If you were to build it with the top forks spread further apart from each other and out in front of the handle, and with pulleys on the forks, you could pretension the tubing and get a massive increase in energy to the arrow. It would be somewhat like a design that I made a couple years ago. For lack of a better name, I called it a compound crossbow slingshot.

Yeah but it doesn't make sense why he has 10M subscribers and this video gets 277,575 views. That means less than 3% of his audience is watching his regular content. It's because people don't get notified. It's a flawed system and only channels that create drama and fabricated stories will benefit since people will want to return regularly to see what happens. Not my kind of content.

Great idea, but I think that some flint and a small knife would be better than the matches.
Yeah knife is essential, i have my Schrade SCHF45 Leroy which is quite big, but i am okay with that.

This is a fabulous idea. I am curious as to what the pull strength is when shooting the arrows.
Also, I would love to see a video for making a simple folding wood chair. The videos that I have found so far are much more complicated than I expected and tend to involve more tools than most people have.

Ethan Tabing No. They don't make useful stuff.
Fishing is not the best survival tactic tbh. You're better off setting up wire snares for small creatures and maybe pitfall traps for larger ones. So two things you want are tons of wire, a saw for the spikes and a shovel(collapsible). Actually... a shovel is way better of a survival tool than any number of fishing items.

It's incredibly annoying and tedious to go fishing on a normal day, and reliant on breeding seasons in most cases(that a single person can manage). This is why most legitimate survival kits won't have fishing stuff in them.

You should make a video on actually using some of your survival gadgets and methods. Like a deep woods survival trip. Taking a backpack full of some of your things and seeing how well they work and how long you could last with them.
You should take everything you made for survival and all with all your knowledge spend a day/week in the woods ;love your vids

Should also include a small sharp pocket knife, for cutting, as well as to help clean any fish you catch. But a really great idea to keeping handy.
We built these on summer camp in the 90s with wine bottle cork two nails and a strong rubber band then used plant sticks as arrows with a smal weight taped in the front of the arrow. Worked great. Fun times.

I circumvented all the plastic pipe & glue. I took a standard $8 Wrist Rocket slingshot and replaced the ammo pouch with a piece of bow string knotted at each end, with a loop of bow string tied on allowing just enough room for an arrow nock. The added loop is for my wristband trigger. I attached a whisker biscuit centered just above the handle and shoot 30" carbon fiber arrows.

Lately I’ve been seeing so many survival kits that are including zip ties but I think instead of painting it black I would cover as much as possible with the time tested favorite of Duct Tape ... cause DT will save the world.
You could also make the support arms long enough to store a few arrows or possibly set it up to do some bowfishing with the slingshot. Even attach the extra arrows to the outside of the support arms.

Instead of the tape pull tab put another loop of paracord attached to the first, big enough to slip a finger through and easily release. It would be easier to grip. Also congratulations on reaching 10,000,000.
