I hope the game gives you the opportunity to play with the original soundtrack too. The orchestral rendition is awesome, but i feel like it lacks the percussions in this one which sets the mood for me
@@averysketchygamer3241 Just heard the remix again to be sure - they replaced the disc scratch for a weird instrument that i can't recognize (they tried to simulate a similar sound, but failed) Live orchestral renditions tend to lack old midi/synth song's flow/punch - using SNES as example, because it used to rely a lot of lower bass and percussions...which is funny since Yuka used styles like hip hop to make flows.
@@TenebrisGladius No I know what you mean, but I'm saying there's a disc scratch in a new part of the track. If you want a specific part to look for, it's in between the clip of Mack and the clip of Knife Guy. It only happens once so it's easy to miss, but it *is* there. It's not as vital to the orchestra as this rendition, but I feel it was put there to reminisce on the older version of the theme Though I do agree, unless they change the song from its current 30 second loop state, I think the original is better. The way they used the disc scratches more frequently and how it made it feel overall more "Hip-Hop"-y. It was a lot more energetic than aesthetic. After hearing the trailer, I'm not sold on the new remake version that is trying to throw some jazz in there. It's fine.... This one just sounds better at first impression.
music, sfx, and visuals from spells are superior to the remake. the remake is a nice gesture of recognition, but the new version is made for speed running and passing of the story more than it is a challenge. heck, you can swap characters during battle if they fall asleep, that in itself breaks the game outright, among other things that also break it. was also baffled they changed a lot of the quotes and enemy names... I'll clobber you = It's clobbering time - Domino. Mad Adder + Earthlink is now Mad Adder + Bad Adder.. Magikoopa is now small instead of a menacing larger presence from the original. Not quite sure what they were going for with this remake, you can't even die in it.
This was the better boss theme because once this theme is on, things has gotten serious. I don't know why but the squid fight was the hardest because they always lowered your physical attack power and special attack power. And man listen, I'm going to cause alot of stir for this but Mallow is a beast when it comes to certain fights especially Smithy, let's just say Mallow has a special move that counts as a Phyiscal attack and I freaking cheesed it.
@Zac White oh I know that. Me and my brother were doing a challenge and we was going to see if Smithy can be beaten at lvl 16. He can. But against bosses you get your ass whooped also you can get one shotted. My team was Mario, Mallow and Geno.
