@@CaseyReneeCosplay I'm in a Good Society game (it's a Jane Austen-inspired Regency ttrpg) and our version has vampires. I gotta send the group the Bridgerton video and this one!
More ruffles and more interchangeable pieces are totally going to happen. I feel like there needs to be a part 2 in the future with all the new pieces I want to make lol
You are so meticulous when sewing. I love the outfit and I especially love the heart. Everything is so beautifully made and it fits you to a Tee. It must have taken you a long time to make this. Yes, I am jealous of your skills and how neat the dress and your work space it. Have a great day!
I think I am going to go the bar hook method, I'll still add the ruffle and see how it looks because the snaps I used are industrial so they don't budge when I move but if it still looks bad I'm going to switch them out for bar hooks.
You did a good job. I'm going to start making crocheting some scarfs for sell. I can't do it on Etsy because I got to pay for it before I can sell it. By the way. Wicked the Musical just celebrated their 20th anniversary.
I love hooks and bars for skirts but I wasn't sure how they would hold up on the bodice but it seems like a ton of people suggest this method so I'm going to go for it!
It just depends on what's easier for you. I personally prefer to use a hold punch for my grommets but some people prefer to use an awl. Personally with an awl I've found that it takes a lot more work to make it look good.
If you don't love snaps try skirt hooks and bars. It looks amazing!!!!!
Ooooo I have plenty of those, that's a great idea I think I will try that! I even have some in black and that might help them blend in a bit.
Ah, a new installment to the "But Make It Goth" series after the Regency gown! I love this, it turned out great!
Yasss! I just couldn't resist this opportunity to make a Gothic Rococo Gown!

Suggestion for snaps: Using a threaded "bar" to hook onto. Used in historical garments and has more of a concealed look.
Yes! More ruffles!! It came out beautifully! Love it!

Thank you so much, that's so kind of you to say!
Instead of the pin/stab yourself method, I use bar hook & eyes. I was always worried my snaps would let go with my flailing lol

@@CaseyReneeCosplay ruffles are a life saver. I've used them to hide so much 😂😂

Omg yes please make one! I seriously felt so fabulous!
My favorite closure is hooks and bars

CONGRATULATIONS!!
Thank you!
Hi Casey! Would you recommend using a hole punch for grommets, or rather separating the fibres like with an awl or something?
It just depends on what's easier for you. I personally prefer to use a hold punch for my grommets but some people prefer to use an awl. Personally with an awl I've found that it takes a lot more work to make it look good.

Would hook and bars be better than snaps?
I think that's the route I'm going to go.
