Your photography in this vlog is stunning. You deserve an award. Seriously. It gave me all the feels of fall. The drone footage...aaah! And , the horses! Love all your makes. You are so talented. This is my favorite vlog to date.🎉
That is some very beautiful countryside where you live! Love that you share in your awesome videography. And yes, those two green projects are going to be gorgeous in the beautiful green yarns.
This video is so lovely! Thank you. In my heart I am a country girl. Grew up in Michigan in the country, my grandma had a farm and the summers there were magical. Now I live, and have since my 20's, in Connecticut. It's nice, here but I miss my country roots.
This entire 28.39 mins was absolutely visually stunning and the MAKES are ALL AMAZING TOO! 🤩 WOW thank you for sharing your gifts of creativity with us. Your linen pants allllllmost make me want to try sewing, but I have such a mental block there for some reason. Worked on my Amren shawl while watching .. have a great weekend Kaci!
Kaci have really enjoyed all your videos. I've watched them from the start, you are so inspiring and given me the courage to try knitting myself a garment rather than throws and socks😊 Love the footage of your farm life, especially the chickens🐔
Enjoyed the podcast only feeling very sad that I can’t knit right now as I broke my wrist sat. Sept 14th on my 50th wedding anniversary: not the way I wanted to celebrate but here we are. Looking forward to to healing and picking up my knitting again. I will continue to watch your UA-cam as I find it enjoyable and inspiring ❤
I’m a born and bred suburbanite, but looking at your beautiful, peaceful bucolic setting makes me long for fields and trees as far as the eye can see. Thanks for sharing your views!
Not being under a deadline gave you time to be a photographer as well as accomplish all the other things you do so well! Beautifully done. Would love to join your KAL. Working on the Frame (still!). I am amazed at how much knitting you accomplish, I know it's your job, but still, I am so impressed.
Found you through a post by Andrea Mowry, and popped right over. Such restful scenery and the colors in the area where you live. I was guessing TN based on accent 'cuz definitely not GA where I am...not enough pines. Love your work and your home, what I've seen. Decided to stay and subscribed. Thanks for a lovely restful post!
I loved your new intro, especially your little calf!! Omg what a cutiepie! The whole thing was so slow (in a good way!!) and cozy and calming and I loved it!
I just finished a baby sweater and booties, now back to work on my first cardigan from my handspun wool. I’m doing stripes because my spinning isn’t uniform from skein to skein. In adhd form I kept experimenting with different techniques, worsted, woolen, plying thick and thin. But it’s looking great so far!
Another wonderful vlog❤❤❤I always love ur everything u make and put together. The scenery & horses are breathtakingly beautiful. TU for sharing with us.
Kaci, you’re amazing! I love your vlog footage, it feels like I’m there with you. And your music selection is spot on, giving me pride and prejudice feels. Congrats on no test knits, love your Ginny cardigan cast on 😍
I love your videos, and the peace and serene feeling they create. 🙏🏼. I love how you incorporate your knitting and sewing into the photos and videos of your lovely little piece of this beautiful planet. 🩷 Sadly, I am allergic to non-superwash wool, mohair, cashmere and angora. This sometimes makes knitting a challenge. Some of the yarn makers have beautiful wool, but do not do superwash…such as LITLG and Knitting For Olive. However there is such a bounty of superwash wool, cotton, silk, and alpaca yarns that I am able to substitute for almost any pattern. Thank you for your lovely and inspiring videos! 😻
Love you Kaci!!! Your colour palate is always the best. I am knitting on the Field sweater by Camilla Vad in Sonder Sunday morning DK in Full English- I think you know and love that one! :)
Love your intros to your podcasts!! Your projects are inspiring! I am currently knitting the Felix Cardigan by Savory Knitting. It’s a top down knit and knits up pretty quick! I will post a picture once I have completed it. Have a great day everyone!!
I so enjoy your podcasts 😊 you give us a little bit of everything and your farm is beautiful with the horses and picturesque view. I wasn't sure about the sailor top but am sure that I will knit it the colors are so you. Looking forward to joining the kal. ❤
Beautiful podcast as always thanks Kaci. Your Hey Sailor looks stunning and fits you so well. new pants you whipped up go well and suit you also. I love your farm footage - drone shows it well doesn't it. Bother - your new hay rolls got soaked. Ever cover them? - in NZ a lot of farmers almost shrink wrap them in bright green plastic ha. Your children growing up with horse riding,,,,,special. What an amazing childhood they will be having. 🥰
