  • Taking my family for a ride in my Sea Ark Predator on a beautiful October day on the Delaware River near Delaware Water Gap, Pa. Great shallow water performance and a fun boat overall.

Good Video Captain, I love that you didn't mask the sounds of that merc with some crappy music!

I would guess not a lot from boats in the Delaware unless very poor judgment involved. Most are people swimming that are not familiar with rivers. I do keep them safe: Under 12 years old, they wear life jackets on boat, in kayaks everyone wears jackets, swimming in river we wear jackets and seat belts in the truck on way to the river. If it was dark, cold water or bad weather we would all be wearing them but i appreciate your concern.

Big ass boulders right as you took that line by the bridge. I have a 16ft mod v with 50hp tilt and trim. I stick to canoes only for the river. 37 year resident on the PA side of the river.

I have seen them, never had a problem there. Did hit a log one night just upriver from the bridge, hell of a bang but no real damage. SeaArk has pretty tough hull with lifetime warranty. Boat has a tunnel with an inboard jet. Once up on plane it can go pretty skinny(4"'-6")

Looks like a lake compared to where we run. Shame no one but the littlest is has a PFD on. Not to mention your boy bow riding like that is extremely dangerous not to mention illegal. All it takes is one hard bump and he's in the water as you run him over.

No fee at worthington for launch or parking. It's a state park. Kind of put boat up for winter, have shifted more to hunting in the colder weather. We'll be back in the spring.

Thanks for the video! When you stopped and turned around, was that because you couldn't go any further in this boat? Wondering if I would be able to access this stretch from right outside the park in Slateford, PA. in a jet boat. How deep is this stretch on average, what are the deepest spots? Thanks!

I have gone down to Dalton's in Columbia NJ for dinner with boat and up to Bushkill and I know others that have also. You do have to watch for rocks, but they are fairly easy to see if there is some current. Easier to go up river than down, so you will have a fairly good idea of route back down river. If you have a jet you should be good to go.

Thank you! You don't have any issues with rocks getting into your engine?

No, most jets have a grate on the intake, if they are small enough to go through the grate they would pass through the impeller also.

I live right by there! I go to the park service to launch. Where is the launch for that stretch?

I put in at Worthington State park on the Jersey side. Even though I live in Pa, it's easier to get to than the Pa side ramps.
      Right across from Shawnee.

can you get up to bushkill boat ramp ? how much water can you get through in middle of july ?

    • @wprice6227
      @wprice6227  6 років тому

Yes, I have gone to bushkill ramp from Worthington. The toughest part is coming back down through rapids at the hogback with kayak traffic. It probably draws a ft stopped, 6 inches on plane.

Again, jackets out in front of windshield and easily accessible. Boat over 22 ft long, water temp 66f, they are not required
      at this time of year.

My youngest is wearing one, rest of jackets are out, in front of windshield, easily accessible. Boat over 20 ft so not required to be worn at this time of year.

You're only showing your inexperience and ignorance not wearing life jackets. What good are your life jackets when you're thrown from the boat? Idiot.
