Hey Lisa. After having such a good time going to your hidden Kyoto spots this weekend I thought it was fate that you posted this while I was in Osaka. Went to Akashi this morning and it was absolutely serene. Thanks for the recommendation and the impeccable timing!
Hi Matthew! Man it is def fate!!! So glad you enjoyed both hidden places!! You’re very welcome! Man I miss that place!! The place shud be even more lush now right?? Enjoy the rest of your trip!!
We came to Osaka the same day this video was uploaded. Today we went to them shrine and the café and had an amazing day. Thank you so much for this fantastic video!
Hi!!! Ah you got to go there!! I'm so glad you enjoyed the places!!! You're very welcome! Which other city are you going to visit? thanks for the lovely comment
Hi Jordan, thank you for your kind words! I'm thrilled to know that i made a difference!!!! what was your fav place / most memorable moment of your first trip?? Yeah i really love japan too, so much to offer!!
@HarpistinJapan Kyoto: All day every day - what a city! I wanna live there one day. Most memorable? Split between three: Osaka Castle (nearly brought me to tears), getting to watch the "Slam Dunk" film in Shinjuku, and just the all-around courtesy & civilization of the Japanese people. I could go on and on. I really hope to be back soon enough. Amazing country.
Here's an Osaka train tip for those taking the train: If you need to transfer between Osaka and Shin-Osaka (or the other way around), take any train on tracks 7 and 8. All trains on those tracks stop at the counterpart station. Only took me till the third day before I learned that one on my last trip.
Thank you for this. The shrine was amazing. I was there about 9 hours ago. I like areas that aren’t normal tourist attractions because it forces me to try to use Japanese more. I ran into an elderly Japanese lady. We barely understood each other but I won’t ever forget our exchange
The perfect timing on this video, we just traveled to Osaka from Tokyo recently and we are litterally walking distance from some of the places. Thank you Lisa! On the behalf on some Swedes!
@@HarpistinJapan Absolutely, it was so nice! The sun was shining with great Weather. On the ocean bank down the shrine a man fished for Squid and Octupus! Then he showed us how to Fillet a squid. Such a random sweet encounter. Highly recommend the shrine.
Really beautiful place! I like the lack of crowds, how calm it is. The beach view. The restaurant with the aquarium was super cool! Its really out of the way but definitely worth experiencing if youre already there. Glad to see that they are considerate of the fish and it looked super clean
Hi there!! yeah it really gave me that chance to catch my breath, just really needed that quiet and peace to unwind. Yah the fishies looked quite healthy!
Hi Dave!!! Awee i'm really glad to hear! thanks for the encouragement and kin words!!!! I hope to do the same for your future trips! What was a particular fond memory of the trip?
Hey lisa, im very fond of Myajima island just over from also very impressive Hiroshima. 😊 It just felt so sereen and lovely. Probably really helped that it was a lovely sunny day too.
A very nice place indeed. Not into temples that much, but if there were no crowds and even on a cold day a stroll along the beach would be a delight. Thanks for the informative fun content. Every time I hear that squeak it sounds like you sat on a whoppee cushion :-)
Hi Kevin! Yeahhh i think its a great place with everything together! Thank you for the encouragement and kind words!! ah that lil squeak it's meant to be a rubber ducky speak hahaha but japanese version.
'akashiyaki' is interesting, first time I heard. i love to try it when I return to Osaka area but sometimes it is intimidating for (in my experience) foreigner to visit shops without english menu. But will try first other shops with english menu. Thank you.
Yeah totally understand! The first go is quite daunting. Maybe try so for like a second or third trip. But I always find the local places just taste a lot more hmmmm special? Yeahhh but most of the stuff in Japan taste amazing so it’s all good. You’re welcome!!
We just back from a short trip in Japan (Tokyo - Kyoto - Osaka) on last Saturday. Spent the last 2 nights at Osaka which we don't really like due to the very large crowd everywhere. 😓 Wish that this video was released earlier so that our stay in Osaka will be more interesting. But thanks for recommendation, now we know where to visit if we go Japan (Osaka) again. 😄 Hope by there it will still be a quiet place.
We are going to Osaka in September. We are from Queensland. I am going to do an open water swim down in Sennan. But we will definitely visit these places in this video. Thank you
My gosh if she ever cosplayed as Hinaki Ubuyashiki from Demon Slayer while waking through Sumiyoshi Shrine surrounded by Wisteria, it would be otherworldly! Bookmarking this video because I'll be visiting this shrine.
Hi there!! Haha you’re right it’s like perfect for cosplay and yeahhh I like demon slayer too! I got the Hinaki hair hahaha kinda. Hope u get to visit during wisteria season!!!!! Thanks for stopping by!
We were in Osaka 2 weeks ago. There was like 5 people at Osaka castle. Aside from the main tourist lane near the river, it was very quiet. As beautiful and interesting Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo are, Kofu in Yamanashi is a hidden gem. Sydney still rocks all cities tho. Just sayin 😃
ah so it’s quiet now down there! Sounds like you had a great trip! I haven’t been Kofu! Will check it out then :))))) Aweee thanks, I appreciate Sydney :)))
HI there! Hahaha yes that's always the case, I keep on adding thing to my itin even very last min before I fly out! Longer trip is always the best........ thanks for the support :D i'll keep more comin, still got a couple of vids on osaka area haha
Sorry I don't do videos interviewing Japanese locals, my channel is travel-vlog focused. I believe I've covered a lot of things on my channel - many different places, activities, their history, food, and also important information and updates that help people plan their trip. I love sharing my travel vlogs, although it is a lot of work editing, and extremely time consuming as well as tiring - it still makes me feel really happy that I've been able to give people ideas. Feel free to share your own videos of caring about 'the actual people' and things/places that Japan "offers way more than shrines'. I'm sure lots of viewers would be interested, I know I am! Cheers.

Okay first, your outfit is on point! 2:30 could have a wedding at that spot. 5:00 would be a nice view for morning coffee. Males need an aquarium too!
I just returned home from a month in Japan and I miss being there already, especially the food.
There's always next year's trip, and it'll be here soon ;)

Hi
Is this near the biggest suspension bridge?
is there a mens bathroom for the aquarium
I'm imagining trying to convince my significant other to visit a toilet after we fly all the way to Japan.
What is the name of the shopping street where Takoiso is located?
I’ve completely forgotten by now but I’ve put the google map link in the description below you can check :)
Can you do a video on pocket Wi-Fi router?
Heloooo! I’ll keep that in mind :)
Care more about the actual people than a shrine. Japan offers way more than shrines.
