Just love it, that's my kind of fly fishing, discovering blue line like these. Best period of the year for this with just the awakening of the vegetation so you can access creek everywhere. Thank's Bud.
Dude so true. I was doing an overnight fishing trip for my video a day ago, and it was like 25 degrees in the morning... but the call of the fish is hard to resist!
Sheesh!! that was a sick video! My name is Pete and I am just a kid who loves fly fishing the small streams of the Great Smoky Mountains. I love your channel Scottie and I hope to fish with you someday!! peace out - Pete Rogers
Love this one, so glad you decided to post it! Just went scouting some new spots myself yesterday down here in SC and had one of those days where nothing’s really working so I appreciate seeing I’m not alone! Also appreciate you including the slip and fall in the beginning, guess I’m not alone there either! 😂 Keep up the great work!
I’m from Banner Elk and my favorite spot in that are is the Elk River just above the Elk River Falls. It’s beautiful country and I’ve caught some big rainbows
So cool to see you and buddy doing what we all do. Me and my brother were on the hunt yesterday with similar results. Sometimes you gotta search a bad spot to find the good spots. keep it up man.
What you’re showing is reality! Glad you put this out. Not all days are great and scouting an unfamiliar stream is part of the fun. Most streams I hit are unfamiliar and out of state. Makes it challenging. Keep ‘em coming. Beats sitting in an office.
Hell I’m still exploring streams here in north Georgia and this is a normal day for me .missed five and got 0ne wild trout today. Best I have had without a guide 0n private waters . You can keep this deal up. Feels like normal fishing.
Nice video. If someone asked you to live on Mars, you'd say no, right? Don't worry. There are a lot of people like you in the world. Me too. Let's keep going like this. From a Japanese tenkara guy.
FINALLY! After a long week Wild Fly is here to save the day and also make me jealous. I often say i'm gonna pack my fly fishing stuff and drive my van to NC.
hey man glad to see you back, you should try going out on rainy days like that with a 7 or 8 wieght and some good size streamers, if you go to a big enough stream, you can catch some real monsters, the rain can be uncomfortable, but if you have the right gear its like nothing, just a suggestion, anyway great video, can't wait to get some of that new merchandise
Yeah man, idk why but when it rains the big boys come out to play, and they will destroy a good baitfish pattern especially the browns, good luck! hope you can get it on video 👍
dude at 13:50 looks an awful like a salmon parr. Look up the pics. Im pretty sure that is somehow you have atlantic salmon spawing in these rivers? I live in Canada and am quite familiar of what they look like as I catch them regularily in my river one that is still productive.
I’m a midwest transplant to North Carolina so my experience may differ from yours. In SW Wisconsin, when the water is tainted like that, usually had some pretty decent fishing. Actually some of our biggest days were in conditions just like that. If you’re ever in the state and want to experience absolutely incredible spring creek browns, look at staying at the Avalanche campground and jump off from there. It can be spectacular.
@WildFlyProductions, I Iove your videos man! I always find myself watching your videos and enjoying every second of them! However, I was wondering what song you played at around the 13-minute mark?
Dude, I was so happy to see a new video from you all. I love your work. I from east Tennessee and love seeing you all fish around my parts. Keep it up and much love guys.
hi Austin here i love your content but if you dont mind me asking i started a channel and i like the drone views you do and would like to do that with mine so my question is what kind of drone is it and do you have any suggestions for beginners
Great video, reminds me of old Jon B. videos except even better! Keep it up and please don't change video styles like Jon when you begin getting 100s of thousands of subs!
Great to see your back. Nice video. Our region of fishing is gorgeous. Very colorful trout. Looking forward to more and some bus trips. By the way nice tail behind your head. 👍👍👍.
I think these videos are important. Get more people excited about their home waters. It might even be cool to show the whole “blue lining” process where you show yourself finding an unknown creek, going out to it, and then fishing it. I’m gonna sign up for your Patreon. I love your content! Gets me stoked to get out.
@@WildFlyProductions ok cool. Also that’s what I do in Montana and I’m pretty sure it’s a little different in the south. I also was just saying what works for me, and I’m pretty sure you know what to do I was just saying that if you understand
Hey maybe you can talk about this in an upcoming video. This weekend I went fishing for 7 hours with the fishpond gunnison guid bag; a waist bag that has a shoulder strap. The next day my shoulder and chest were sore from where the strap was? I see you were wearing a similar bag. Do you still get this soreness with the frequency that you fish? Q2: I noticed you use a similar bag and I don’t see a tether on the handle, do you use one? Also does your bag spin to the front very well when you bring it to the front? Mine takes a little effort and then when I get it to the front I’m greeted by a net in my face. Can you talk about the different bags you have worn, challenges, and how you maintained your net in each one?

