Don’t EVER put a swab in your mouth then put it in your eye. That is the fastest way to ensure an eye infection. Use contact solution or distilled water if you have to wet a swab to clean out your eye

This is called eye mucus and what these girls are doing is referred to as “fishing” it out. It is usually a white or clear strand, it can be black from eyeliner or mascara etc. This is often caused by allergies or by a virus, hence the name allergic conjunctivitis or viral conjunctivitis. As satisfying as it is to watch them pull it out, it is recommended not to because it irritates the eye and will cause it to get worse. OTC meds such as eye drops or allergy medication will help :)

Whenever I feel like I have something in my eye, I look and there’s no eyelash or anything. Then I end up finding one of these stringy things and pull it out and it feels amazingggg! Sometimes I get that ticklish, makes my eye kind of water but feels good at the same time kind of feeling😅

I like it when it i get them and I’m able to pull it out all in one go and it doesn’t break so the stringy thing ends up being like a circle.
As that’s when it tickles my eye the most. when I pull it and it comes out from bottom of my eye, goes all the way around and it comes out in one piece.
Makes my eye water a bit but, it feels good in the weirdest of ways as it kinda ticked my eye a little haha.

If you ever need to get one of these out I suggest having one side of the q-tip wet and the other one dry.
1. Take the wet q-tip and start to gently rub at it from the inside corner (note: don’t ever pick at it from under it can cause irritation and harm to the outer layer of your eye)
2. Then take the dry side and get the rest out (it’s ok if you don’t get all of it out it will come out on it’s own)

(On my husband's account) I've been wearing contacts and makeup for the past 20 odd years, never has this happened to me, or any of my friends that I know of. Seems unreal/ Mandela effect type stuff that I've never heard of this. I even went to a makeup school; they never taught us about this.
@@kylenlauren7133 because it's allergies or a virus that does it. I get it when my seasonal allergies come full force and I would never wear makeup during that time. Most of the time it's clear or white. No one should wear makeup if their eyes are irritated enough to produce those eye strings.

I've had allergies and I've been wearing makeup for years...never heard of or seen this. In my teens, I've even slept with makeup on and I've never experienced anything like this. I wonder what causes that...Wow 😮
it's usually caused by the eyes getting very irritated, and in extreme conditions is called Mucus Fishing Syndrome

YES! Mine are so bad that they cloud my vision. It’s awful.
The same thing happened with me and I kept getting eye infections so my doctor told me to throw all my makeup away and not to put anything on until I was completely healed. I bought all new makeup and kept a journal of where each thing was purchased. It happened again when I bought a new bottle of mascara online. The infection was so bad I needed surgery in my eye! It was at this point, I gave up on makeup.
It's a kind of OCD in which you want your eye clean but somethings are meant to be natural that mucus is used to keep your eyes wet and if taken out can cause so many problems for your eyes 👀

This is so weird. I've never had these and I had pretty severe seasonal allergies up until I moved to AZ from the Midwest at 27. And just makes me even happier that I don't wear makeup. Seems like a health hazard.

@@shanna3148 this has nothing to do with morgellions lol, its just makeup that gets trapped in the eye and the eye produces mucus to try to clean itself
you might want to wet the q tip a little bit so it wont let a lint in your eye..
those strings its just what eye fights back by keeping them from moving elsewhere by using the mucus membrane once ready your eye rejects them.
Do not wet a q tip and place it in your eye! There are microbes in that waster that can cause blindness in 24 hours. You have to use contact lens solution only.

Yeah this is mostly caused by contacts and your eyes not being able to breathe and not cleaning them good enough. I wear contacts and get these often so I know!
Not true. A mass amount of ppl have this now and they don't all wear contacts. I don't. I don't think the real answer is a cute one you would want to make a video about tbh
When my allergies are bad, I get these. I don't wear contacts anymore but I still keep bottles of solution on hand for various reasons. But wetting the cotton makes those strings come out a lot easier.

