God Hates Us All came out on 9/11/01. I was 15. I went to my teacher and asked to leave early because I was shocked by the attacks and needed to take the day. When in fact, I left early to pick this album up because the mall was closing in an hour due to the attacks. Disciple was a good choice for that day. SLAYER!!!!!!!!!!
I was 22. I picked up the new Slayer. Went out for a drive and listened to it, went home and worked out, then turned on the tv in the evening and saw the news.
I had no Idea it came out that day. I was working at Westchester County Airport. I just came back from doing our airline contracts calls. We got called to the pilot lounge after the first plane hit. We had thought it might be one of our flight schools plane's. Then the second plane hit we knew it was a terrorist attack. Everyone was sent home for safety reasons. Was such a sad day.
i fuckin' love dave, every time he plays he has this effortless look on his face, he's in the fuckin' zone it seems like other drummers have to try really hard to keep it together
man, it's rare to see someone devote so much time to hating on a band. I think you have a secret love affair with slayer. Admit it, you keep coming back because you can't get enough of this song. You'll be happier with yourself when you accept your love to hate. And there is no band that embodies such a sentiment better.
It's great that you are from Croatia and listen to the Vader !! :)) Poland is my home country and I've been to their concerts many times! Keep on rocking!
When King plays on guitar a catchy riff, he always bangs his head in his characteristic, sick way. Funny guy, great musician. God Hates Us All was a great album!
Oh man, i fucking love that right at the beginning. they play the really short intro part and all three of them go into their headbanging, that's so cool.
Slayer opened with Disciple when I saw them June 11 04 in Moncton NB Canada. Fucking amazing show! I got to meet Tom after the show...he was baked out of his tree LOL Damageplan was their opening act....got to see Dime solo 10 feet in front of me, and less than 6 months later he was taken from us. Metal will never die. Fuck pop and fuck the mainstream. Metal up your ass, Up the irons, and FUCKIN SLAYER!!!!!!
for all of ye complaining about toms voice consider this he was only 2 weeks out of surgery for gall bladder problems, all things considered i reckon he sounds great still to this day
@BILLYDEADKID pues porsupuesto que tom es chileno al igual que lombardo es cubano.. un orgullo que 2 latinos toquen en una de las mejores bandas de metal de todos los tiempos!!! soy costarricense x cierto :P
The easiest explanation is that a fill is any action on the drums that is not part of the basic backbeat. For a more accurate and in-depth explanation, see wikipedia. Generally, when you hear amateurs like myself complaining about or comparing fills, we tend to be referring to fast or complex, noticable tom rolls. Tom-toms are generally the drums above the snare, and the floor toms are the giant, flat mounted drums sitting either to the drummer's right or left (depending on handed-ness).
Well mate, I can tell you that I proudly saw Slayer with Megadeth three days ago...and Tom's voice was fucking incredible, waaaay better than this vid. He's not as much out of breath anymore. You're going to see them next month? Well I won't ruin the experience for you but I can tell you that their Intro is amazing!!! Have fun seeing them!!!
He's stated that his songs are just that, awesome songs with edgy subjects. They have no bearing on his personal life beyond that. I think that's pretty cool, having your way of believing, but being open minded enough to perform a song simply because its fun and cool. Mad respect for Tom and Slayer.
Yeah they prob did not do a warm up before .plus they are playing fast, you have to run thru your set in the proper order..its hard to just pick a song then play it. they prob just walked in the studio and cranked this out. It is still great!!
Henneman plays his guitar like a fucking machine gun! I got tickets to see these guys with Megadeth. Should be an awesome show. See you in P-town bitches!
HOLY SHIT! how do u create a song this righteous and then just normally go on with your life after that. That drummer could probably take out a whole demon army with his bare fuckin hands. My moneys on SLAYER!

9/11 was clearly an inside job: Slayer playing a prominent role, lol.
R.I.P.
Jeff Hanneman,
you will be missed.
Right!
Original lineup of Slayer kicks butt, no matter what Slayer song they are playing! This is incredible. Long live Slayer!
i fuckin' love dave, every time he plays he has this effortless look on his face, he's in the fuckin' zone it seems like other drummers have to try really hard to keep it together
The only other drummer I've seen that is like this is Austin Archey. Both guys are very creative and ridiculously skilled
I love "Seasons..." "Reign..." and all the rest, but I think this is their absolute best song ever hands down. The energy on it is unmatched.
100 percent agree.
Yall be always forgetting hell awaits and divine intervention
@@screwstonTXmeskin713 yeah especially Divine Intervention is totally underrated
RIP Slayer.
We Will miss you guys
Slayer can never die.
Dat synchronized head banging tho
KISSFreak2011 & what's best is: It's not like they planned it either?! The power of that devastating, world-slaying RIFF compels them \m/
I love how Kerry moves his whole body when he headbangs.
It's easier on the neck - 40 years of headbanging can't healthy for the ol' vertebrae
@@Jw071 exactly
🤣 He drivez a Tow Truck on weekends.. ⛓
Dave makes drumming look like the easiest thing to do. The coolest drummer ever
Paul Bostaph here.
@@panzer-head this is not Paul. This is Dave playing Pauls song.
He does doesn't he... so fluid a hell of a drummer...🤘🤘
@@panzer-head This is Lombardo dude... WTF...
Igor Cavalera❤❤❤.
You can tell tom was Sick during this, Even during the interview his voice was quiet like a kitten i'm surprised he pulled it off this well.
Hanneman and Lombardo, the only Slayer 😈💜😈
You know it!
2:16 Tom runs out of air.
I saw Slayer 5 times!!! What a blast!
This was the first slayer video I watched, about 8 years ago. It changed my life, no way around it. Hail
Tied with a few others as my favorite Slayer song. Probably their best song the later albums. ...
When Tom cuts his beard, he instantly looks 15 years younger
Whoa man, the way band fall into song within 2 seconds, it took me by surprise.
Deekshant Prashar Same. That was awesome

