Good idea because I have a lot of cut worms. Especially the cucumber and green bean plant. Thanks for sharing 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋

Those cutworms can be a real pain in the butt. Hope they leave you alone this year.

I tried cow pie pots thinking they would biodegrade but they didn't seem to do that on my seedlings. So I ended up digging them up and removing them so the plants could grow better. Seemed to stunt their growth. This is a much better idea and free too...

Thanks!! I've never tried cow pie pots. Thanks for sharing how they did for you. Good to know.

So caterpillars don't just climb over that little cardboard lip? I've never had a problem with 'cutworms' that I know of.
I did find a fat bright green caterpillar curled up like a letter C, just under the surface of the soil when I dug up my garden last week. It didn't look friendly so I removed it.

One type of cutworm climbs, but they normally eat buds, leaves, and fruit. The ones that I have trouble with stay at ground level and they cut the plant down at ground level by eating through the stem.
