Long time subscriber here...I absolutely love how you have been highlighting even more hands that you thought you were way good; describing the thought process along the way, only to see that the opponent was laying in the weeds or in some other way out played you on that particular hand. My worst bad beat: I was in a tournament sponsored by a local radio station, and the winner won an entry into a big poker tournament. I won the first leg of the tournament (there were 8 in total) and made it to the final table with 7 others. I had the chip lead almost the entire time, but late with just three players left (one of whom had next to nothing in front of him), I went all-in following the turn with a pair of aces and a queen kicker. The guy with roughly the same amount of chips as I called with an open-ended straight draw and just one card to come. He hit his straight on the river and won the free entry to a tournament in Atlantic City because of it. We had taken a break just before this hand, and I still think to this day that someone set the hand up while we were outside. Who calls with an open-ender after the turn in those circumstances???? Will never let that one go.

Brad you would not believe this insane bad beat. It involves two of the wackiest players at the table. One (1) who always calls but only raises the nuts and one (2) who is super agro, but genuinely good at the game. 1 opens preflop with 2 reraising them. They go to a flop of 4,7,8 rainbow and 1 bets. 2 reraises on the flop and 1 3-bet jams with QJ of diamonds. 2 has aces and they run it once. It comes out 9, 10. 1 wins with a runner runner straight
Became a first-time Dad at 48 in 2012, but it was my partner's 4th. She was 46 at the time, her others were 24, 22, and 20, and her middle child already had a 2-year-old herself. It's been pretty awesome being older parents, especially since her 3 others were already out on their own.

Your sign says "tell me about your worst bad beat." I hope you won't mind if I tell you about the bad beat I consider the best. This was 30 years ago, in the poker room at the Bellagio in Vegas. I was playing one/two no limit, just a $200 buy in. Not much, but I was poor. After maybe an hour at the table, I am dealt pocket Tens, both red. I limp in and call the $15 raise when it gets back around to me.There are six of us in the hand. The flop comes Queen of clubs, Ten of spades, Ten of clubs. I am feeling invincible. First better opens for $50, next guy raises to $100, next player folds, and I push all in for about $450. The last two players in the hand fold, the opener calls me and the second guy calls as well. The turn is an Ace of clubs, both of my remaining opponents check. Finally, the river comes a Jack of clubs. The opener checks, second goes all in with the rest of his stack, and opener calls him. As you already know I had quad Tens. The opener turns over two mid range clubs for a flush, and looks crestfallen. Then the hammer falls, the second guy turn over an Ace of spades and the King of clubs, a Royal Flush. There goes my invincible hand. At the point, a familiar sounding voice behind me says, "that's a bad beat..." I turn around to see Doyle Brunson looking over my shoulder at the table. He had been playing at a nearby table and noticed the excitement of our, admittedly small, thee way all in. He looked at me, said "nice try" and shook my hand. Best bad beat ever.
Since you asked for badbeat stories, the worst I TOOK was way back in ~2009 in a low-stakes online tournament. ~40bb deep, Don't recall the exact bets/action, but we go 3-way to a KT5 rainbow flop with Button (me), BB, and UTG. Everyone ends up all-in (I THINK it was BB bet big, UTG called, I shoved, call, call). Hands face up, 55-set (me), KT-2pair(BB), K7-1pair(UTG) Board ends up KT5-7-7 The nastiest I GAVE was in 2018, down to ~12BB, folds to me, peel AKs on the button, shove. BB wakes up with JJ. JK2 flop, 2 turn, K river to boat-over-boat. Ended up turning that save into 4th place for $1700 lol.
Not a bad beat for me, but I was involved in the hand: It was a 3 way all in pre, 77(me) vs. 77 vs. AA Flop: T 8 6 Turn: 9 to give myself and the other 77s a straight River: inconsequential
I was on the WSOP app and I had pocket kings. I'm not going anywhere, so I called a 2,000 bet. The flop comes AAK, and I'm loving life. I flopped a boat. The turn was another king. Quads. My opponent went all in. I'm smiling ear to ear as I call it. The guy had pocket rockets. He has 1 out, the Ace of Diamonds. The river comes with the Ace of Diamonds. I lost big.
Bad Beat: Whole table calls 20 or 25 pfr. I squeeze with AK. Villian jams with QTs and I call. We run it twice. I hit and ace on the first board, but villian gets trip Q Second board he gets a flush WSOP dealer, so we had to tell the dealer Villian scoops
I love how you show all your hands not just the wins it really helps ppl see the reality that you will lose money in pocker but when you calculate your every move keep a good attitude and keep pushing you can be a profitable professional poker player! You are a legend and a great influence to the genius community keep up the great work!
My only complaint to you liking "jiggities" is my bad beat story. Shortly after turning 21, I was playing 1/2 NLHE at a casino and had JJ. I called a 12 dollar raise in position, heads up to a flop of Q J 2. UTG checks, I bet 24. UTG calls. Turn is the case J. UTG checks. I check. River is a Q. UTG bets 100. I jam for 250 more. UTG snap calls with QQ. The bad beat jackpot had just got hit recently, so it wasn't near as big as what I got. (it was enough to cover my loss on the hand plus a few hundred more). 6 hours later, I have JcJh again, there is a pre flop raise to 10 dollars, I call. Flop is 10d, 9d, 4s. Middle position bets 25, I raise to 85, middle position goes all in for 325 effective, I call. He shows Kd Qd. Turn is clean, River.. the Case J of diamonds for a river straight flush. I quit playing for quite sometime, and JJ is my least favorite hand because of it. Obviously since hitting the bad beat jackpot hours prior, there was nothing in it to win this time. It has made it easier to fold JJ if there are over cards out, or if I get a gut feeling someone has QQ or better.
"If I find myself in Savannah with a party of four and I'm looking for some Latin cuisine, I guess I'm gonna have to go elsewhere." Jesus Christ, that made me laugh. 😂
Worst bad beat. Just happened this week at the Horeshoe. There for a few days vacation. 1-3, had maybe 180 left. Early position, 8 players. Pocket fours. Led for $10, four callers. Flop 10-10-4 I have a full house and led for 10- probably could have checked, but wanted to build pot. Two folds, button raises to 30, I call. Turn is a 9. I go all in, button calls. Pot is $400. She shows Ace , 10, she has one out… and hits it. That one hurt as I play maybe twice a year as my state has no poker rooms and doesn’t allow on line play either.
Brad. I wanna start trying my hand at poker but have a hard time with bankroll. Whats your best advice to get a good bankroll together and what stakes are the best to run to keep it? I play home games and 1/2 locally sort of when I have money/when I can.
To answer your Background question, I lost Quad 4s to Quad Aces. worst part about it? I didn't qualify for the bad beat jackpot that was $700,000 at the time because you need Quad 6s
Hi Brad. My worst bad beat ever was in 2008 when I played the WSOP main event. On Day 3 there were about 800 players left it paid at 666( Satan's number). UTG opened to 10k at blinds of 1500/3000. I had JJ on the button. I had 2nd in chips with 45 bb. UTG chip leader at table. I flatted as I noticed the SB was going to fold BB folded. Flop was J 7 4 rainbow. He checked which was odd as he always cbet. I bet 7500 and he check raised to 60k when he meant to bet 40k he said. I jammed as I felt he would have to call with his whole range and he did. He had AK. turn Q river 10. Ugh. Worst feeling ever.