"When I was your age, Tom Araya was headbanging"
"I never said a want to be god's disciple..."
This song kicks ass!
Full respect man that these men can do this at that age! True Metal!
My last three braincells moshing when i’m trying to take a test
(Plus I love Slayer)
It's great that you are from Croatia and listen to the Vader !! :)) Poland is my home country and I've been to their concerts many times! Keep on rocking!
This came out the week before I shipped to basic training, and I remember listening and pumping myself up to become a soldier in the U.S. Army.
I REJECT THIS FUCKING RAAAAACE, I DESPISE THIS FUCKING PLAAAAAAACE. Slayer forever, R.I.P. Jeff Hanneman.
When King plays on guitar a catchy riff, he always bangs his head in his characteristic, sick way. Funny guy, great musician.
God Hates Us All was a great album!
wow!they're awesome, not as full of energy as they used to be but are still unmistakeably legends!
slayer are metal gods. i dont care what anybody thinks
The ' Stone Cold ' Playing guitar and headbanging..Yeah
i just saw dave at a clinic,i stopped shivering an hour after it ended,i started talking again three hours later
Rollins being a huge Slayer fan and Slayer having roots in HC punk is interesting, it's like it comes full circle :)
Oh man, i fucking love that right at the beginning. they play the really short intro part and all three of them go into their headbanging, that's so cool.
SLAYER are the only Heavy Metal band that I will listen to as long as I live, that´s for sure. They´re real gods, they are the best!
I COULD SIT AND JUST LISTEN TO DAVE LOMBARDOS DRUM TRACKS ALL DAMN DAY. J.K.
Slayer opened with Disciple when I saw them June 11 04 in Moncton NB Canada. Fucking amazing show! I got to meet Tom after the show...he was baked out of his tree LOL

Damn it’s going to be hard to see these guys for the last time in LA the world won’t be the same without slayer
Tom - best metal voice,
Dave - best metal drums,
Kerry and Jeff - best metal riffs.
I think Paul Bostaph plays drums here, not Dave
@@panzer-head That's Dave Lombardo are you blind
And he IS an amazing drummer!
i miss Jeff Hanneman every time i see him play on here
Cool... still rock n' rolling at 48. My 47 years old Dad just sits on the sofa and watches TV ever day.

The only slayer. Rip Jeff.

That is Dave. The other drummer was Paul Bostich or whatever his name was. Dave plays a right handed drum set and Paul played a left handed.
Slayer makes me feel good! long live Slayer!!!!!!!!!!!
slayer is the shit after all these years. i just wish tom araya still screamed like he used to. but they are still awesome
Disciple sings slayer
dude our names are like the same
badass
o im seeing them the 25th im pumped
They are amazing musicians tecnically
My favourite Slayer live stuff !
@75mm
1981 was when the band was formed, actually. I'm sure the actual members were playing music before then, however.
These old dudes lack nothing, zero notta zip zilch.... these guys been tearing it up since early 80s...
if this song was made 20 years ago in slayers prime, the singing would be flawless, just prooves that even metal gods get old
REIGN IN BLOOD FOREVER SLAYER!💀🔪⚡💥🔥🤘
dave playing with a cold better then most drummer on a good day
Slayer, please, never change!!
This was the first video I watched on youtube ever.
I remember I was goin crazy on this song.. old good times...
Loved Toms saddam look
3.09.............Love this bit!!
Toms voice is better than ever!!
Slayer keeps me alive
in every vid i see of slayer, Jeff is just this ball of angry blonde hair playing the guitar... its great

Disciple is an extremely hard song to sing, especially while playing. Not a lot of time to catch a breath. And it's straining on the voice
I just put myself through a wood splitter and lived. Thank you Slayer.
the kings on the stage
7. sınıfa giderken okuldan internet cafeye kaçardım bu adamları süre bitene kadar dinlerdim.
13 years later there is still nothing that kills like a fully operational Slayer RIP JEFF
hope to see slayer next year, thought it will be their last tour right? slayer is so awesome! GOD HATES US ALL!!

This song is so raw, it's fucking awesome!

I was talking the other day with a priest about some old furniture from our oldest church in the city and I was wearing the God Hates Us All t-shirt.
