"Our shields are holding. Nice to know they work in combat."
"Remind me to send a thank-you note to General Shran."
Reminds me of the Axanar Ad "The Andorians? they were happy to supply us the phasers"
@@mrmrsgamer6938 so that's why TOS Phasers are blue.....
@@richardched6085 I never thought of that. I know it's retroactive logic, but that's probably *exactly* why they're blue.
Yes..... :)
You know, Trip made a FAR better Captain than "Wreck it" T'Pol. EVERY time she was in charge....argh. I'll bet the dock crews talked about her and trips's engineer staff talked about her behind her back... ;) . Hey, even in the impossible odds of this scene, the dude held his own for a while before they shredded the bridge
Enterprises Background music shaped up well after a while.
I like it.
I think it reached its Highpoint midway through Season 3 with music like this. Some of the music later that season and in a couple of Season 4-Episodes sounded a bit too 'Synthy' for my taste.
Schwatvogel: Yes, because they started to experiment with "emulated" virtual orchestra to cut their production costs later in the third season. Hopefully they didn't set the rule for the whole fourth season finale.
Indeed - it was less "8th season of Voyager" and became its own thing.
Enterprise gets a bad rap but the fact is that many of the episodes still hold up. There are several that I will still view even after seeing them a few times.
ABOSULTELY! There are some real classics.
Terra Prime... forever.
I have no doubt that if it got the full seven season run TNG, DS9 and VOY got, it would be held in similar esteem. It really started getting good from series 3 and 4.
I'd argue that it gets better with each rewatch ❤
Less than 6000 Humans left. The doomed bastion known as Ceti Alpha V. 3 Earth Starships Vs a fleet of 6 Xindi Vessels. This is even bleaker than BSG...
Well i agrree
Even if humanity manages to stop the Xindi and prevent them from sending the Superweapon or the rest of their fleet, Ceti Alpha VI will explode in the 2270s and humanity will be killed off. I have no doubt that Khan was only able to survive because he was an Augment. His wife sure wasn't.
@@procyon6370 She died from a Ceti Eel and apparently survived the disaster wrought by Ceti Alpha VI.
If the Xindi were defeated and the small human civilization prevailed. I have no doubt that they'd detect the instability of Ceti Alpha VI long before it happened. An evacuation would occur causing another great human migration. Using century old ships to navigate a very different universe than the one we're used to.
"We would have to overload three plasma injectors, that would send a feedback pulse through the reactor"
"You'll destroy the ship!"
"At this point, it won't make much of a difference"
You two get to a shuttle pod! They're only after humans; if this doesn't work; you can still have a chance.
Dennis McCarthy - great composer
"If you wouldn't mind, Phlox, I'd like you to escort our 'guest' to the airlock." S2 E26 "The Expanse"
Dennis McCarthy has gotten a bit of a bum rap for his work in the franchise... But keep in mind, he was told intentionally to dumb things down by cold hearted cyborg Rick Berman. This here, and his early TNG episodes, as well as Generations should prove, when he's allowed to be, he's really good.
I agree, I have the soundtrack to Generations on CD and it is one of his finest works. He's also done some music for the short lived television miniseries, "V: The Final Battle"
Many poor decisions can can be laid at the feet of Rick Berman.
@@peterlawless2686 Also his work on DS9 was epic
Jones and McCarthy had some amazing tracks, then Berman did a Berman. But when Coto and Braga took the helm the music went back to this style again. which is how it always should have been
I can picture the Battle of Cheron (An event that takes place around the same time as this episode in the normal Timeline) being set to this theme.
This is Dennis McCarthy . Holy fck it's good .
They're targeting the bridge!
Hard to Port!
A barrage of Particle Cannon Beams strike different areas of the bridge weakening the structure enough to effectively sever from the rest of the ship blowing the bridge crew into space....
"They're targeting the bridge!" Is probably one of the most shocking sentences said in the franchise.
Now that’s what I call real music.
Alternate reality Trip Tucker: "Charge the Phase Cannons!!!"
I approve. NX 92985 out.
Dalek 1: "Attack squad in position."
Dalek 2: "Lower area clear."
Dalek 1: "Proceed. Exterminate any aliens on site."
Daleks: "WE OBEY!!!"
Wrong show.
@@grassulus158 Oh, come on! I would like see an epic battle between the Dalek Empire versus the Xindi Reptilians and Xindi Insectoids. Wouldn't that be a cool crossover space battle to see? (Even though it's probably gonna end BADLY in a blood stained massacre for both the Xindi Reptilians and Xindi Insectoids)
Dalek Supreme: "We have ONLY been delayed! NOT DEFEATED! THE DALEKS ARE NEVER DEFEATED!!!"
@@jamieolberding7731 yeah but like the daleks have nothing to do with star trek
At :30 this takes cues from the matrix soundtrack
Does sound very similar. Wonder how much of a co-incidence it is though because Twilight aired verrrrry soon after the Matrix Reloaded was released. Would have been a tight timeframe for pilfering...
What soundtrack played when Osyraa captured discovery
I've started playing this against some of the axanar battle scenes as the background music - it ends up awesome ! try starting the music, and then switch to this at 1:33 ua-cam.com/video/Rig0YxxC1i8/v-deo.html
This episode made the Borg scary again.
You're thinking of Regeneration.
