I shook my head when people were declaring the series over after the first two games. They obviously weren't paying attention to Nuggets basketball. They have the best player on the planet, one of the best coaches in the game and a bunch of guys who know their roles and do them well.
I mean, it wasn't even necessarily that they lost the first two games, it was that they lost them at home and got absolutely obliterated in game 2. I honestly have no idea how and where these last two games have come from with Jamal Murray.
@@nydibs you are correct...I have watched every game last 2 years...and they looked sick (not well) the first 7 games of the playoffs....not a little off...WAY OFF...like someone gave them a mild flu or virus....it was painful watching them play against LA and horrible first 2 in Denver v MIN
I completely wrot them off. I believe in Jokic and Malone, but man, the bench is a dumbster heap and Murray did NOT look like he was gonna get it together. Nothing shocking about Jokic doing Jokic things but seeing the bench contribute and Murray suddenly look like last year's Murray and healthy all of a sudden was pretty unexpected for me.
One could make a strong argument that this series is the true finals of the entire postseason. Whoever wins this series is likely to win the chip. The Knicks aren't advancing because they're too injured, the Cavs aren't advancing because they're not talented enough, and it's hard to imagine the Pacers posing any threat to the Nuggets or the Wolves. The Celtics can be a contender again if Porzingis gets healthy, but there's no guarantee that will happen.
@@skap_attack Calling Murray a bum was silly bro. It's overreaction nonsense, it's the behavior of the idiots on twitter. For example they're all calling KAT a bum today and saying the Wolves should trade him next season. Now I'm not a fan of KAT but one or 2 bad games does not make a player trash. This is what's wrong with basketball discourse these days. Jordan shot 3-18 vs the Knicks in game 3 of the 93 ECF. I guess Jordan was a bum. See how silly this all sounds?

