HOKKAIDO JAPAN: Vlog #2 [Noboribetsu] ♨️❄️✨

Japan Vlog I went to Noboribetsu in Hokkaido - the Northern most prefecture of Japan. I try visit every year in winter for their snow festival and just the beautiful winter vibe. Noboribetsu is a wonderful onsen town with the famous Hell Valley - a volcanic valley. Not a lot of people know that another attraction is just by the station: the Noboribetsu Nixe Marine Park. Which is basically an aquarium with shows as well as food. They arrange a lot of shows and events to educate children about marine life. The most popular is the penguin show and the sting ray touch pond. Be sure to clean your hands before dipping them in the pools! Keep the animals safe please. Baby sharks are there too as well as horseshoe crabs. The aquarium would take up a good 2-3 hours, great for both families, couples and friends to visit. I know there are bigger and more wonderful places than this, but why compare as opposed to enjoy and appreciate what they have as their own style?
Onsen hotel I stayed at is called Daichi. Not famous for their room or their onsen, but their entertain is absolutely tops. With a winter festival indoors, huge souvenir shops and even taiko performances - this hotel will never let you feel bored. You know... onsen hotels are literally in the middle of no where so it's quite important and very lovely of them to provide such facilities! The streets outside do have some souvenir shops and combini like 7-11. One particular ice cream shop is a must-go, it's on the same little street, please support them and get some ice cream (black sesame highly recommended!) There IS like one ramen shop in the area, but i suppose if you want ramen, you can save it for Asahikawa, which I will take you to in the next video.
