- The 17-year-old boy, who was involved in the Pune crash, has claimed that his family driver was behind the wheel when the accident happened. The minor’s two friends, who were with him at the time of the accident, have backed his claims.
The teenager, son of real estate developer Vishal Agarwal, was in the car that crashed into a motorbike, killing two people. A day before, a Pune court cancelled the bail granted to him and ordered him to be sent to a juvenile centre.

To give an example , In Raj Narain case, 1975 , Allahabad High Court that found the Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi guilty of electoral malpractices. This are checks and balances. The 2014 NJAC act brought by BJP govt under the veil of judicial reforms could have also compromised the independence of judiciary. Take this scenario, under constitution, There is separation of powers between Judiciary, legislature and executive. If Modi wins with 2/3 majority, it means legislature will work on his whip. additionally, if his government also compromise the independence of judiciary, then there will nobody to check on the actions of executive ( Govt). When you say system, do you mean the state government too?
CCL should not had been given bail earlier( though modified later). Because as per sec12 safety and security concerns were there. Then how could he be given bail earlier. But as he is a juvenile so justice process should be through jj act and remember jj system is not punitive but reformatory.
It is assumed that juvenile is deviated and after reform he should be provided an opportunity to be socially reintegrated.
Juvenile should be judged on the basis of jj act only. Father though have been imposed of sec75 jj act still stricter punishment should be given to him for his negligence and providing lack of proper guidance to his son.
A CCL is a CNCP ( child in needs of care of protection). Here juvenile also us a victim of situation where he had not got proper guidance.
