I think both these teams deserve their flowers. Denver coming back from a 0-2 then winning 3 straight games reminding people why they're the champs. And Minnesota finishing big winning a game 7 on the road coming back from a 20-point deficit demonstrating why they're the best defense. I mean, this was an amazing, exciting, hard fought series. I fully enjoyed it. And I love that no champ has been able to even get past round 2 in the following playoffs; it shows how much more competitive the league is getting to the point that "dynasties" don't even form anymore. Every year we have a different beast.

The stress and toll of an 82-game schedule along with going all the way in the playoffs, 3 seasons in a row. Especially when players are apt to experience burnout, increased risk of injury and off-season drama from personnel changes. And the Bulls did it twice within 8 years, with 30+ teams in the league, just to pre-empt anyone that chimes in about the 8-team Celtics Dynasty. It was tough to lose Bruce Brown. He was aggressive on offense, and you never knew when he would dart inside for a layup, a bit like Edwards. That really helps keep the defense off balance.

I think both these teams deserve their flowers. Denver coming back from a 0-2 then winning 3 straight games reminding people why they're the champs. And Minnesota finishing big winning a game 7 on the road coming back from a 20-point deficit demonstrating why they're the best defense. I mean, this was an amazing, exciting, hard fought series. I fully enjoyed it. And I love that no champ has been able to even get past round 2 in the following playoffs; it shows how much more competitive the league is getting to the point that "dynasties" don't even form anymore. Every year we have a different beast.