Fun fact: Ant played 45 minutes in this game. During that time Minnesota outscored Denver by 5 points. During the 3 minutes he was off the floor, they were outscored by 13 points. This might be an actual case of 'He needs some help'
@@detectivemarkseven Everybody looks slightly more bummish playing with 4-step James. Lakers probably have the most stacked roster in the league other than maybe the Celtics.
@@mattdeluccia153 Doesnt matter. If the guy leading is a bum, everybody becomes a bum. Thats why they got swept and almost got swept the second time. 🤣
@@williamgray5491 perhaps. It's unfortunate that I couldn't actually watch those games as I was not yet born during that time. You can say I am presently nostalgic if that makes any sense.
Same with you. Although I'm surprised that the Nuggets are being destroyed in the first 2 games, I'm not worried for them at all. Although this turns out to be a tough series, I got Nuggets in 6.
-- Me? I was worried but I didn't count them out either. They came back TWICE down 3-1 in 2020. So with 3 days of rest for Jamal and minor adjustments on the offense, Denver killed Games 3 and 4.
People seemed to forget that this is a team that came back from 1-3 deficit twice in the same playoffs back in 2020. And that was when they didnt even have the full starters yet just joker, murray and MPG. If you want to close them out but sure you actually do the job completely because you cannot mentally break them that easy.
Tbh Denever looked like they didn't take the playoffs seriously. Just like when we were kids and mom comes in to wake you up for school, and you say 5 more minutes, and just lay there with your eyes closed. Then she comes again and smacks you on the head and all of the sudden you're awake and ready. That was game 2 for the Nuggets.
Hard to overstate what a shocking turnaround this has been. Not only the Nuggets winning the two games, but essentially turning the tables a complete 180 and dominating in both games after looking so completely outmatched the first 2.
@@jackbroughton1431 I think the Spurs offense looked a lot different, even though they were similar in that everyone was involved. I think the way the offense runs through Jokic is more similar to how everything Houston did revolv around Hakeem, and Hakeem was playing at a DIFFERENT level during those championship runs, just like Jokic is doing now.
@@jackbroughton1431 the reason I don’t necessarily draw that correlation is because those spurs teams generally had multiple hall of famers. Robinson while at the end of the line was still on the first two title runs with Duncan. Of course Ginobli and Parker were on, four of those title teams. And on the final title they had Kawhi Leonard as well.
Now tell me that this is not what the NBA needed! Two superstars going head to head competing for every single inch on the court! two TEAMS going at it, not a bunch of soft "superstars" joining to destroy the competitive balance of the league! Two superstars relying on their teammates and coaches and their amazing will to win in order to get the ultimate prize! This series, dallas and okc, knicks and indiana have made me want to watch again! im so glad that all the toxic players are out and we can finally enjoy basketball again, minus the refs, but hey ill take it! Welcome back competition!
This is the nba championship. Lot of pride in these games. Neither team is my team, it’s weird I like both. Ant, joker is a classic. Great teams, new rivalry, very refreshing.
Jokic is gonna do his thing, Murray needed to step up his game and he did, but I wanna give Aaron Gordon some well deserved praise. Whether it's defense or offense, inside or outside, he played great in the last 2 games.
They found a way to give Murray the space he needed to start the offense instead of getting hounded into traps all the way down the floor. If Murray is cold, the entire team is cold. As a PG, the offense has to begin with him. Glad Denver made the necessary adjustments to this smothering Wolves defense.
Ant is great. Knows Jokic is the best player rn, knows MJ is the best player ever, and knows that he himself will be the best player soon (Which even if Wemby comes and takes that is the damn right mindset to come in with). Those 2 interviews where he gets asked about the MJ comparisons are some of my favs. He is humble enough to say "Yeah im not at that level yet" whilst in one of them saying (when asked if MJ would lock him up) "Hell no". Shows his competitive nature. Totally sounds like something Kobe would've said around 2001 when he started taking over the league and got all the Jordan comparisons.
These past two games just prove that the series isn't over until all the required games are played. Anthony Edwards has a great attitude and I think he's already better than LeBron ever was. Jokic is in the GOAT conversation for his position, and by the time he retires he might have an arguable case for top 5 GOAT, period.
he's already made his way into my top 20....3-4 more years of play like last few years and he will def be in my top 12 (top 10 if he picks up another ring or 2)
Alright I love Ant too but let’s pump the brakes. Saying he’s already better than prime LeBron after having no real accomplishments yet is insane. He may get there in the future though
@@thomashaymen1243LeBron needed superteams, not getting called for traveling, fouls, carrying, etc, and a massive FT differential to get most of his accomplishments and very possibly PEDs. And Ant already has twice the character and the killer instinct LJ always lacked as well as the jumper that LJ still barely has after all this time. What are you even talking about?
