Thank you so much for all your inspiration. Because of you, I’ve learned how to install drip irrigation. A big project for me, trenching our entire property, installing additional water faucets and supply lines. You’ve given me the courage to do all this myself. You’ve introduced me to 4 seasons gardening. I now have beautiful birch trees, the renaissance variety, and PW coral berries. You’ve opened my world up to beautiful sedums, echinacea and Russian sage, to mention a few. The projects I’ve completed are amazing and future projects are even more challenging. I’m an older lady, 53 , still work full time and a melanoma cancer survivor. I can never be in the sun ever again, Dr’s orders. I garden fully clothed, big hats, sun block when the sun is not at its peek and I use a shade canopy. Gardening in the rain is a favorite. I just really appreciate all the information you give, new plant introductions, your view of balance between hard scapes, flower beds, walkways and keeping a beautiful grass lawn. I am excited and sometimes impatient for future projects, but I love how things are going and your vids are my GO TO. TY ❤❤❤
Congratulations, this was so good to read, how you met all the challenges. I am an older lady too, where there's a will, there's a way. Very well done 👏
Laura, thank you for another fantastic video. I especially love the sedums. Do you leave your drip system in place during winter months? I’m in zone 6. I purchased the same material after watching your video. Thank you!
I think it's great that you didn't edit out changing your mind and moving the plants to another location to better suit their watering needs. That's smart gardening! And you gave us two design examples of where they would look great. The Russian Sage would have looked charming with the Lilac Days rose, too.
Good morning, Laura ☕️ Everything is looking so good! You must be in awe of of how far the South Garden has come together in such a short timeframe. Well done!👏🏻👏🏻 Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
Laura, crazy that I’m making a suggestion to you! When I plant in area that has been mulched, I carry a bucket of mulch with me so that when new plant is in the ground, I can then lightly mulch around new plants. Blends right in
I have adopted so much attitude from you Laura. Before I was afraid to move things and I suffered when my plants died. Today, when a plant dies is a chance to plant something new. I no longer wait if I don’t like something in the garden. I move things around. Is no big deal. One day I will visit your garden when it becomes a Fabulous garden to visit in the US. People are going to visit from all over the world. I can’t wait. ♥️ Bless all your family’s hard work and your enthusiasm is contagious.♥️
Good morning all! I have a sedum that’s like 30 years old and she’s still going strong. The new one you have Laura is beautiful! I also love Russian Sage a lot too!
I have been having my morning coffee with you for a couple years now and even though I live in a zone 2b in Alberta, Canada, I have learned so much from you. Your gardens are absolutely stunning. Thank you!
I really appreciate when you give us these little updates on other plants as you’re working in different areas. 😊 Very helpful! Because of course I’ve seen you plant them all out and it’s so nice to see what does well and what doesn’t.
Beautiful ~ simply beautiful. And so satisfying watching you plant ~ looking forward to the growth of it all. Thank you Laura and Aaron for allowing us into your gorgeous property.
I am always impressed with the size of plants you get from PW. I lucked out and found a nursery that has PW plants in larger containers an are so healthy. It's a bit of a drive but so worth it. In the big box stores they are usually small, an are either dried out and not doing well,or so over watered they are rotted . Going back with my daughter after the rain clears out of Georgia. She moved into her new home last summer. Between her husband building a shop/garage for the boat, clearing the surround acres of undergrowth, putting down sod this spring, she finally can get to her planting. Lol she got her chicken coupe first tho. Fenced in the back yard for her dogs. On one acre they plan on raising two beef cows. I can almost bet they will be pets. Thanks to Laura we don't have to worry about how to lay out a plan. What to plant where. She's did the work for us. To be sure,we will copy lots of her ideas. It may never be as massive as Laura's gardens, but beautiful non the less. A clean slate to work with
The colors in your large pots are beautiful it pops! But love all that you do so I Decided to re do one of my flower areas. Love to your family your little ones are adorable!!
It's amazing how full the South garden is beginning to look. You have worked hard in getting it established. All your gardens are looking so beautiful.
Your yard is gorgeous ❤ so much hard work.Thank you for showing over time a beautiful garden and all the best ways to makeit work!❤ Kudos and carryon my friend 👏 😊
Love all your videos!!! Would love a tour of the inside of your house after you have finished painting! Can’t wait for another antiquing video!!! Plus a visit to your moms garden❤️ Anyway that’s my wish list 😂😂😂. You all make my day❤️❤️❤️
Oh, these flower/color combinations are glorious! I loved the updates on the other already-planted flowers, hollyhawks, etc. Plus, thank you for describing & showing the water system.
Beautiful plantings! Lavender colored roses are my favorite. Here's an idea - do same-place drone footage looking down over parts of the garden so you can put them together later like a time lapse showing how you filled in an area with plants over time. Could do sets for each area, then see the total at the end of the season. That would be so cool.
