Unfortunately my bun cannot be fully free roam because there are always kids in my house, and I do not want him to get hurt if he is not under my supervision. However, he is free to roam for 1 hour in the morning while i’m getting ready for work, and at least 3 hours in the evening after I get home. My family also lets him out throughout the day if there are no children. Also, his cage is like a bunny apartment 😂 it has 5 levels to it, and he loves it. There are times when he doesn’t want to get out, or he’ll put himself back in when he’s had enough roaming. Makes me happy to know he loves his home❤️
As well as I would love my rabbit to be free-roam, I too have a younger sibling ( at least a toddler ) who I don't want to leave him roaming around ( I did have him for awhile when I first brought him in but that was about the time he started getting aggressive with everyone, due to hormones, and bit my brother when I left to take out the trash; my parents were semi-supervising the both of them at that time ), he has yet to understand not to chase after him much less refrain from poking my rabbit in his eyes. Ideally, I'd like to have him free-roam in my room BUT my parents continue to force me to share a room with my sister, who does not agree letting him be free-roam. So sadly, I have to stick with an pen/enclosure until I can have my own place that allows animals and permits me to allow him be a free-roam.
Not every bunny home can be free roam and that’s ok. We all want to give the best possible to our buns and sometime not free roaming is best depending on your situation. Sounds like your bunny has a great home. 🐰❤️
Is it good that my bunny is living in a cage? The cage is huge, for a chincilla (my aunt gave it to me) And because its very high we made a second floor the same size as the other one, but we let my bunny out to exsersize and play is that good please answer anyone!
Forest berri in my opinion as long as you have a cage with a good amount of space, At least 8sq.ft., And your bunny is getting time out daily for exercise. Then that is not bad. Like I said in my previous comment, yes free roaming is ideal, but not everyone has that option. Just make sure your bunny has all the necessities like a litter box, hay rack & a place to hide. definitely make sure the cage is cleaned regularly & your bunny has time out as much as you can. Attaching an xpen to the cage can be a great way to provide your bunny with more space too. 🐰❤️
Lennon The Bunny my rabbit currently lives in a living world deluxe rabbit cage but once she's spayed and 100 % potty trained she's being moved to a xpen. I plan to get her the xpen by December
She sleeps in her cage and sometimes she’s in it when I’m at school, but she’s almost ALWAYS out. I’m gonna get her spayed, what age do you think would be a good age?
My rabbit is mostly free roam at my house but when we travel to my in laws we gate her into the kitchen. She lets us know when she feels too restricted because if we don’t give her at least an entire room to run around in shell hop over the gate. So even though we know she has the ability to hop the gate and get into mischief, we know she won’t hop it if we give her enough space
One thing you might want to mention is to make the hidey house always have at least two exits. You mentioned using a box with a hole but it should have one in the back and front. This mimics a bunnies natural burrow which has many escape routes for them.
I just had an idea, make a box with an entrance and an exit, that it can almost fit through. Might keep it occupied chewing the hole bigger. Keeping bunnies occupied while they're home alone is always a good thing.
Well there are so many things you can provide a bunny to keep them busy. Just having a shallow open box full of paper will keep them busy. Give them lots of toys, things to chew on or just give them some cardboard to gnaw on... there is an endless number of things to keep bunnies occupied. It doesn't have to be expensive... lots of free options exist. They do love tunnels a whole lot.
Oh yes, I was just thinking of yet another idea. If they love to burrow, they might love opening up an opening of a back of a box for an escape. Just trying to think in the mind of a rabbit. :D
They love digging as well... so it is nice to give them a digging box... maybe a box just filled with paper they can dig in or something that can simulate their love of digging and burrowing.
I'm so happy to find your channel via Binky Bunny's post. I had a free roam Havana mix that looked just like Lennon. We adopted him from a shelter and shared 7 wonderful years with him. Unfortunately he died a year or so ago from liver failure. My wife and I loved him so much! Thank you for sharing these videos with us :-)
