The double-team press is amazing. It adds another layer to the defending part of the game - Instead of the regular team pressing it allows you to use semi team pressing. Took me hours to master and I have yet to really, but it's worth every minute of it.

That directional change using the L2 button in defense was a little detail that was costed me so many goals. Wow, so simple yet so effective. I’ll prevent a certain genre of goals now. Thanks boras

I find just using jockey defending helps get the ball back so much more and using the midfielders lw rw etc to defend to like helps defend so much better

@@thirtyred7091 bruh I was shite especially at tactics and defending. Didn’t really understand what I had to do. After watching a few of his videos from fifa 22, I massively massively improved my game play. Not like I’m some pro now or anything. Far from that. My friends used to rough me up but right now they are no match for me.
@@uncleted470 I've just started implementing this stuff today but it seems it takes some getting used to. Like I find myself sometimes over pressing and sometimes it just doesn't work out in general but I should improve with practice. I think I also have to change my tactics, play around with formations etc.
@@thirtyred7091 you are absolutely right. It takes time and lots of practice. If I may, disregard the pressing. Only use it when u feel u are good enough. Try as much as u can to stay in formation. Maintain ur shape. Don’t drag CBs out of position.
Last year my defence was amazing but this year it’s completely garbage but after watching boras video I went from conceding 4-5 goals per match to now only 1 or 2 and somtimes 0

Oh gawd I cant defend to save my life on 23. Thank you for making this vid. My only issue is with covering the center...one of my favorite battles is my left/right back vs winger. I cant abandon this aspect of the defensive game.

In relation to your subject for demonstration over successful defence I am willing to put some comments on PENALTY existing rules of FIFA---------When a striker is just entering a penalty box to score how the opponent defenders and goal keeper should obstruct that striker without facing penalty ? Should they remain silent in movement or protect any way to prevent score ? It has been observed at several previous occasions when a better team has been made bound to accept defeat and opponent weaker team earns victory as a result of disputed /debatable penalty .. Probably FIFA management should look to it for rectification/modification of this rule . Thanks

Can someone tell me then, when it’s best to use standing tackle? I know when to use slide tackle but usually jockey is enough so, when to use standing tackle ( apart from blocking a shot)

For secondman press: How to hold the controller to press R1 and R2 at the same time? (RB/RT). Are you pressing the trigger and the bumper with the index finger? Can't find videos online on how to do this. Was thinking about rebinding, but that makes it a fuzz when playing on other ppls console :P

Idk if it's exactly the same on old gen cuz i still play on xbox one but, beucasue i always sprint with R1/RB instead of R2/RT, most buttons are always switched up with stuff like this

Last yr I was comfortable in elite and this yr I can even get into fut champs
Can you do a vid on keeping the ball, opponents keep intercepting too many passes in midfield and im playing very patient possesion football, taking a touch etc. The ai interceptions are ruining the game for me. Also, my fast attackers are being caught up by slow defenders, im not enjoying the game.
I’m in exactly the same position my fast attackers are getting in behind then being caught up to straight away but my opponents don’t seem to have the same problem so frustrating

Any ideas why i feel im under constant pressure against every opponent, i pass the ball an there on me straight away, the stam not going down that much so there not always on constant pressure
takes time... pretty sure you would be a much better version than you were 1 year ago.. try 1-2 passing (first touch) between two players.. since you are saying that your opponent presses... if you give a back pass... your opponent (who is already in pressing motion) will move out of position of your player and space will be created...
constant pressure (high pressing) isnt always the best defending tactic.

My best solution to defend is to have a very full mid field that constantly pressing, I wouldn’t tackle with my defense until maybe 20 yards from the box

I can defend but the problem is the game refuse to register the way you move, well sometimes your players take the ball then the ball goals back to your opponent again.

Just my experience, I defending FIFA 23 on ps5 is good, but when switch to ps4 FIFA 23,all my centre back is absolutely like stump and stupid when encounter with fast striker,all the cb is like stop 0.5 second and just watch striker go, and after striker past the cb, and then cb tried to chase.... The button I usually use for defend is run, jockey and pull button
What about when you’re second pressing using Legendary Defending. It’s annoying when I use it and it make my player perform a tackle