When I have itchy eyes . I go to Mirror and open my eye wide , I see mucus kind of thread . I take off them with my finger . After doing that my eyes feel better .
These actually tickle when I get them out. I always just used the dry pointed end of a twisted up paper towel.

OK, first of all. Why is this so enjoyable. Probably because I have to do it on a regular basis when I wear make up. I just didn’t know I would enjoy watching other people do it so much. Yikes, I’m watching these women and all I can think of is, when they’re done they have to deal with trying to get those tiny pieces of swab hairs out of their eyes! That one woman actually licked her swab before putting it in her eye! I don’t think she is aware the human mouth is the dirtiest part on your body. Great way to get an eye infection. So glad I made the decision to stop fussing with makeup years ago when I was spending way too much time and money in doctors appointments for popular makeup type related eye issues. It wasn’t worth it. When I look back on how I actually would set my alarm for an hour early before going to work just to “put my face on”, makes me feel so swallow now. It’s a freeing feeling not to deal with it anymore.
You shouldn’t lick or put the qtip in your eye. For me, I take the qtip and twist in the corner so it graps a good grip of the eye string stuff, then pull. I unfortunately get this all the time. Usually i know it’s there when I can either feel it or I blink and it’s blurry.
I hate the ones that feel super thick and make my eye water after. It’s the worst! I stopped wearing a bunch of makeup because of them too, so at least I don’t have those thick black ones anymore. But it didn’t make them go away.
The first girl needs to stop using eyeliner and mascara and just stick to glowing eyelashes on and eyeshadow because that looks really really really bad I’m scared😭😭😭😭😭
If you get these gooey strings often please go to an ophthalmologist and get checked for dry eye. Untreated it can eventually cause loss of vision, increase ocular pressure, corneal abrasions and scarring.

this is not an eye string... it's probably an eye mucus, it's pretty much from their infection. it's better if they wash their brushes or any kits they using or change brand of makeup they using. they should go to eye specialist immediately.

We learned the human mouth has more harmful bacteria than any other part of the body. That’s why a human bite is taken very seriously in schools and daycare’s. Some people don’t understand and blame teachers for “overreacting”. However, daycare’s know how serious bacteria from biting can transfer many dangerous types of bacteria in young babies and children they might have been born with. That’s why it has to be reported. It’s no surprise why the human mouth is called, “the dirtiest part of the body”. Don’t take my word for it, do your own research. You’ll learn alot on the subject you thought you knew. The same goes for our pets mouths.

Its not a string. Eye Doc said its a white like string mucus in eye. From dry eye. It the gets mixed with your mascara. That makes it look black string.
This is often caused by chronic dry eye. Add 2000 mg fish oil twice daily to your vitamin regime, and eye drops specifically for dry eye.

I wear contact lenses & I have never seen anything like this. I also have allergies. I use eye drops & clean my contacts daily so perhaps that's the reason I don't have anything like these "eye strings". Good hygiene is so important. This looks like eye infection waiting to happen.
As a sufferer of Allergic conjunctivitis. NEVER use a dry q tip. First use saline wash to wash the eyes out. If you want to remove the "string" dampen the q tip with warmed eye washm (DO NOT USE YOUR SALIVA OR LICK THE Q TIP. If can cause a worse infection) remove the "strand" them put allergy drops into the pocket of the eye close your eye and at the same time lightly press on the tear duct area to keep the medicine from draining. Hold for 30 seconds. NEVER wear eye makeup with allergic or any other eye conditions till the eye heals. You can reinfect your eyes.

People who get these on a regular basis - it’s caused by dry eye syndrome and generalised allergies. This needs treated as if you don’t then you can get ulcers like I did. Lipid substance balance is a great general day to eye drops, this ca be bought at a pharmacy or put on a prescription. You may need other treatments to heal such as treatments that focus on repairing the lipid layer to the eye using heat on the eyes to open the glands and the oil is expressed. This can be easily addressed just go and see your doctors.