Hey Brad, I used to live in Jacksonville, and I played at Best Bet (I referred to it as Regency, since it's next to the Regency Mall). I was even there when the poker room opened back in March of 2012. Back then, the max buyt-in was $500 for a 2/5 game. I found Regency to be tough at times, but I've had some big wins there. My biggest win at a card casino came at Regency. If you ever run into a tough middle-aged woman there named Diana, or a tough semi-young guy with a big mouth named Daniel, tell them that you were referred to them by the black musical trivia guy with a white cane named John. They'll know that is. ☺ Great vlog, Brad!
May I ask you how you are able to record while at the table? Everytime I ask at casinos they tell me that isnt allowed. I would really like to start a blog on my poker exploits.
My worst bad beat was on the stone bubble. got it all in with a set of Ks on a K 3 7 rainbow board. Opponent bluff shoved the flop with A10 off and it came runner runner Q J. Have had worse but that one still hurts me

You’re going to be an amazing Father Owen. I know your father is proud of you too. We’re all proud of you brother !!
Congratulations Brad on your new arrival. Best wishes always.
"If I find myself in Savannah with a party of four and I'm looking for some Latin cuisine, I guess I'm gonna have to go elsewhere." Jesus Christ, that made me laugh. 😂
Congratulations on the BABY!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Congrats Brad! Happy for you and all the family.
Congrats Brad! Blessings on the baby and marriage on the way. I'm happy for you!
Congrats on the upcoming addition to your family ❤🎉🎉
Great day when Brad hits quads!!
Worst bad beat. Just happened this week at the Horeshoe. There for a few days vacation.
1-3, had maybe 180 left. Early position, 8 players.
Pocket fours. Led for $10, four callers.
Flop 10-10-4
I have a full house and led for 10- probably could have checked, but wanted to build pot.
Yup. Enjoy the game
Bro 😥
Congratulations!! Happy for you and your family!!
Congratulations on becoming a Father. The best thing that can happen for you both.
Congrats on the pregnancy. Being a father is the best ❤

Congrats on the baby!!! We have 3 sons, our 3rd is Henry Matthew - so close to the same name, Henry was my grandfather's name. So happy for you and your family!!!
God it’s the greatest feeling when opening up UA-cam and find that Brad has dropped another video.
I used to live for Cosmo updates, then I lived for Marvin updates...I guess now I'll live for Henry (Hank?) updates! Congratulations to you both!
I'm 3 years in to being a dad and it may be challenging but it f***ing rocks!!!
Congratulations bro. I’ve been watching since 2017! Great to hear
Haha I'll look out for Diana and Daniel. Thanks John.
May I ask you how you are able to record while at the table? Everytime I ask at casinos they tell me that isnt allowed. I would really like to start a blog on my
poker exploits.
Congrats on your growing family!!!
My worst bad beat was on the stone bubble. got it all in with a set of Ks on a K 3 7 rainbow board. Opponent bluff shoved the flop with A10 off and it came runner runner Q J. Have had worse but that one still hurts me
Shortly after meeting you at the World Series my son was born in August this year and it has been one of the biggest blessings of my life.
Thanks for coming here too Jax. Sorry I was camping in Georgria and couldn't visit. Next time you're in town!
Congrats on the baby!!!! It is an amazing time
BTN: I came to play.
Brad: I came to win!!!!