Yes!!!! I've been waiting for this!!!! Especially because I'm getting my rabbit next weekend. Thanks🙏🏻 Also your my favorite UA-camr!!!! EDIT: AHHHHHH YOU LIKED MY COMMENT😘😩 AND AN UPDATE IS I GOT MY BUNNY!!!
I just wanted to say thank you so much for making these videos they're extremely informational for rabbit owners such as myself, I'm 13 years old and I love my wabbit, I've had him since august in 2017 so tysm I love you and Lennon for helping my family with videos. 💜💙💚💛💓
This was a FANTASTIC video! You were able to inform folks about some pros and cons of bunnies as companions in such a short amount of video time. GREAT job! And Lennon is such a little star. :-)
We free roam our bunny when we are home. When we are not home she shares a very large enclosure with our two small dogs (who she gets along with wonderfully).
Willow has 2 pens together and a second floor. I'm not home enough to let her out all the time so I tried to make her home as fun and large as possible so she can still run around and get exercise.
I love your UA-cam channel, ever since I’ve gotten my own rabbit (Oreo) I’ve been trying to find videos to help me care for her, since she was my first ever pet that’s not a dog. Then I found your channel, it’s been very helpful for me to see your videos on how you care for Lennon, your techniques help me have a easier life with Oreo.😂❤️
Thank you so much for all your videos, I went to my friends to meet her bunny and it was in a cage with a water bottle! Thank you for helping me help other people keep there rabbits healthy!
thank you for making videos like this, my bun was in a roofed cage and now he has a big no roof cage where he binkies, hops playfully and has lots of fun!
Lorelei... This video is perfect 😊 I think it got everything you need for a playpen. Btw my bunnies are living on my balcony yet but in about 2 months they will come in again and I really want to try them living as free roamers. But just in my room because I'm not living alone. But I think my rabbits would pee or poop on my wooden floor when Im not home to clean it. And I really don't want to watch out while every step I'm taking I could step into it.... Maybe I will just let them out when Im home
I really appreciate the videos you have made. This past weekend I had rescued a White New Zealand bunny from an elderly woman who had the rabbit dumped on her from family members. The rabbit (Pooshka) has been locked in a 2ft x 3ft cage for over 2 years straight, since a baby. When I saw her I immediately told the elderly woman I would take her home and get her treated. She has open pee burn on her foot, her nails were 1.5-2" long and she has an external tumour which was bleeding, as well as a ruptured blood vessel on her ear probably from her long nails. I stumbled on your channel as I am not a bunny owner, and immediately left her cage door open so it would be her choice to leave, and by nighttime she had come out to investigate, with some trouble hopping, and she got winded very quickly. It is day 3, she is coming out a lot more and investigating us, and even likes our cats (what are the chances) She has sniffed all of our cats without a hint of being scared. I have binge watched a ton of your videos this weekend, and am very confident that this bunny will be a free roamer in no time. She has been to the vet, and currently uses her existing cage to pee, so we can use that for litter training (She has had 0 accidents so far). Once again, thank you for your videos. I believe most people think animals are messy and stinky because they keep them in cages, and if only they had some education they could enjoy their animals much more than they do. Pooshka is our 16th animal to end up at our place and she thanks you as well for educating us :)!
They sell a heavy duty wire lid on amazon for x-pens now. I bought one and it has been great for keeping my cats out of bunny's enclosure. I'm also putting a loft in there today to free up some floor space for hopping.
I bet... she tasted freedom and hated being confined in a cage. I mean how would you feel if you were stuck in a small cage all the time? It is so much better seeing a free and happy Lennon.
lynn crosby I know but it made me sad seeing her looking to get out looking like she was asking "What did I do wrong? Why am I being trapped inside here?" Perhaps she was too convincing with her acting because I really felt her torment.
Another great video thank you ! 😍 My rabbit is 4 years old and she lives in a cage but we let her free roam when we are at home. She use the litterbox that was for our cat (same as yours) and she loves spending time in it ! And yes sometime she chew the bars when she really wants to go out !

