- Breast Abscess generally occurs when mastitis is not treated appropriately. It is important to understand the symptoms of breast abscess so you can get treatment before it's too painful. Breastfeeding after breast abscess may seem like very complicated but it can be done with some valuable tips.
So, in this video, I have given brief overview of Breast Abscess symptoms, preferable mode of treatments and tips to resume breastfeeding after the breast abscess is removed.

I got needle aspiration and after that 7 days antibiotics my wound cured after antibiotics there is no redness and pain but area of that lump hard inside skin with no milk when i pump from unaffected side then milk from affected side leak normally but its not get full hard as like normally producing breast do i go back to visit dr or its fine

Hello ma'am i got surgery 3 days before, doctor has left open wound. Milk leakage is there in the open wound. Incision is along the aerola border, so i can't pump or feed. Will the breast be engorged again, while this is healing

About 20 days later It was difficult to latch on the affected side, a week's time and everything was back in place, and feeding comfortably now
Recently I came from dr with Drainage of my wife breast. but she is feeling another abscess opposite side of traeted area. is that possible again in same breast? but its not paining like that no redness like that. but its feeling like lump. tell me what shoud i do?
Hello, If she had breast abscess which is recently drained, then it must be difficult to breastfeed or express from that breast, because of this the milk in the breast can get accumulated in the form of lump.
She can try to hand express milk as much as possible, if possible breastfeed from that breast. No massage over the lump but she can gently apply pressure while expressing milk. It may resolve with this.
If lump is doesn't resolve or becomes painful, red or if she gets fever, you have to visit the doctor.
Hello... I got my abscess surgery on 13th Feb and my doctor told me not to feed from that breast for 10 days...now the size of both the breast is very different... initially supply also got reduced in that breast...which is now ok as I fed more from that breast but the size variance is still there...will it ever be normal..??

How many days took to resolve the surgery pain? How many days dressing is done for you. Actually on 7th jun i got abscess surgery. I am getting so much of pain.
@@anushasomu5753 it was not much painful post surgery... and they called me twice for dressing...after that I was doing it on my own...I got two cuts though...and both of them are healed now...so don't worry...you can have PCM tablets for pain.

@@lavanyavelu4022 my surgeon adviced me to start pumping from 3rd day only as my cut was not near the areola. Milk stopped coming from the cut after 6-7 days and after 15 days of surgery I started breastfeeding also from that very breast.
