Ronnie is such a good dude, not just an amazing player. He and I played HU Limit at Foxwoods once to start a game. I ran like God and practically didn’t lose a hand for around 2 hours, and he was so incredibly fun and cool about it.

I rivered a royal at my home game yesterday. I think it was the first time anyone at the table had seen that happen live. Crazy thing was next hand I turned quad aces and managed to get paid on both hands too 💰

Congratulations on your Royal Flush!! The closest I ever came to that, was a straight flush in spades. In my case, I had flopped a flush with the Queen and the Ten on board. Then the Jack came on the turn to complete the flush. I was playing 6/12 Limit Hold 'Em at Hollywood Park when this happened. I had one opponent, and he bet, and I raised. He three-bet, and I thought I was capping it at four bets, but then the dealer reminded me that the raising could continue heads-up. My opponent made it five bets, and I promptly made it six. Only then did he only call. But he said "You'd better have a straight flush." I already figured he had the Ace of Spades. After an off-suit King came on the river, I slammed my cards face-up, saying "I got the DOG-HAND straight flush!!" (KS-9S was what I had)

I've made 5 royals, all on line and two this year. The last was with the 6 card royal also. I saw someone river a 6 card royal once, kind of rubbed it in as the opponent got it all in on the flop with quad aces and was dead on the turn... gotta love it.
I've seen this one a dozen times. It still amazes me when it comes on the river.

I still remember the first Royal I made on a table. Was playing a house table (not a live one) with a progressive pot, where you get a payout based on your hand after the flop. Holding suited J-10. A-4-K on the flop. Q on the turn. Progressive was at $161K. Missed it by that much...

I had AQ clubs and saw a flop of K clubs, T clubs and 5 hearts. Turn A diamonds and river J clubs.

It’s crazy how just knowing a royal flush is coming in the video makes you notice all the suited Broadway starting hands way more and sit up and pay attention.
I've also hit a 6 card royal flush before, flopping a straight flush. I had K9 of clubs, flop came QJ10 of clubs, another Q on the turn, and then the A of clubs on the river. Very similar fashion!

I played Texas Hold em for a few years when I hit my first Royal Flush.
The next week I hit another Royal Flush (same home game) with four paint on the board and me holding the Ace of hearts. My opponent held the nine of hearts for the best bad beat you could ever experience! Yes, I got all his chips.
We were all trippin' on that one!

The only guy I ever saw really get paid off with a royal was going against quad aces in that one WSOP hand with Ray Romano at the table.