Hi Kaci Totally with you on loving the KFO Cotton merino. I just finished a Poppy tee that I striped using cotton merino and the KFO silk as the silk had a darker black. And I used cotton merino last year for a Flores tee and wore it lots through spring and summer before it got too hot. I love using a loose gauge for the cotton merino, it makes an airy light and cool garment that’s great for both of our climates. And the gorgeous earthy colours 😍
I am loving the Hey Sailor top. I'm still such a beginner, but I'm going to put that in my favorites for when I feel a little more experienced. It's such a fun top.
Another lovely podcast. 😊 Thank you so much for the book recommendation! I think it will be a perfect Christmas gift for one of my friends. Also, the pants patterns looked awesome. I like that they don’t require so much fabric. I am knitting a pair of socks using Fiber for the People yarn and am starting the Stolen Stitches Saoirse Sweater KAL next week using their Irish wool.
Love seeing you and homestead. Currently knitting a vanilla sock and a garter squish blanket using up all my scrap yarns. Started the big cozy cardi but finishing my scrappy blanket first. See you soon!
I loved this peaceful intro, but I missed your other one with the bees and the piano, etc. You're such a multicrafty person, and I love how the other one showcases that. The Hey Sailor top turned out amazing! Just another great example of mosaic knitting. Your cardigans are beautiful. I especially l love the Ginny Cardigan.❤🧶
It will be back! I’m just saving it for once or twice month traditional podcast episodes. I had some complaints on how low the intro was and thought maybe for more vlog style videos I’d show current footage before hand
The hey sailor looks like it would be a stiff fabric with those size needles. I would be using 4 ply or fingering. ???shall I go down a size and up a size in needles?
Lovely and enjoyable!!! Video and knitting!!! Knitting the Yume Tee, Slip Stitch Cowl, Mosaic socks and socks for &TheUnapologeticKnitter Sock Master Class. Enjoy the rain and send some down my way. I’m so tired of 90 degree weather. I need fall!! 🍁🍂🍁
I love your green Spincycle yarn!!! So pretty and so you lol. Are you still thinking about having a family photo made with all the family wearing hand knit sweaters? Have a great week Kaci❤❤
I am currently working on a Mexican Blanket greatly inspired by Tayler from WoolNeedlesHands. I also just cast on a hat and am finishing up a camisole #5.
I recently took advantage of Purl SoHo’s 30% sale and stocked up on linen quill. I have never used this yarn so it was with blind ambition that I ordered about a dozen skeins. It make be a good choice for Andrea’s new sweater. I have seen it on Ravelry and didn’t really notice it much until you featured it.
Thanks for sharing. Not only your knitting but all your farm pictures but why didn't you share your rain? I'm not that far. I'm Northwest of Hot springs. We got a couple drips. So remember if you're going to share, share everything!😂😂❤
Your new intro is quite stunning. Is that you playing the piano? Really like your sailor tee. So many made the ribbing a different color. Yours looks more cohesive. I have to check out those pants patterns they look great on you.
I just bought the sailor top pattern with her moving sale. I also have her traveller hoodie as part of my TKL (to knit list). Can we have an Andrea Mowry pattern tour of your knits??
I live in the Puget Sound area, and I wanna go to La Mercerie soooo bad! 😭 It'd be such a lovely day trip with a friend of mine. We'd probably go somewhere for a lovely dinner and wine with our husbands afterwards too.
Oh my goodness! I've never seen your vlog til today, and I loved it, especially the moody, atmospheric music + drone footage! Subscribing NOW! I'm knitting on Tin Can Knits' Flax pullover, in delicious Jo Sharp Silkroad DK Tweed, in the Cedar colorway, because like you, I am all about some green. I think I may jump into the Mosaic Mayhem KAL with a Pressed Flowers hat...
There's a tutorial video on UA-cam for an afterthought buttonhole. This method allows you to knit your piece and plan and create the buttonholes after you finish it. It's my preferred method, especially because I also like to choose my buttons after I finish the piece, and this allows me to do so.
Hi there! I love the fit of your Hey Sailor top! It’s adorable! Do you mind sharing how much ease your final project has? I would like a similar fit. Thanks!
Hello beautiful Kaci 😊 You did an amazing job on the Hey Sailor top it looks great on you ❤ I know how you feel about test knits I am knitting 2 at the moment but I just love the process.
I really wish I had the inclinatiin to sew. I can, but I spe d most of my time knitting (currently on the Stria cardigan by Andrea Mowry), or spinning, and sometimes cross stitching. Aren't we blessed that we have so many options?!? 💗🥰