Ant is the closest thing we’ve seen to Kobe and MJ since they retired. Jokic is basically a modern-day Wilt Chamberlain with his efficiency and impact. Never thought I’d see the day.
Back in the day even MJ had to overcome the Pistons before he went on to greatness. So if Ant wants to cement his legacy he & the T-Wolves need to overcome the defending champs which is no easy feat as we have now learned.....or in fact never doubt the defending champs like so many had after game 2.
Twolves fan here. Jokic is so f-ing good. He just picks you apart slowly and methodically. Doesn't help when the rest of the team is shooting the lights out. And Murray.......that guy makes some of the craziest shots. He's insanely lucky/good come playoff time. My wolves still have a shot. Best of 3 now so no more excuses.
Mate, this series is gonna be something out of this world. Don't blame yourself of sending Nuggets to Cancun, as I already saw them there too. In fact I couldn't have predicted even one of those four games. Afraid of making any guesses for the game 5. But one thing is for sure - this series will be part of the history.
It was predictable in a way that Denver can win the series. Wolves offense is not great and it can be stopped, Denver just needed to play better. Game 2 they just fell mentally and refs killed them with no calls. This is how they used to play. It was predictable that they will lose first game to Wolves, because of how bad they played against Lakers, everyone predicted that but no one predicted that they could shake it off. Game 2 they just started with too much pressure, their overwhelming desire to perform killed them on the spot, and they got into emotions.
I have to admit after that second game I thought the Nuggets were done , glad to see them rebound , I want a good series . I like both these teams and I think they both will be contenders for a long time to come .
I will be happy when all the fanatic based, big market driven teams are out and we can just watch pure basketball (mostly) without media favorites and biases. Most of these remaining series are GREAT! What a year!
Joker is MVP! not sure what the problem is with the media. Edwards is so refreshing to listen to and so far has restored my hope that the NBA can get back to the Pre-Silver Le-Superteam Era.
CHuck was the only one and the first to recongnize the Nuggets value last year, against all odds. He ven picked them to win. After the first 2 games of this serie, even he bet against the nuggets. This serie is wonderful and I did not enjoy this kind of ballin' for a long time.
Totally agree with you. Both the Ant-man and the Joker are showing what true leaders are: you don't blame anyone else when you lose, you just take the team on your shoulders and hope you'll make them follow along for the ride. That's what the real GOATs did in the past and hopefully will do in the future.
Skap, hats down, my man! Excellent video! I will say one thing: I wasn't too worried for the nuggets after the first 2 games. They couldn't have been worse than that and they could play only better. Teams have bad stretches sometime (I'm talking almost entire series against the Lakers as well) and now that they had their, I believe that they are again top contenders for the title.
Lebroj, Steph, CP3 and KD out in rhe first round. .Now we are having a proper seriens outnWrst in Round 2. Now thats thr Basketball i love. Thw Black Mamba will be proudnofnthis. Black Jesus himself will be proud of this.
I hope Jokic's newest MVP trophy is still in the DHL shipping box, stashed in his barn next to a pile of horse shit. Great video. Minnesota came into the series like Denver's kryptonite. Things can still go either way, stars can get injured, sick, or worse, they can play like shit and complain to the refs. A lot can happen in the next couple of games. I think there's even an advantage to wild inconsistency such as seen in Jamal Murray. Contrast his deadly unpredictability with KA Towns who carries no advantage at all when he's playing like shit. Aaron Gordon was the game 4 MVP. Dude showed up to that game confidently playing roles he's never good at. And he dominated. Leaders rise to the occasion that is laid before them instead of bitching about things not going their way.
I like Ant. He’s cocky but he has the game to back it up unlike Ja. Do people forget how arrogant and cocky Muhammad Ali, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Deion Sanders all were as athletes? Steve Jobs was arrogant and cocky. MJ showed up in the ‘85 ASG with a gold chain around his neck and still wore it when participating in the dunk contest. Larry Bird was the biggest trash talker there ever was. “Which mfer is coming in 2nd?” Kobe was called Showboat by his teammates as he would attempt 360 dunks in a breakaway in his first two years. I like what Ant is saying and doing here. It shows he’s not afraid of these defending champions. He’s fearless. It can motivate him for Game 5. He did show up for this game except the other guys didn’t. And this was after he held accountability for the Game 2 loss. I do think Minnesota will eventually lose this series whether it’s in 6 or 7. Minnesota and OKC are showing their inexperience already after a good start. Denver might be to Ant what Detroit was to MJ. The last obstacle before getting over the hump to win a ring. His team is not ready for it yet. He is but not his teammates similar to MJ from ‘88 to ‘90. Scottie and Horace were still a bit too soft. KAT remains soft. It’s still Denver’s reign as champs for the next 2-3 years. Ant will eventually get a ring but he needs to taste the losing and heartbreaks first. Denver is my favorite team still playing but Ant is my favorite player to watch. Great personality. There’s an alpha dog in him. This series will end in 6. Maybe in 7 if Denver doesn’t show up in Minny for that Game 6. Anthony Edwards is THAT guy. He’s the one. But when comparing him to 80s MJ, was that 80s Jordan winning rings yet? No. If it goes 7, Minny is not winning a Game 7 in Denver. Michael Malone figured it out. In Game 3, don’t let Ant beat them. In Game 4, let Ant score but don’t let anyone else beat them. All Denver needs to do is stop KAT. Gobert can’t score and McDaniels and Reid are still under the age of 25. Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. have a similar career path as Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. Weren’t all-stars for several years. Still made the HoF. Tony Parker: 6x all-star Manu Ginobili: 2x all-star Jamal and MPJ are already “stars” to a lot of people’s eyes. Rodman made two all-star games. Divac made one in 2001 and Kukoc made zero. All three are in the Hall of Fame. Michael Cooper had zero all-star selections like Kukoc and he’s entering the HoF this summer. I wonder how long Jokic will play basketball? It’s not his favorite sport. It’s horse racing. He only plays basketball as a means to an end to use the money to take care of his horses. Yao Ming only played 9 years. Jokic is already a first ballot HoFer. Jokic doesn’t seem like the type who wants to play for 20 years. Say Jokic does play up to 20 seasons, then Denver is simply not going away. His game wasn’t built on athleticism. Less wear and tear on his body similar to Kareem. All these LeBron fans say how this era is more athletic than Jordan’s era or the 80s but then the best player today happens to be a guy who isn’t much of an athlete. We are witnessing the making of a future dynasty with Denver. They’re not done for a while. I like them because they drafted their best players. They don’t rely on mercenary free agents to save them that my Clippers did to copy the Fakers. They just play. No drama. Jokic is humble, funny, quirky, and only cares about taking care of his horses. Jamal Murray is who Dame Lillard wanted to be. Clutch but with rings to prove it with the team that drafted him. Jamal has been so good these last two games, we forgot about his bj video his gf did to him. Lakers ended up doing the same thing to Jamal in Game 2 and 5. 😂 They ended up sicking his duck. Jamal was ticked when that bj video with his gf was referenced in a game. Had a heckler kicked out for it. Gilbert Arena, the xenophobe that he is, watched his Fakers lose to an unathletic Serbian and a Canadian with a blowjob video. I wonder what trash takes he’ll say about foreign born players after Denver wins again next June? Got to have trash takes to grab people’s attention. Nick Wrong has used that method for a decade. I do believe when we get our Boston vs. Denver Finals next month, it’s going to be a lot more competitive than Miami vs. Denver. I see it go at least 6 games since Boston will have homecourt advantage. But I’m putting my money on Jokic and Murray than that law firm of Tatum & Brown. Best big man & wing duo since Shaq and Kobe.
No one can be blamed for writing the Nuggets off, the NBA has been inundated with soft minded fools who consistently fail to rise up to the occasion. The fact that this is now a series, is a sign of good things, that leaves me cautiously optimistic about the game moving forward. Great work Skap. 👊👊
Jokic looks like he's never seen the inside of a weight room. Can't run, can't jump, but is somehow amazing. The man is a testament to don't judge a book by its cover.
Man Antman is cold. He my favorite player in the league right now. The mentality of both of them makes this probably the best playoff series in this season
Jokic made no excuses for the first two losses and kept his poise and demeanor and lead his team to back into the series. Thats why he’s the best player in the world. This is the Jokic era but he has some hungry young guys nipping at his feet in Edwards, Luka or Shai to get through first. They are ready to take over if there is any slippage by Denver! Kudos to Aaron Gordon on a phenomenal Game 3 and esp 4. He’s been outstanding. I think that long layoff between Games 2 and 3, really helped the Nuggets regroup and now we have a series! Hopefully Minnesota can keep their heads and come out strong in the next two games, so we can have an epic Game 7!
Another amazing video skap, I always look forward to all your content cause u always speaking facts even though I don't like some of players u hate on, just cause I like them, it's all good. You still speaking facts so I gotta respect that and you.
I have to stand corrected. After game 2 I thought this was gonna be a sweep by MN. Now we have a series. Kudos to Ant Edwards for not deflecting blame like the self-proclaimed GOAT does.
So essentially in game 1 and 2, The referees allowed the wolves and nuggets to be physical which each other. Normal fouls weren’t called as often and this play style favored the wolves. Then the nba realized such a potentially high revenue series would be a sweep, they had to change something. They started calling ticky-tac fouls on the wolves and nuggets which was still technically “fair”, but this style of reffing favored the nuggets slow and methodical style and got the wolves in foul trouble. Now for the rest of the series, the wolves have to play not physically so I would assume nuggets in 6 or 7.
Breath of fresh air to have 2 elite players who show up day in day out, take accountability and don’t blame their supporting cast or coaches or talk about free agency when facing adversity.nuggets in 6

