@@hangontravellers2584 Sovcits aren't required to follow the law either. 🤣
@@hangontravellers2584 Yeah you are required to comply when you get pulled over by a cop. That's litterally the point of cops.
First time I've been disappointed in a take Brett has made, saying the cops "probably" could have handled it better sounds like giving tacit approval for their actions. They are supposed to de-escalate situations, with force only used as a last resort. Hills was and always been a brat but the cops definitely should have handled it well, not "probably". Call them out as you do everyone Brett....
innocent no, victim potentially, the whole situation was handled very poorly by both parties, the cops escalated that situation but so did Hill.
Spot on cops were 100% overly aggressive
When you decide that lawful orders are optional suggestions, the police have every right to escalate the situation to ensure your compliance.
@@Guy_de_Loimbard agreed they did have the right to escalate, but they were way more aggressive than needed once he was moving to get out of the car like i said both parties are at fault.
@@Guy_de_LoimbardYou have a law degree? There's 3 channels on here that do and they all say you're WRONG! There is NO LAW to leave your window down in Florida during a stop (or any other state for that matter), all you need is the window down far enough, 1" will do, for the passage of documents and communication. There's NO communication happening with you while an officer writes a citation until they come back with the paperword and your documents in 10-20 mins and again, you DON'T have to keep the window down during that time. Tyrell handed all LEGALLY REQUIRED paperwork to the officer and rolled up his window as the officer was leaving to go do paperwork, 100% LEGAL. Cop had a celeb and wanted the whole force to see, doesn't take 8+ officers to write a ticket
@@MadAdam93 10 times out of 10 all it takes is one person to lower their ego and cool down. I agree it look like both parties was at fault
THE AD TRANSITIONS!! flawless everytime
The Police did everything right and this idiot did everything wrong.
There is no excuse for his stupidity in any way. Its not "both sides could have done better", its simply HE caused all of it so HE is the only one who should be blamed for it. He didnt listen, so the Police MADE HIM, its that simple.
The police were 100% in the wrong. Hill was speeding. The police, instead of giving him a ticket and be on their way, escalated the situation. Hill has every right to be disrespectful, even if we don't agree. Hills attitude is not justification for being pulled out of his car and handcuffed.
@@hangontravellers2584 Case Law Pennsylvania vs Mimms. When told to get out of a Vehicle you have to, otherwise the Police can use Force to drag you out. Its a Lawful Order that he failed to obey.
Maybe educate yourself with Laws before you comment on things you dont understand next time.
In cops defense they couldn't tell if he was neon yellow let alone black with how dark the tint is.
This is how I get my news. lol
Watch Officer Tatum, he is no victim.
Two things. You didn't talk about the part where one of the cops hit him from behind.
2nd thing. No sympathy for people who speed. Tickets should be based on net worth, with a flat minimum. Also, if you ever speed grossly, it would be a license ban.
If you get caught texting, 6 months driving ban. Get caught again, 2 years driving ban. 3rd offense, 5 year driving ban. Hit someone, 10 year driving ban. Injure or kill someone because of holding your phone, lifetime driving ban.
I didn't hear about that. Is there actual proof or are we just taking him at his word like he wanted us to before the body cam footage came out? Otherwise, I agree on your other points.
yes when you dont comply, you will be hit from all sides , back, front , right , and left side too, i miss the days when folks got wood shampoos for acting like fools

That sponsorship transition, 10/10. Definitely one of the smoothest and unexpected to date
As someone who has a troubled history with law enforcement, I can tell you first hand. Don't break the law, and you have nothing to worry about.
My father used to always tell me, "If you're acting right, the law-man looks just as good coming as he does goin."
I got yelled at for going 10 over the speed limit. Now imagine going 50-80 over 😂
Bad take...The cop was overly aggressive. Not everything a cop tells you to do is a lawful order. The cop got a bruised ego from Hill telling him to just hurry up and give him a ticket and decided to escalate everything as much as he could to prove who was in charge. That is not the kind of person you want holding the governments gun. Not to mention, they went way overboard with the bystanders who were trying to watch. You have a right to watch and record public officials doing their duties.
Overly aggressive by
*checks notes*
Detaining a suspect who was being combative
How was he being combative? You could say he was dismissive or maybe disrespectful, but legally, all he had to do was roll down his window enough to communicate and give the officer his info which he did. The fact that the office went straight to get out of the car instead of just writing the ticket and moving on shows the officer cared less about doing his duty and more about asserting control. That's what it all boils down to.
