16:20 For those wondering: this style of motel is meant for lovers who drive in together in a car (or taxi) and not for those who simply walk-in. This explains why the prices are like that. It's meant for very short stays. You drive in, do your thing, and then leave. It is also why the reception looks like that. You transact with them thru the window of your car much like a drive-thru McDonalds. That is also why the ground floor is "empty". It is meant to be a garage for your car. You do the deed at the second floor. I... umm... learned this from a friend. 😆 24:20 Impressive how Filipino kids can conduct an English conversation quite well. This is a major reason why PHL is ideal for tourists. Btw, as usual, ALi is being EXCEPTIONALLY kind by giving them moolah at the end. ♥🤗♥ But rest assured, those kids are just happy to help and do not expect to be paid for it.
Very well said... Mahusay! True how the kids weren't really expecting to get cash.. Tipping culture here is uncommonly practiced when it comes to day-to-day transactions and purchases hence the vendors' surprised looks when he says, "No change."
Hey Ali, These interviews you are doing with ordinary people are priceless. The world can see what Filipinos do in order to survive and live in these challenging world. That man has two jobs to support his family and we here in the USA complains about everything. Please continue the good work. God bless!
I have been living here for almost 6 years with my wife now. The people here never cease to amaze me. Their ability to remain happy and have a good life even when dealing with some extreme levels of poverty is very inspiring. It makes you reevaluate your own happiness. It humbles you and it becomes so much easy to be happy. I always try to help random people as much as I can. A lot of the time the way you do it by just surprising good people with a bonus. Mainly the ones that don't try and foreigner tax me are typically the good people. Obviously my wife plays the biggest role in making me happy. I have never met a woman so amazing and beautiful in one package. If you're lucky enough to find a wife from this country you will thank your lucky stars everyday. Good luck on your hunt!

You know, bro, I just watched your vlog for the first time today, and you showed a characteristic of a Filipino: companionship. Getting along with people, especially those you don't know well, is a good example. You are very generous, especially to the candy seller grandma, and the Joyride rider. I am also a joyride rider, and we work very hard. The tip you gave is a big help because we earn 1,000 to 1,500 pesos for 8-12 hours. The tip you give will really make the rider go home immediately. I hope you will be given many more blessings, and I am sure that your subscribers will increase if you continue vlogging like that. Be careful when vlogging, and God bless you.
Thanks for your generosity Ali 🙌🏻 loved how the boys were respectful and helped you out, and the kind gesture you did for the lady selling candy clearly showed your kind heart. Keep it up, big respect👑💪
Thank you kuya ali for another awesome video! Every time I watch your videos, it feels like were travelling with you! Thank you for letting us experience Filipino’s kindness and yours too! Those kids and vendors were really kind and so are you!❤🇵🇭
You're literally the best UA-camr I've watched, your level of respect is something else, most UA-camrs are disgusted by other people's foods and living conditions but you interacted and ate everything with a smile ❤
I'm having a hard day earlier during my shift at work but watching your vlogs it gives me positive and good vibes then noticing myself smiling especially when you're trying the Filipino foods. Thank you Ali for loving Philippines 🥰
So proud of these boys! They also speak Good English:)-they are respectful, kind and very helpful!- I am Filipino living in US. These boys make me proud!! 😊
Cheap foods -58 pesos for the bread, 17 pesos,50 pesos and the old woman you gave nice tip each, you are so generous vlogger. . You are One of my favorite foreign vloggers. FilAm watching from Philadelphia. Thats where I studied college at PUP Sta.Mesa.
Hi Ali, I've been all over the Philippines over the last 30 years, and my first experience of cockroaches was on my very first visit, but it wasn't in a poor low cost hotel, I found them on the 6th floor of the Hilton hotel Roxas Blvd, Manila! great friendly kids, most Filipino people are so friendly 😊
I haven’t finished watching but too eager to comment😂… Here you are trying to save money for a hotel room, yet very generous to the JoyRide guy and the children.❤️ These love hotels adventure is too funny.😂 Oh Ali, been following you from California since last year but you’re making me fall in love with your channel even more, with your kind heart and generosity.🙏 May God Bless you more and keep you safe.🙏😊
Hi Ali! I just wanted to drop by and say thank you for taking us along on your incredible hotel journey, from the fancy ones to the budget options. You're so brave and adventurous! I found the Angkas transportation segment fascinating too. I wouldn't mind giving it a try myself, haha! Seeing you make that driver so happy by giving more than he was making was heartwarming. Someday, I hope to join you in trying out all the street foods in the Philippines. And your generosity in tipping is truly admirable. Watching your videos always brings me joy and it feels like I'm traveling with you. Can't wait to see what exciting adventures await you next!

