@@PNW.Voyager Interesting comment. I'm in the market for my first "adventure bike". The Aprilia is a top consideration mainly because of it's size and weight. I don't plan to ride the interstate, but do want something that can handle it when I have to. After your comment, I'm wondering if I should consider the BMW 850 or Honda Africa Twin instead???
@@ralphkeith2905 the Tuareg does a great job on the freeway, but you can’t really compare a 1250 to a 660. If you are going to go off road and it’s your first time go with something light and off road oriented (Honda rally) for example. I enjoy multiple bikes as you have the option to pick what machine you want for the adventure you’re about to take. The Tuareg is still my top pick for off road, I do love the GS power though. The 850 gs feels just as heavy as the 1250 gs in slower terrain. The wheel setup is ideal though with the 21 in front wheel
@@PNW.Voyager I have a Honda CRF250 with the Rally Raid suspension upgrade and an unbelievably fun Honda Ruckus. Sold the Harley and now I'm looking, as everyone is, for that one machine that can do it all and do it well. Thank you for responding!
Hello from Phx 👋🏼 Looks like you’re having a great time exploring Joshua Tree and the desert SW. Happy Holiday. 🌵🎄
Hello, Jacob. What tires were you running at Joshua Tree? Thanks!
Tkc 70s, definitely not the best in sand
Thanks. And, glad you got the chance to get in that ride. Sounds like it was therapeutic. Merry Christmas
So you rode GS all the way from WA?
Trailered to Redding, CA as there are a few mountain passes with snow.
Where's the Is aprilia
At home, I decided to take the GS as I have to do a bunch of heavy traffic interstate riding on this route.