Yee gads - you (& Aaron & kids) are such motivated hard workers. As a 72 year young retiree, I have scaled back to the containers of flowers and herbs on the patio - the Husbander still loves our 30' x 40' veggie and sunflower garden. Love your videos! 🙂
I knew something was up when I saw the shot of her just kneeling and contemplating. Such good forethought. Loving the walkways and the area by the house you just planted! : )
Everything is going to be so lovely. A plan is always changing, go with the flow. Appreciate how you always acknowledge Paul and Bethany and the work they do.
Yes! Definitely a plus to acknowledge ALL the work that goes into creating this glorious garden, especially the behind-the-scenes workers like Paul & Bethany & Pedro & his crew.
I’m planning a small 4x30 area and every time I think I’ve got it, I see something else that’s beautiful! I want them all! I learn something every day from you Laura. Thanks for sharing-being a new gardener your information is so helpful!
I planted simliar sedums this year. The variety is called sun sparkler. I love the dark foliage. I am enjoying the annuals you are adding to the perennial beads in the south garden. It helps bridge the gap until the perennials fill out.
Oh my goodness! You look so extra pretty today! I love your hair, it makes those beautiful blue eyes just "pop". Thank you for all you do to make life so enjoyable for others. You have created a paradise on earth.
I am just amazed on how much you have accomplished in this area! It’s absolutely gorgeous! Love your videos and enjoy them so much. Thank you for sharing ❤
love that sedum and those superbells!! will send good vibes they make it 😊 everything is looking so gorgeous and that mulch!!! ahhhh, neat and tidy... love that so much!! 🥰❤ thanks for the video!! 🥰❤
Those Sedum are gorgeous, all those plants are beautiful. Your South garden has changed do much. Looking forward to your next layer of plants going in. Thank you and have a blessed day.
With your wind I would definitely be giving that rose something to hold on. Garden crossing just featured it this morning also and they said it will need support.
So pretty! You have so much area to plant still-I can’t imagine not having any perennials in the south garden , like you originally thought. They bring in so much color and texture. 😊
I really love y'all's work and insights. Laura, you are a very good host! I find I am forever inspired when you are planting things! Thank y'all for sharing!
Love your flagstone walkway. Did I miss anything in your previous videos? I’d like to see your process with putting compost over stones. The look is exactly what I’m working on for my backyard. You all are amazing! Love the natural sounds! Thank you for you being YOU!!💚🌳☀️🌙✨🦋🐞🌸🌺
Yes I think she just told the process this week in a video. She basically said she throws compost down , sweeps it and waters it in . And will keep adding more til it's full .
That sedum is stunning! I thought the video was frozen for a second when Laura was "buffering" about the plant placement 🤣 Glad to see other people do the same thing
Love the sedum!! One of my favorite plants. Thank you for identifying which plants are for 2024 -we can see how they do and make a note of their names for our shopping spree next year. Such a beautiful combination today!
I love your colour scheme and choices. Also how you respect what others have done. Like Bethany and Paul finishing the mulch in that first area. You decided to use a shovel instead of your auger. Very respectful 🙏 ❤ I loved the end result. Such a beautiful planting.
Oh that sedum looks amazing! We bought a house a year ago and behind a low wall surrounding the patio beneath a huge layer of english ivy there was a plastic nursery container upside down with a sedum growing in it. I planted it in the flowerbed end of summer last year and holy moly it has quadrupled in size this spring. I'm unsure of the variety but I think it's the classic autumn joy. I am looking for more interesting colors as they're so very easy to grow and I enjoy their color deep into autumn.
Good morning Laura and family 👨👩👧👦 Awe everything looks gorgeous, my Sage gets out of control I haven't cut it back this summer yet. Thank you for sharing as always, have a great rest of the morning and day. 👋🙂🌸🌹
Laura, could you do a video on the look of different scales of planting. For example, in the shade garden you planted in swaths of groups of the same plants, vs randomizing them all so that there was something different between each of them. I feel there may be a purpose for doing both ways in different sized spaces but would love to see the difference in look.
🏡 Hello Laura ! You have fast become my garden teacher and given me hope for a spring . Please show me videos on starting butterfly bushes, lilac boomerangs , and the type of Russian sage you are growing with such success ! It's. It's been a tough year and I'm hoping to save . Bless you for your help ❤ You're such a delight when you take such risks 💫
I have the Lilac Days Rose, love that it can be grown as a climber or a shrub.Right now I have it in a large Whisky Barrel but it will be planted in the ground in fall.
In the Proven Winners video, they say to plant the flower in their compostable container in the ground as a possible option so they will do better in the ground
My first year having hollyhock. They are so beautiful. You have inspired me to plant some seeds instead of buying all plants. I did have 1 pack of seeds that didn’t come up at all. Your gardens are beautiful. Thanks so sharing. Pat in North Carolina
Laura, your videos just bring me a little happiness first thing in the morning. My 3 yr old and I sit and watch you together. Have a blessed day!