I don't think much emphasis is being placed on having 3 days off between Games 2 and 3. That gave Michael Malone more than enough time to completely scrap the game plan and switch it up, namely not having Joker bring the ball up. @@skap_attack thank you brother for replying all the comments and listening to your audience . Love your work
By Jokic's standards it was less than what his team needed and he had a lot of turnovers games 1-2. No excuses there, but he made the adjustments needed -- taking better care of the ball, took Gobert on head-to-head so he couldn't just roam and play help defense, took Naz head on, etc.

To be fair, the nuggets haven’t looked right all postseason. They had their 2 best shooting performances of the playoffs in these last 2 games
@@mja4wpthey are not as ready as they were last year at this stage
I completely wrot them off. I believe in Jokic and Malone, but man, the bench is a dumbster heap and Murray did NOT look like he was gonna get it together. Nothing shocking about Jokic doing Jokic things but seeing the bench contribute and Murray suddenly look like last year's Murray and healthy all of a sudden was pretty unexpected for me.
2 bad games and they already forgot that Jokic is the reigning MVP, WCMVP and FMVP in current NBA champion team.
The winner of this series - between Joker and Edwards, should be Western Conference MVP if their team goes to the Finals.
DEFINITELY.

Respect to you Skap for being real about it and being able to still givr is an honest thorough breakdown. Such a relief from those Klutch Sports Media outlets
Fun fact:
Ant played 45 minutes in this game. During that time Minnesota outscored Denver by 5 points. During the 3 minutes he was off the floor, they were outscored by 13 points.
This might be an actual case of 'He needs some help'
Or Denver defense shut out KAT. Jokic screens have been punishing Murray's defenders too.

I have never doubted Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. Check my comments on previous videos about this series and you will see
I know you haven't! While I never wavered in my trust and belief of Jokic, I definitely thought the Nuggets were dead in the water in this series.
Same with you. Although I'm surprised that the Nuggets are being destroyed in the first 2 games, I'm not worried for them at all. Although this turns out to be a tough series, I got Nuggets in 6.
@@taichivillaruel9114 same
-- Me? I was worried but I didn't count them out either. They came back TWICE down 3-1 in 2020.
So with 3 days of rest for Jamal and minor adjustments on the offense, Denver killed Games 3 and 4.
I believe whoever wins this series will go on to become champions. This might as well be NBA finals imo
Denver is just a modern day incarnation of the Houston Rockets from the mid 90's. Very difficult to beat.
I agree. I see A LOT of similarities there.
Dont tell Kenny Smith his ego might explode lol
What about the Duncan era Spurs? I’ve seen comparisons drawn between them as well.
Robinson while
at the end of the line was still on the first two title runs with Duncan. Of course Ginobli and Parker were on, four of those title teams. And on the final title they had Kawhi Leonard as well.
I guess that's why you don't underestimate the heart of a champion
"I guess"
The last 25 seconds before the half of game 4 was crazy. Murray was outstanding.
I like how you accepted that you dismissed the Nuggets, honest guy. I also love ANT taking blame for his teammates. And I’m a Nuggets fan
Nuggets will be at home. They take Game 5 handily. Yesterday Jokic was absolutely unstoppable. No stopping Jamal Murray either.
Jokic is gonna do his thing, Murray needed to step up his game and he did, but I wanna give Aaron Gordon some well deserved praise. Whether it's defense or offense, inside or outside, he played great in the last 2 games.
Antman "It's on me, I gotta do better"
LeFraud "refs, coaches, my health, need more help, team injuries, just basketball, I did my part..."
Name one time Lebron has ever blamed his teammates
I'm a simple man, when I see a clip about Jokic and Denver, I first click like and then watch.
Defense. Accountability. Effort. Selflessness. Competition. Respect. Determination. Heart. It's like we have time traveled.
We done with the 2010s.
Zone is allowed in the 2010s but not the 80s or 90s.
Jokic legendary 🗿🔥
Well, there is NO DOUBT about that.
-- Might be preaching to the choir, but Joker should have had 4 MVPs in a row.
Can I just say how much I love the way Skap says the word "A$$" 😂😂😂
These past two games just prove that the series isn't over until all the required games are played.
Anthony Edwards has a great attitude and I think he's already better than LeBron ever was.
Jokic is in the GOAT conversation for his position, and by the time he retires he might have an arguable case for top 5 GOAT, period.
If Nuggets win the finals this year Jokic is clear cut top 10 all time imo. If he wins 3, then we’re probably talking about top 5 all time.
he's already made his way into my top 20....3-4 more years of play like last few years and he will def be in my top 12 (top 10 if he picks up another ring or 2)
Alright I love Ant too but let’s pump the brakes.
@@thomashaymen1243 I'm referring to maturity and poise.
Ant is the closest thing we’ve seen to Kobe and MJ since they retired. Jokic is basically a modern-day Wilt Chamberlain with his efficiency and impact. Never thought I’d see the day.
I heard a saying once “never count out a team that has the best player on the planet on it”
I knew you'd be coming with this one. Jokic has indeed proven that he earned his MVP with this comeback.
Jokic is a complete center that you want on your team
Center piece of the team in every way
Mate, this series is gonna be something out of this world.
Edwards is so refreshing to listen to and so far has restored my hope that the NBA can get back to the Pre-Silver Le-Superteam Era.
hope the soft superteam era does not resurrect. those who teamed up are just fame stealing parasite
Jokic is a coach's dream player. He makes the half court offensive sets like running through a bumper pool table.