Hello, my name is Grace I really wanted a bunny so I started researching and while I was researching I came upon your videos and it helped so much I didn't even know bunny's could free roam and I wanted to thank you for making all those vids.
I just got one of these play pens.. and our girl Nayla seems to like it.. Thank you for the info on the toys.. i have to get some more.. Hello to you and Lennon Xo
I'm getting a lionhead/dutch cross baby bunny this weekend. I am getting c and c grids for his or her cage. He/her will only be in there the first two nights. During the day he/she will be freeroaming. I am pretty excited.
this might have to be my favorite video of yours thank you for helping me because I had no clue what cage they needed and stuff like that, i'm gonna keep watching these videos because I need some help so I can be a bunny expert like you!
So true with the hidey house! Our bunny free roams 24/7 and his favorite spot for napping is under our desks. Or in his cardboard box. Gotta be safe from all those hawks :)
This is a good video and I have question I know bunnies aren't aloud to be in cages but can we kinda use the play pen as a "cage " then free roam them for the 4 hours? #lennonthebunny ❤❤
pen and cage are not the same thing :) If you want to use the pen as a home base, that's fine. But truthfully, no bunny should be enclosed as a long-term solution.
My 2 bunnies clover and smokey are in a pen but they love it outside! They always come up to me and nudge on me (in a cute way) and I love them so much! And plus since they are not potty trained they can not be inside anymore.
my goal is to free roam my two bunnies, but right now not both of them is understanding the purpose of litter training so I leave them out for some hours in the morning untill they get a bit more tired or when I need to leave, same at ht time they get out again but then in the morning the rattle the cage and wake me up (well salty does, pepper doesn't 🙈)
You’re such a good bunny mom💜 I wish my parents would let my rabbit be free roamed:( I also wish I could spend as much time with my bun a u do with Lenny💜
Best informative video I've watched! Thank u so much! I just bought a bunny from the pet store and I had no idea how to take care of it. I asked for advise but they literally rode me off. Thank you so much!!
HELP MEEEEE My mom doesn't understand what my bun bun needs. This is what we have: -wire cage (ARUGHHHH* -No hay ( does paper work were allergic. - SMALL CAGE (like.....11 inches IM ALLERGIC TO MY BUN
Huge thanks to both you and Lennon, seeing your interactions with her have convinced me to get a rabbit for purpose as an ESA as opposed to a dog. Will definitely be putting your advice to good use. I even got a hanging wire grid letter box style organizer for use as a nice big hay rack. :) First bunny supply purchase!
Unfortunately for me free roaming is not an option but I would love it to be in the future! I also have to put a lid/ roof over my pen because both my rabbits can jump out of the pen (no hidey house or box required) so it’s the only way to stop them from escaping. neither of them mind it though. Lennon is so cute and looks like she has the happiest life a bunny could ask for 😍❤️
If we get raised ceramic feeding bowls is there anything we should opt for? Like should they have an angle or be so short or be so tall? Thank you for all your videos!
I wanna get a bunny, but ima have to potty train it first. So I will have to put towels or something on top of my carpet until it were to get potty trained!
I recently got a bunny and I let him free roam when I’m home and give him cuddles but when I work I keep him in his pen and he loves it. He always gets the zommies
I wish I could free roam but my parents are unsure if it ☹︎ but i can get a very large x pen and will occasionally free roam in my room :). You are the youtuber that I've watched you since I've even starting thinking about owning buns.. you are great and are the reason I know bunnies don't belong in cages and definitely need hay 😉 your a great youtuber and my favourite ♡♡
my bunny currently has a retired big dog kennel but i’m going to try and see if my parents will let me get an x pen :D we can’t have him free roam in the house because we have 4 dogs and 3 cats so that’s a no go and his room that i have him able to roam in is carpeted and he likes to chew on it, so i’m asking for some puzzle mats and an x pen so he can have some more space but not be at risk for eating the carpet lol! when it gets drier out we’re planning on taking him outside some so he can see some change of pace and sunshine
I was thinking about telling you that where am I suppose to set up a play pen for a bunny and what kind of hiddie house for a rabbit . And there you go you made this video and I have got a solution . Thank you #Lennonthebunnyisawesome. 😚😚😚❤❤❤❤❤
You are so caring and loving person. Lenon is lucky to have you.
Yep!
That’s so true

