calling people who scalp a product targeted at kids "investors" is genuinely funny lmao. not even being a dick. it's just really funny to me thinking of a comic panel where a little kid with a Pokemon hat, a binder and his mom walk up to a shop at one of the conventions and sees an evolutions booster pack and says "Mommy! can I buy it?" and she reads the price, around 25, and goes "no, 25 is too expensive honey." and the kid gets mad and says "25?? you could get 5 booster packs for that price!" and the mom goes "I know bud, but this man is an investor, he has to make a profit."

Brilliant overview of the Pokémon product line! This is actually sooooo confusing and you’ve done an incredible job of making it seem so simple. So well done 💪
This was super helpful and thorough. I'm returning back to collecting after dropping off around the time Primal Clash came out... I have a lot to catch up on. I'm a master set type of collector, so I purposely collect ALL variants for a set, including tin exclusives, stamped cards, league place cards, etc. and I'll even grab any misprints/errata if they happen to exist. I see a lot of confusion over what is considered a set vs a master set, and I've even seen the term "grandmaster set" thrown around which is probably closer to what I try to achieve, but not sure if it's really a term that holds any weight. Would love if you did a video that covered the differences!
I recently got back into Pokémon since late July to early August of this year and I’ve never knew how much I missed on Pokémon but damn I missed everything a lot since the last time I collected Pokémon cards back in late of 2018. If you’re focusing on one set, booster boxes, booster bundles, and ETBs are the way to go. I think the different packs in collection boxes allows the Pokémon company more flexibility when it comes to pack distribution.
