. ❤️
I love following the two of you! You handled this with ease and grace!
OMGGGGG THE CUTEST CATS EVER!!!! LOOOOVE THEM...SOOOO SWEET XOXOXOX
SOOOO PRETTY, WHAT A GREAT JOB YOU DID MAKING NICE AND COZY :)
You're a brave woman & very entertaining. Glad you have your fur babies with you! It's beautiful where you're camping.
Thank you so much!
I love your hat! Love the snow, it looks amazing there. Reminds me of PA all those years of 3-5 feet of snow, just lovely.
Girl you did an excellent job out there in the snowy tundra!! ❤️❄️
Thank you! 🤗 🙏
Not sure why the algorithm hasn't brought me to your channel before but I'm glad is has now. Can't wait to see more adventures.
Thanks so much for sharing! 😀
I am woman! Hear me roar! ...my generation but you killed it 👌
You took the words right out of my mouth!!Loved Helen Reddy. Believe she passed away last year.🎵🎼🎶♥️🌷
@@charleneheiland8803 2020. Think she had dementia. Sad lose. I am 76 so watching Tanya throughout her trip...this song immediately came to mind. 😆

I enjoyed watching this video. I give you credit doing it alone.
Nice to spend time with you in the snow…I love spending time alone but nice to share with someone, but you have your kitty’s
Hello I’m a new subscriber. You are a brave lady taking on camping by yourself in a snow storm! Your kitties are to adorable. Safe travels!
I just love the two of you. You make me laugh out loud. Thank you for your videos.
Cheryl
oooooooooo it looks so co0o0o0ozy back there on the beds with the blankies and kitties, mostly alone surrounded by a winter storm, safe and sound.
I'm so glad YT suggested your channel. I love snow.
My dear I admire your bravery to whether this winter storm alone is beautiful.
OMG! I would've waited for him to finish his errands Lol!. But you are courageous sis.
Makes sense, thanks so much!!
You smell snow coming in, I smell rain coming in. It's absolutely beautiful there, you are so brave~
I love seeing the courage of people who live in a van.
Girl you was rolling nice vids lot of good camping shows we watch it's just shows that calm you down we loving it when we wanna chill while our patients sleep we watch these camping shows
Thanks so much Louise! We are glad that you are enjoying our camping videos!!
So enjoy watching you guys. Great.
I love snow! So beautiul! Love that you travel with your kitties! What a cozy set up you have!
Tanya your rocked it! Thanks for showing women can survive on their own. I know you missed Dave. Great video! You go girl! Love ya ♥️☃️
Good luck. Will be keeping you in our prayers as always.
1st time viewer. I'm am so truly impressed with your knowledge, confidence, bravery, and attitude. You are soooo awesome. Great editing, vidoography and presentation. Girl power!
Thank you very much! Greatly appreciated! Glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for subbing! TURN IT UP!!!
Hi Tanya, RV dealers sell vent covers. Right now I don't remember the name. They are awesome. The cover allows the vent door to open and can leave open when raining/snowing. The cover has a vent opening .
Your video's are fun to watch!! Love your adventures and storytelling 😊 Keep rockin' it no matter the weather ☀️🌧❄️🌤🔥💧
Weather alerts would be very helpful in this case Hoping you are safe while I watch! Too scary to be alone in this instance Stay safe
Lol the high fives with sound kept me watching waiting for more silliness lololol. Rewinded th dance with high five lolol
Also tarp the front (back too) of your vehicle windows, pull it off and you don’t have to scrape the snow off
Be sure to secure it down with heavy string so I don’t blow away.
You are a strong woman to stay there by yourself.. Stay safe be careful I enjoy the video very much
Nice job taking care of things.