pretty sure you guys caught a salmon parr lol. 13:50 mark very rare in the states. Had to look it up to see how it was even possible. Very cool.
Your content illustrates the journey of fishing perfectly, it's not all about catching fish! I enjoyed this style of video a lot
Glad you got this video out. Not all trips are fish fish fish. Exploring and learning a new area is always rewarding. Thanks
That's the truth!
Just love it, that's my kind of fly fishing, discovering blue line like these. Best period of the year for this with just the awakening of the vegetation so you can access creek everywhere. Thank's Bud.
It’s hard to beat!
Welcome back man. Was just in the Appalachian mountains going for trout.
Same here! I’m blessed to only live a couple hours away
Awesome to see you again! Best fishing youtuber by far...
Appreciate the video and sharing the honesty of backcountry trout fishing.
You are right, it is always easier getting up when you’re going fishing!👍
Dude so true. I was doing an overnight fishing trip for my video a day ago, and it was like 25 degrees in the morning... but the call of the fish is hard to resist!
Great video there, produced some beautiful fish. Streams looked great even though some stained and a little muddy. Worth the time exploring!
Love the videos man, they have a chill and layed back vibe that’s hard to find nowadays on UA-cam. Keep killin it!
I really enjoyed it! I’m glad you put this video out, thanks for sharing!

Beautiful water, well filmed, entertaining...better than most content even with the slower action. Keep em coming!
thanks for getting this video out tonight man. I needed something to watch while I did some work.
Another great one. Actually recognized some of the pools. Love your content!
man the quality of these videos is unreal. keep it up! Tight Lines
Great video, it makes me want to go fishing. I love the southern Appalachians.
Making my way through all your content and loving every minute.
Great video! Always impressed by the production quality.
Watching master. The video is great. Keep safe always🎣⛵
Great video. Keep them coming. You have a great talent and great production. Thanks for the discount code. Ordered a shirt and some stickers.
I like the exploration video as most places I’m going are new and I need to learn the water.
That’s awesome! Love small streams!
Great video.this was my first time checking u guys out keep.doing what you r doing
I love and respect that you never use the name of the stream you are fishing. Thank you
looks like the ride to Mortimer. Great video.
You guys need to head out west this summer and come out to Redding, CA. Hundreds of miles of incredible fishing
Just bought some merchandise. Thanks for the video. Truly enjoyed seeing it
Thanks so much for the support dude!

I love that you included the slip you had 😂 It do be like that sometimes, glad you (and your gear) were ok. Keep up the great work!
Love your video style! I'm working on some of those techniques that you boys have perfected. Love to see it!