Wow! This sounds just like my rabbits daily routine
*Hidey houses can relive anxiety’
I need a hidey house
OMG I HAVE ONE!!!! ...my room.
I need one 2, human sized.
I need one 😭
Build a Tree fort like I did.
Lol like seriously though, maybe clean out your closest and use it as a place for revealing anxiety?
Do your rabbits free-roam or are they in a pen?! Comment below!
Lennon The Bunny my rabbit currently lives in a living world deluxe rabbit cage but once she's spayed and 100 % potty trained she's being moved to a xpen. I plan to get her the xpen by December
I have a loft bed. We have built a full house for a rabbit underneath. They are free roam in my room because my dogs are not rabbit friendly.
She sleeps in her cage and sometimes she’s in it when I’m at school, but she’s almost ALWAYS out. I’m gonna get her spayed, what age do you think would be a good age?

I should do this whenever my parents has guests that don't appreciate my bunny attacking them for no reason
They should be more appreciative
Nibbles of love
After watching your videos, my rabbit is much more calm with me and he is doing great with all the tips you gave!!
Gucci The Bunny congratulations on your improved relationship with your bunny. It’s so amazing when you have that closeness! 🐰❤️

You take such great care of Lennon! I wish everyone took time to care for their rabbits this way, it makes all the difference!
Can you make a video about a rabbit poop guide? I’m always worried about whether or not my bunny’s poop is normal or not.
Thank you for the video idea 💡 🐰❤️
Aww so sweet lennon looks so happy!
We also have four bunnies, Arnold, Emelie, Pink & Floyd. Lennon is so cute!🐰
I don't have a rabbit but I watch your channel seeing Lennon makes me happy she's so adorable
we have 14 bunnies and they LOVE hopping around freely Especially when we walk them on leashes :D
How do you get them to walk on a leash and not jump out the harness 😞.
14 ! Wow ! That's a lot of veggies and a lit of poop !
14 wow

I recommend litter training!
I really appreciate the videos you have made. This past weekend I had rescued a White New Zealand bunny from an elderly woman who had the rabbit dumped on her from family members. Pooshka is our 16th animal to end up at our place and she thanks you as well for educating us :)!
Awee your bunny is so adorable❤️ great video ☺️
They sell a heavy duty wire lid on amazon for x-pens now. I bought one and it has been great for keeping my cats out of bunny's enclosure. I'm also putting a loft in there today to free up some floor space for hopping.
Lennon looks so out of place in a pen. It is hard seeing her locked up.
Trader Dave she hated it!!!
I bet... she tasted freedom and hated being confined in a cage. I mean how would you feel if you were stuck in a small cage all the time? It is so much better seeing a free and happy Lennon.
Thats why she is free roam :)
lynn crosby I know but it made me sad seeing her looking to get out looking like she was asking "What did I do wrong? Why am I being trapped inside here?" Perhaps she was too convincing with her acting because I really felt her torment.
My bunnies doesn't like free roam. he gets really stressed out so he lives in a big xpen in my room
Thanks for suggesting new ideas
Sorry I’m not early I was busy love your videos so helpful with my two rabbits
Another great video thank you ! 😍
My rabbit is 4 years old and she lives in a cage but we let her free roam when we are at home. She use the litterbox that was for our cat (same as yours) and she loves spending time in it !
And yes sometime she chew the bars when she really wants to go out !
Great tips I will use these
Hi. My daughter Chloe and i have been watching all of your videos since we found you a few months ago. We watch a few of them before I put her to bed.she loves Lennon. The birthday vid was a big hit for her. Thank you for all you do. Best wishes.
Chloes dad

