I'm not a fan of the push the volume control knob to turn on as most of the ones I've come across you have to use two hands to power on, one to keep the unit from sliding across the shelf and the other to push the knob. What I've done in the past it replace the stock feet with stickier ones. I prefer a seperate switch or turn the volume control to turn on.
almost positive that’s incorrect about the (useless) low-pass sub out filter; it’s there but the mains speaker out still receives all frequencies - there’s no high pass filter unfortunately.
Hello, Bruce, good morning! I think I'll pass on this one. I have a Fosi ZA3, which I'm happy with. I believe I'd rather stay with the ZA3 and 'hot rod' the sucker with either Sparkos or Burson discrete op amps. I have a headphone amp unit with Sparkos discrete op amps, and I'm a very happy camper with it. Thanks for the nice review! 🙂👍🎶🎶🎶
Since you have already used sparkos and know what they sound like, i would suggest you try the akliam lc5 with your za3. I have been a big fan of sparkos ss3602 and have 10+ of them but recently wanted to try the akliam lc5 after seeing so many comments about the akliam. Boy, was i impressed! Tried the lc5 on za3, v3, v3 mono, a70, a07 max and they sound better to me than the ss3602! The bass sounds even more richer and tighter than the sparkos and i cannot wrap my head around why and how! These are 1/5th of the price of a sparkos and that is an insane value. I have changed every single of my ss3602 with the lc5. It has become my new go to opamp.
Please keep comments civil. Comments with links will be removed

The ZA3 is excellent

can it power kef q350 at loud volume? And which is better, a70 or za3?
Between the Aiyima A70 and the Fosi Audio ZA3, knowing that I won't use a subwoofer on it , which one would be better in your opinion?
I’m partial to the ZA3