I completely agree!!!
Yeah, me too! And what was that beautiful piano piece that accompanied the long video? Gorgeous!
I Love the color of your calf-my hair used to be that exact strawberry blonde! 😂😂😂
That is some very beautiful countryside where you live! Love that you share in your awesome videography. And yes, those two green projects are going to be gorgeous in the beautiful green yarns.

As always beautiful video shots! I really enjoy the outdoor shots, feels like I am on a tiny vacation while sitting at home and knitting ❤
Thank you for joining me
Amazing photography, Kaci, and some great knits. Love your Sailor Tee and the new cardi will be terrific too.
This entire 28.39 mins was absolutely visually stunning and the MAKES are ALL AMAZING TOO! 🤩 WOW thank you for sharing your gifts of creativity with us. Great outfit, that new T shirt is amazing on you. Catching the rain and viewing the land, so lovely.

It is a lovely Hey Sailor.

I love your Vlog. Green is one of my favorite colors. How many green sweaters do you have?
Not that many actually 🤣 I have a lot on my needles at the moment tho haha

Hi there! I love the fit of your Hey Sailor top! It’s adorable! Do you mind sharing how much ease your final project has? I would like a similar fit. Thanks!
Yes! I have 5 inches at the bust! Hope that helps
I just cast on Hey Sailor for me and a weekender crew going for my sweet daughter.
Nice! Good picks!
I love your Hey Sailor top! I am curious if you think Purl Soho Linen Quill could work for this sweater?
Absolutely! My friend tested in that yarn and it turned out great
Hello beautiful Kaci 😊 You did an amazing job on the Hey Sailor top it looks great on you ❤ I know how you feel about test knits I am knitting 2 at the moment but I just love the process.
Yes! I completely understand haha
Thank you so much for this! Such a wonderful video. 18:58 this is what i needed honestly, it’s giving me calm in a chaotic week ❤
You're so welcome! Hugs and kisses 😘 thanks for watching
Beautiful clips of nature ❤ I'm knitting a pattern called Zinnie by Audrey Borrego
Sounds great! I will look it up
Such a cuuute outfit! The sweater is so pretty. Was the colour work difficult?
It’s not difficult at all!! Some of the easiest colorwork I’ve done because it is 2 color and in mosaic with a simple repetitive stitch pattern
Oh man all that rain soaking those bales of straw in the field stressed me out, even though I haven't worked with cattle and horses in over a decade 😅
You and me both. They didn’t come pick it up in time 😅
@@YoungfolkKnits oh noooo. I'll keep my fingers crossed y'all don't end up with ruined bales!

Yes! I love all the crafts!
Are these beautiful piano recordings made by you, playing piano?!
These ones are not! But I love listening to them
Hi Casey, I have a spinning question. I’ve been a spindle spinner for the last year and just purchased a wheel. I noticed that whorls have two ratios. For example my medium whorl has ratios 6.5:1 and 8:1 listed. I get what a whorl ratio represents, but why are two listed? Is one for scotch tension and the other for double drive mode? I thought that you might know the answer. I can’t seem to find it mentioned online lol! Thx ❤
So your whorl should have two grooves. And the smaller groove is the 8:1 ratio and the larger one is the 6.5
❤️🌈
i love andrea mowery but im feeling like the ribbed top shoulder part has been way overdone 🥴
I think it’s a go to because of easy shoulder shaping. I understand tho ❤
Your Hey Sailor sweater looks amazing! 🧶Your farm is absolutely beautiful. 💜
Thank you so much!
