What a brilliant idea Gary. Very imaginative use of this diameter branch. I love the white section on the body of the bottle, it looks like part of a label that has worn a little. The finish enhances the bottle shape to perfection. Keep the projects rolling along. Don
Many thanks Don! I did like the dark area but it was very fuzzy. I think that is called Phloem (flo em) to soft to finish and once turned away the white looks much better. Gary
Hai gary...Your work is ingenious and creative, it has inspired me just like the things my father taught me when I was young. I'm honored to have learnt from you and I hope I get to become as talented.
I love the idea of the emerging bottle and you did a great job of it , too bad we can't celebrate with a little nip from it ! well done Gary.....Thanks! Cheers Al
Fun project, Gary! And did not know you made it up here to my corner of the state (Port Angeles area). Would have enjoyed meeting you and your wife, and would have happily sent more wood home with you to play with. Well, maybe next time!
A very nice project is this Gary. Many of us will have this size of wood lying around and do not know what to do with it. Then this is a great fun project to do yourself. Thanks for sharing. Cheers. Frank
Thank you Frank and for sure it is fun project and one of the most common pieces of wood we come across. I just trimmed out Leland Cypress yesterday and have a pile of limbs like this. Plus the Siberian Elm we had trimmed a year ago. Have fun making a bottle Frank and thanks for watching. Cheers, Gary
Yes that would be a nice natural label. I have real labels for when I made home brew and wine. I should have put one of those on. But the natural label is much nicer!
Thank you Beatrice, you never know what you might find in side of a branch. I also did a emerging bowl from a branch you might like. Made from Mimosa and much harder to do than this. ua-cam.com/video/5CuaAZ9PenM/v-deo.html&ab_channel=ThePapa1947

Thanks Phil I agree with you about this type of spindle turning. Also my type as well. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. It will be great for sure. I picked out a piece of wood you gave me this morning but there was a list of things to do before the rain starts. One was trimming 2 big branches off one of our Leland Cypress trees. Hi Gary... great fun idea.... its nice to just have a bit of fun with your turning now and again.... looks fantastic... you should pop a cork in the top ... great video... take care...All the best.....Andy
Amazing work, Gary,👍👍👍 looks like a bottle of beer, Budweiser?😅😅. The bark of locust is very loose and easy to fall off, I had turned a vase of live edge locust, and I glued bark,😅😅
Thank you Gao...it was going to be a wine bottle but I made it smaller to get to the good wood. I prefer Pacifico though. Thanks for watching my friend, Gary

Thank you so much Khan. I never know what to label the video but this one seemed to work. Also how do you like the thumb nail image? I think that makes you wonder as well. Take care my friend, Gary