this might have to be my favorite video of yours thank you for helping me because I had no clue what cage they needed and stuff like that, i'm gonna keep watching these videos because I need some help so I can be a bunny expert like you!
"Imagine being locked up in a room without a cellphone"
Me: AHHH!!

My 2 bunnies clover and smokey are in a pen but they love it outside! They always come up to me and nudge on me (in a cute way) and I love them so much! And plus since they are not potty trained they can not be inside anymore.
I love your vids and I am a really big fan I'm going to make a channel inspired by you
Hops the bunny
my goal is to free roam my two bunnies, but right now not both of them is understanding the purpose of litter training so I leave them out for some hours in the morning untill they get a bit more tired or when I need to leave, same at ht time they get out again but then in the morning the rattle the cage and wake me up (well salty does, pepper doesn't 🙈)
My bunny officialy became litter trained😄💕now she is allowed to free roam my room

I even got a hanging wire grid letter box style organizer for use as a nice big hay rack. :) First bunny supply purchase!
My bunny spends 50% of his time his container and 50% out of his container.
Wtf in a container
I love Lennon and i love u!!! New bunny member!!!🤗😺😻🙀🐇🐇🐇
Unfortunately for me free roaming is not an option but I would love it to be in the future! I also have to put a lid/ roof over my pen because both my rabbits can jump out of the pen (no hidey house or box required) so it’s the only way to stop them from escaping. neither of them mind it though. Lennon is so cute and looks like she has the happiest life a bunny could ask for 😍❤️
Not everyone can free roam and that’s ok. The important thing is to provide a large home base, daily playtime & interaction with you. 🐰❤️
Im getting a rabbit soon and I'm researching as much as I can! This gave me some good tips and advice, thank you!
First and very helpful
Lennon is the perfect bunny 💖
Your little bunny is so cute!!💕💕💕
If we get raised ceramic feeding bowls is there anything we should opt for? Like should they have an angle or be so short or be so tall?
Thank you for all your videos!
sooo helpful! I love your channel, i might get a bunny soon!
I love how you say people you say hey every bunny 😊
I wanna get a bunny, but ima have to potty train it first. So I will have to put towels or something on top of my carpet until it were to get potty trained!
I recently got a bunny and I let him free roam when I’m home and give him cuddles but when I work I keep him in his pen and he loves it. He always gets the zommies
I love the bowl stand it looks cute!😆👍🏻
00:01 hey every bunny
I wish I could free roam but my parents are unsure if it ☹︎ but i can get a very large x pen and will occasionally free roam in my room :). You are the youtuber that I've watched you since I've even starting thinking about owning buns.. you are great and are the reason I know bunnies don't belong in cages and definitely need hay 😉 your a great youtuber and my favourite ♡♡
Can u do a video about the foods they need and should be having
Just got me a bun yesterday. I'm cleaning up around the apartment so he can free roam❤️❤️
my bunny currently has a retired big dog kennel but i’m going to try and see if my parents will let me get an x pen :D we can’t have him free roam in the house because we have 4 dogs and 3 cats so that’s a no go and his room that i have him able to roam in is carpeted and he likes to chew on it, so i’m asking for some puzzle mats and an x pen so he can have some more space but not be at risk for eating the carpet lol! when it gets drier out we’re planning on taking him outside some so he can see some change of pace and sunshine
Great video! Where did you get the wooden hidey house at?
Julia Benner small pet select! Its a bit pricey though :(

I have a free roam rabbit but she has an open hutch she can go into and she still sometimes goes in a bites on the bars! I think she just likes it!