Wow lady you have accomplished a lot!! Congratulations on being a cancer survivor! Happy gardening🌱
Congratulations, this was so good to read, how you met all the challenges. I am an older lady too, where there's a will, there's a way. Very well done 👏
I am so impressed with your can do attitude! Good for you

I love that about her, she always shows when she changes no matter the reason. She doesn't hide it, shows us, its good to change the plans.
Good morning, Laura ☕️ Everything is looking so good! You must be in awe of of how far the South Garden has come together in such a short timeframe. Well done!👏🏻👏🏻 Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈

I love the repeat of the Russian Sage it’s so pretty and the impact of the purple❤️
Laura, I can’t get over the side walks! Such a beautiful stable in the Garden! 💪🏻✊🏻👊🏻
I LOVE the stone walk. It so invites a stroll through the garden.
These colors together are so pleasing to the eye! The different shades of violet play so well with the different greens ahhh love it love iiit!!! 💜💚💜💚

I totally agree about it becoming a fabulous garden to visit one day,Laura is going to give our famous gardeners in the UK a run for their money.
Beautifully said! Attitude is where it is at! 🌿
I love all of these plants and grass. I can't wait to buy the sedums and the avalanche grass. I already have the Russian sage.
Good morning all! I have a sedum that’s like 30 years old and she’s still going strong. The new one you have Laura is beautiful! I also love Russian Sage a lot too!

I think it's really helpful when you explain when you cut back /prune the plants and other general care throughout the year...when to fertilize etc..
Laura you’ve changed my mind about a lot of plants, I would’ve never thought to plant sedum now I have it all over .
Oh my! The stone walkway is gorgeous with the dark mulch❤️🥰❤️
It’s time for big tree shopping!
How blessed you are to have so much property to plant on❤
The combination of the lavender colours is a winner. Great job, Laura 👍
That sedum is a stunner
Yes it really is!
Yep l agree with you not that one just a beautiful plant
When are you going to plant the arbor?
4k of the same comment. That’s humanity. 😞
I'd like to see it planted with the Lemonjade or Autumn Joy Sedum, so we could see the contrast.
Привет Лаура! Восхищаюсь тобой и твоим трудолюбием облагораживать все вокруг. Ты такая умничка. Детки твои тоже прелесть.❤👍

It must be pw and the amendment!
We had a 20 day period of heat and no rain here, I never watered the sedum and it's doing great. Such an excellent plant
Oh, these flower/color combinations are glorious! I loved the updates on the other already-planted flowers, hollyhawks, etc. Plus, thank you for describing & showing the water system.

Good morning Laura and family 👨👩👧👦
Awe everything looks gorgeous, my Sage gets out of control I haven't cut it back this summer yet.
Bless you for your help ❤
You're such a delight when you take such risks 💫
That sedum is calling my name! love, Love, LOVE!
I have the Lilac Days Rose, love that it can be grown as a climber or a shrub.Right now I have it in a large Whisky Barrel but it will be planted in the ground in fall.
You mentioned you lost some of your Micro Chip butterfly bushes, so did I this year. It was beautiful and healthy last summer.