Looked like some fun 😎.
Good vid filming as usual; interesting content. Thumbs up from me.
My only reccomendation: if you're going to wear a stache, make sure you have chin hair with it. lol
Love the vids man keep em coming
Excellent video!
Fished there dozens of times 12:08....been awhile for me there too
FINALLY! After a long week Wild Fly is here to save the day and also make me jealous. I often say i'm gonna pack my fly fishing stuff and drive my van to NC.
Do it, dude! There’s nothing like fishing around here.
Love the videos @WildFlyProductions! What pack were you wearing in this one?
Thanks dude! The pack is the Simms Dry Creek Z Backpack.
Great video man! So glad spring is here... it’s so rough when the weather finally gets nice but then all the streams are blown out!
Thanks for another video! Keep up the great work! You inspire me to be better with my channel. Tightlines!
Do y’all have any deals on apparel at this time? Plus where do y’all get your hopper flies?
Scouting is half the fun! Great to see you guys back at it👍

Totally Dude! I need to do that more, especially with all these rainstorms we’ve been getting.
Yeah man, idk why but when it rains the big boys come out to play, and they will destroy a good baitfish pattern especially the browns, good luck! hope you can get it on video 👍
Great vid. What size rod are you typically using for these streams? I am moving from colorado and only have a 9'5wt and a 6.6 3wt
Hey man, great video. What rod and weight are you using?
Great video! Great to see you again! Question: what app do you like to search for blue lines?
dude at 13:50 looks an awful like a salmon parr. Look up the pics. Im pretty sure that is somehow you have atlantic salmon spawing in these rivers? I live in Canada and am quite familiar of what they look like as I catch them regularily in my river one that is still productive.
That was a big ass Brown for that small of water. I would have been stoked too. Cheers Scottie. Great production as usual.
Nice video. 👍👍👍👍👍
Is he using a euro rod w regular floating line? Ive been curious about doing this for a while
@WildFlyProductions what do y'all use for rod weight/length in these small stream spots? Thanks!
Any chance you will be adding a 3xl shirt to the site in the future?

What type of wader soles were you using on this trip? Walking and rocky streams can be challenging.
Felt soles
Curious, are you out hittin wild streams or DH this time of year ? From Charlotte and new to flu fishin, love going to WNC this time of year !
Wild streams are usually the go to, but DH can be hot this time of year.
What size chubby and nymph for these small streams?

What area and and stream were you at?
Adirondack Mountains for me I love to fly fish & I love to tie flies #Subscribed

Great video. What flies did you use, size? Greetings from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Always love to see a new upload from y’all, only channel out there I’ve bought merch from... Absolutely no regrets, love the content bro keep it up 👍
Were some of those little brooke trout
Big fan of your work, you ever fish in Virginia?
great video man, love watching Appalachian mountain vids. keep em coming!
Talk a little more about tackle , like Flys, strike indicators need more info but really like to watch . I fish SC mountains head that way .
Love this video. Exploring new places is always exciting! Especially when you find that hog Johnson. Good brown you pulled out of that creek
Great video, reminds me of old Jon B. videos except even better! Keep it up and please don't change video styles like Jon when you begin getting 100s of thousands of subs!

Great video! When will the daybreak hat be back in stock? 🤙
We ran into a shortage with our supplier and there was a big delay with getting the hats back in. Hoping to get them in in early May.
Awesome guys Awesome 👍🗽🇺🇲🛶 The Vermonter
lets goooo!!!
Always enjoy the upload! Thanks!
When I can’t get hits, I will always go to a tiny streamer. The creek may look like a dry fly creek but a streamer might be the juice
We actually threw a streamer for a bit and got a few chases. Would like to go back and spend some more time dialing in the streamer game there.

Welcome back. Like always, quality content.
Where are you fishing
It's been a while since I've fished the Eastern part of the country...
Great Video guys as always keep em coming
Always a joy when you upload, branded bills just did me dirty so I’ll def be buying a hoodie from y’all
Are you still affiliated with Due South????
Love the video bro! It’s definitely “the juice!” 😂
Another sweet video! Nice shot of that "chubby sipper!"
so sick scottie
What state
Beautiful video & beautiful fish! NC has the best locations for fly fishing. Can’t wait for the next video! ☀️🎣😃
very relaxing fishing a small stream like that, you need to get to Tennessee and fish on the Tellico River and the Citico Creek area.