@@GoWithAliYou've got the wrong term for what's it called to get a place to stay for longer period of time. Those places you've checked are for short time that's usually for couples to just have pleasure time with their partner and leave after so that is why it is expensive. Those rooms are not ment for settlers What you need to look for is called rent house or a rent room. Rent rooms cost around 3k to 5k pesos a month

Hi Ali You seemed to be a down to earth/ kind and generous person Just a gentle reminder, Filipinos are very kind and respectful people plus they speak English, but you still have to be very cautious and careful especially on those areas . Those kids are awesome. Take care
This video melts my heart!!!! ♥️ Ali you are honestly my favourite human. So kind, generous and take your time to know the locals!!! ❤️ The kids were absloutely adorable and smart and the sweet lady towards the end has stolen my heart, you are generous Ali you can tell she was beyond greatful. You're lucky to get to try those filipino breads ... thay're our all time favorites ..honestly those breads from the bakeries in the streets are tastier compared to the ones sold in malls or restaurants. Because they still use the old recipe and simple ingredients that makes the delicious. Nice video. Keep being nice to the locals and you'll earn a lot of good memories. It's what you'll miss when you are not in the Philippines. 😊
The Angkas driver's reaction after hearing Ali's message "no change" is priceless and funny at the same time😅😂.. And the ate vendor (she's beautiful) at Takoyaki store, she's an old subscriber of Ali, and didn't recognize Ali it at first ( I think because Ali is wearing a cap ) she just realize it lately until Ali gave his youtube card to them, it's a great moment there, somehow I felt goosebumps lol.. and lastly, helping that old woman vendor, giving her a 500 pesos, seeing the old woman having tears of joy and gratefulness, such a beauty in the eyes.. Hey Ali, Hahaha, I was in Mandaluyong visiting my wife and In Laws from mid May to the end of June. We were out with relatives going to Qiuapo Church in Manila and drove through the area you're in looking for the cheap motels just after you got off the JoyRide. It actually was an interesting area. I liked the character of the buildings, but it definitely had a seedy side to it. I only got to see it from inside the Van, but it was very obvious during the daytime exactly what kind of an area that is in the nighttime. I watched a few videos of your's in Tondo and some other places in Manila in the last few days. Thank you for bringing the Philippines to more people online. The country needs more visitors showing how beautiful the country and Filipinos are. Salamat po Kuya Ali!
We need to see you get a haircut, Ali! Barbershops i would personally recommend for fresh fades: Diamante Barbershop - San Andres, Manila Old School Barbershop - Santa Ana, Manila Lukkas Barbers - Paco, Manila Keep the vlogs coming big bro! Werpa lodi 🇵🇭
Well done Ali… generous in giving tips … “always keep the change” but humble to find a decent cheap place to sleep. He could have just paid for the 1,700 pesos but instead he gave the joyride driver a big tip. God Bless you Ali

Hi Ali, I really appreciate your videos! If you wish to stay in a cheap hotel you might wanna bring some moth balls (Alcamphor in Tagalog) you can buy them in groceries. You put them under your bed and windows of the motel even in the bathroom it keep bugs and cockroaches away .They don't like the smell of it . If you are not sensitive to menthol-like scent you might wanna try it. it costs only $1 per pack. I bring them with every time I travel. It will sanitize the room. You can also request for the hotel to sanitize or spray some disinfectants before your stay :) ingat
Watching almost of your video's Ali,while I myself got quarantined.. I adore you so much,❤ How amazing you are, Keep safe every single day. Halong permi bai

You made the old lady's day and probably her week. Lots of money for her , why she's giving you more. Filipinos nature of thanks and not to take advantage. Thank you Ali. God will always be with you.
These motels are not necessarily for prostitutes. Some couples have children at home and they need a quiet place to have fun. Or this could be a short “vacation” for the couple. Or boyfriends and girlfriends that still live with their parents and they need a place to have “fun” also. There’s a reason why the Philippines is one of the fastest growing population in Asia.😍🙂 Thanks for a very fascinating video tour.
I was going to comment this as well. I am Canadian with a Filipino partner and we have a 5-year-old son. We often stay at the Sogo when we come to PH and have an early flight out the next day. It's clean and affordable to stay for a few hours.

It means nothing to these vlogs but to this hard working people it means a lot. Thank you Ali for your endless support to these people you come across every day. I'm sure your kindness will be rewarded.
Humility not humbleness mangmang
Thank you Ali for showing the world how beautiful our country is and how friendly our people are. Thank you for showing kindness to them especially to the old lady candy vendor. It touches my heart. More power to your channel and take care on your next travel.
That’s 1hr and a half already??! Brother, felt like it was just 20 mins. I was smiling and laughing watching this episodes 😂 We want more of these 🇵🇭 series!! Definitely our favorite vlogger. Can’t wait for the next one!! Ingat Kuya Ali!!
Thanks for watching bro! Glad you loved it! May I know your favorite part about this week’s vlog?
The scene with the elder lady is truly heart warming. My whole family is following you now❤
You’re so kind Ali!!! Thanks for blessing those in need and also bringing them smiles. I’m sure they’ll never forget your kindness and generosity!

You're literally the best UA-camr I've watched, your level of respect is something else, most UA-camrs are disgusted by other people's foods and living conditions but you interacted and ate everything with a smile ❤
Thanks man, I believe in respecting all cultures and experiences. It’s all about embracing what’s unique!

Those kids are so helpful and kind. Kudos to them ❤
As they should! Glad I’ve met those kids.

@@GoWithAliYou've got the wrong term for what's it called to get a place to stay for longer period of time.
Those places you've checked are for short time that's usually for couples to just have pleasure time with their partner and leave after so that is why it is expensive.
Those rooms are not ment for settlers
What you need to look for is called rent house or a rent room.
Rent rooms cost around 3k to 5k pesos a month

Hey Ali,
Hahaha, I was in Mandaluyong visiting my wife and In Laws from mid May to the end of June.

These motels are not necessarily for prostitutes. Some couples have children at home and they need a quiet place to have fun. Or this could be a short “vacation” for the couple. Or boyfriends and girlfriends that still live with their parents and they need a place to have “fun” also.