@@thisischuck99facts. That one officer doesn’t need to be on the force anymore. He had an attitude with everyone that came up, yelling and screaming at everyone and being super aggressive over a traffic violation. I can’t believe there are really people defending him. Police like him that have an ego and see defending the public as a way to abuse their power need to go.
In the state of Florida, unless an officer instructs you to commit an illegal act, then yes - you are required by law to comply with an officer's instructions. It is unlawful and a misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083, for any person willfully to fail or refuse to comply with any lawful order or direction of any law enforcement officer, traffic crash investigation officer as described in s. 316.640.
i've been driving for 3 decades - been pulled over plenty - by the time the officer gets to the car I have my windows down, if its night time, my interior lights are on and my hands are rested above the steering wheel...I have a heavy foot and sometimes you have to pay the piper, I do what I'm told, pay my fines and move on with my life.
He shouldn’t have been speeding like that, but no matter how hard he was being and wouldn’t comply, they immediately resorted to excessive force.
NFL AND DOLPHINS NEED to come and condemn Hills actions and sanction him for conduct unbecoming of a NFL player!
After seeing the video I actually think the cop was overly aggressive here when he pulled Hill out of the car. You can pretty obviously tell Hill starts stepping out of the car immediately when the door is opened and he is told to get out.
The cops didn't actually give him a chance to comply with the order before pulling him out and tackling him.
Ya, they went full ham right out of the gate, totally unnecessary.
Man Brett going hard with her over exaggeration. Where did she get 120 mph from? The officers notes state he was going 60 in a 40 where did she get 120 from? She needs to do some fact checking 🤦🏾. Also with the golfer he actually hit the officer with his car when he didn't follow the instructions because he was confused, so it's not the exact same situation Tyreek Hill did not hit anybody with his car. Just saying.
I've sat on the police board. Our officers are supposed to de-escalate a situation first gather information and then proceed. As a motorist if the officer is not engaging with you you're supposed to be able to roll your window up until they return. Understandably this guy had his Windows tinted but the officer was already walking away to begin the process of writing him his tickets. So it shouldn't matter if his window was up or down. There's also four officers there so one of the other officers can take over observation of the motorist while the primary officer is writing the ticket. If the motorist doesn't want the officer to tap on his window he needs to roll his window down before the officer approaches because the motorist should also be paying attention checking his mirrors and what not. That being said the officer went too far and escalated the situation by pulling the motor first out and getting overly physical with him. It could have and should have gone much more smoothly than it did. Miami may be a beautiful city but not everybody is cut out to work in that heat.
Many of you are showing your privilege. Because you want small government you don't want police overreach but then you also want everybody to be subjugated by police follow instructions don't talk back. Which one is it really that you prefer?
Most people say that you can tint the rear glass as dark as you want it. That is in fact not the case but in a generality the rear window tint laws are almost never enforced. Most motorists are driving around with cars right from the dealership that have 5 to 10 things that can be ticketed at any point in time and that's right from factory but they're almost never enforced. So yes much of it has to do with how your interaction with the officer goes but it's also incumbent upon that officer to not overextend themselves at every interaction.
Hill acted entitled, and should have never rolled his window back up, but that one cop needs to be sent back to training.
Why? He gave his license over what law says you have to keep your window down?
Cops didn't need to drag him out of the car. Cops are always trying to flex their power.
I won’t say he’s innocent, he definitely sped. However to pull him out his car and throw him onto the ground for speeding? That seems pretty excessive. I’ve gotten my fair share of speeding tickets and never once have been asked to get out my car.
It wasn't that. they asked him to keep his window down and he did not comply he rolled it back up and then tried to ignore the cops. Then he was uncooperative when they told him to roll it back down. that was why they asked him to get out of the car, which he also took a long time to do. If he had just kept his window down like a normal person, none of this would have happened. He caused that situation all by himself.
No… he asked for it. He has the tinted window rolled up, that’s not safe for police
@@AllmightyimortalExcept he didn't take a long time. They dragged him pretty quickly after giving him the command to get out and he was already in the process (with his foot out of the car) pretty much the second the door opened. They didn't actually give him a chance to comply with the order.
@Jeremy-The-Bullfrog he literally wasn't. It was reported he was taking time, video showed it as well. He claims it's because he needed extra time getting out of the car due to his now on seat belt and other factors. Not sure if true or not. So what you said just isn't correct.