As a Knicks fan, this Is the most interesting series thus far
This series is amazing. It's like our own generation's Bird's Celtics vs young Jordan's Bulls, except the teams are more evenly balanced.
HEART OF A CHAMPION: DENVER NUGGETS
This for sure the hypest series of the playoffs
Skap, hats down, my man! Excellent video! I will say one thing: I wasn't too worried for the nuggets after the first 2 games. They couldn't have been worse than that and they could play only better. Teams have bad stretches sometime (I'm talking almost entire series against the Lakers as well) and now that they had their, I believe that they are again top contenders for the title.
Jokic has the best floater game of any big man I've seen play.
Reminds me of tony Parker.
Only Tony Parker was like 6'1 and Jokic is 6'11 lol.

This is the type of basketball fans deserve.
Tony Parker: 6x all-star
Manu Ginobili: 2x all-star
Jamal and MPJ are already “stars” to a lot of people’s eyes.

Jokic looks like he's never seen the inside of a weight room. Can't run, can't jump, but is somehow amazing. The man is a testament to don't judge a book by its cover.
Jokic' works out after every game before going home.
Im just so happy LeFlop is out of the playoffs. Jokic and Ant are so refreshing to watch

My ABSOLUTE pleasure! Many thanks to you for your continued support! As always, I appreciate you 🙏❤
Jokic made no excuses for the first two losses and kept his poise and demeanor and lead his team to back into the series.
Finally the NBA can be watch again no drama no crying for everything alphas going at it

This is a beautiful series. The league MVP is balling and the up and coming new face of the league is reminding us of MJ.
I have to stand corrected. After game 2 I thought this was gonna be a sweep by MN. Now we have a series.
Kudos to Ant Edwards for not deflecting blame like the self-proclaimed GOAT does.
The T-Wolves are still in control!!!
This has been a great series so far, and also the OKC-Dallas series is another hard fight. 2 great series, great defense and intensity, finally.
This series is great for basketball
Breath of fresh air to have 2 elite players who show up day in day out, take accountability and don’t blame their supporting cast or coaches or talk about free agency when facing adversity.nuggets in 6

Im sure MJ is watching young Anthony and telling himself "this kid is special, he has got that IT".
Jokic is more dominant than Shaq in his prime
I mean there is no doubt he is MORE impactful when it comes to winning, which is what they play the game for.
Guess why he said he is not the MVP? For that reason my guess
TBF, Shaq had more competition than Jokic. Centers nowadays are soft (aside from Jokic of course).
@@detectivemarkseven Shaq had 1 job and he was a monster at it...Joker can do what Shaq did when need be...plus a whole lot more....Joker is more valuable by far
@@detectivemarkseven There are very good and strong C in the league, AD, Gobert, Adebayo, Adams, Valančiūnas, Sabonis, Wembanyama, Embiid, Giannis, Shaq, they are not soft, Jokic is just better. You can put Shaq in there it wouldn't make a difference.
I don't think much emphasis is being placed on having 3 days off between Games 2 and 3. That gave Michael Malone more than enough time to completely scrap the game plan and switch it up, namely not having Joker bring the ball up. I love great coaching, watching an ATG pick himself up off the mat and the rise of an up-and-coming megastar take responsibility for his shortcomings.
This is what basketball should be and I'm here for all of it.
