Can't wait to see you using this one mate 👍 if anyone will give an honest review it is you. A great ambassador for any brand 😊 take care Liam and God bless you mate 🙏🙏😊
Lovely looking tent! I bought the Durston Xmid 2 Pro in Dec, had it out in Jan but a little too much cold air coming in, really looking forward to this weather picking up and I’ll have it out all the time, it’s a belter!
yes very much enjoyed this and as Spring is in the air it gives a nice boost. I like the design and make philosophy of the company that makes it. The price for such a quality tent with premium materials is actually decent. One day when I grow up I will buy one.🙂
Your presenting skills are top notch Liam and i am chuffed to bits that they give you that for free. I have never been drawn to DCF personally because of the colour and transparency of the material which is something that pains me about my Xmid because it never seems to go dark during the summer months . All the same i am looking forward to hearing your review and you can see straight away that it will perform well on the WHW 😉PS Your Midgy Bastard mates won't be ready for you 🤣
Single skin tents are fine in my experience. As for DCF I own a tarp made from it. The one thing to watch out with DCF is hailstones. If its 0.5 oz there have been a couple of cases of them getting shredded by hail. The way to get around this is to loosen the tent so it's a bit saggy if it starts hailing or you're expecting hail. Heavier weight DCF seems to stand up alright to hail though.
I've had a few dcf tents and currently own the Zpacks Plex Solo and Hexamid Pocket Tarp. Great material and while you have to careful with it you don't have to baby it when pitching. Standby for the brass band to play when it rains 😂😅
Looks mint Liam, I’ve got the Lanshan 2pro which is identical really and I love it, 2 flaws are sleeping bag touching the outer if you’re on a slope and slide into it and condensation flicking onto your face if it’s raining but the positives are too many so for me I won’t use owt else 3 season unless it’s a windy summit camp cos it don’t like the wind either, what a bit of kit!
So light and so much room inside it’s a no brainer if you’re a trekking pole user, looking forward to seeing you put it to use, I imagine the footprint from your lanshan would fit if they never sent you one
Nice one Liam, I'm really pleased You've got a relationship with Bonfus, the tent looks quality and I'm looking forward to seeing your adventures with it. I reckon you'll be heading to the Highlands On your upcoming multi day hike. All the very best to you mate, be happy and healthy! 😃👍👍
Been watching your videos for a bit now, really like what you're doing and how you're doing it, never had a DCF tent but i used to have a single skin, they are bad for condensation but the DCF might be better, good luck with it though, looking forward to seeing how you get on with it
Hi Liam, That sure is a light tent, and the Duos draws obvious comparisons to the Lanshan 2. Don't think I've read anything bad about the Dyneema material other than the noise it makes in wind and rain. Solo Sarah has names for her tents, like Hillary for her Soulo. I think you might end up calling yours Russell😂😅. Will be interested to see how you get on with it throughout the year. Cheers Graham
I have had a crux assault tent for years and use it in All weathers. I don't mind single skin tents, I don't see why more people don't use them. I am looking forward to hearing what you have to say about this. 👍
Another top video mate. Loved it at the start when you jumped into view hahaha proper laughed at that bit. Multi day hike booked?! Scotland, that’s my guess??
I use a Tramplite DCF tent....made by hand in Tadcaster by Colin Ibbottson. Possibly the most prolific backpacker from the UK in recent years. It's the best shelter I've ever had...and I've had a lot!.... sadly he's not making them anymore ☹️ Look forward to seeing your trip videos, ATB Alistair 👍
Apart from the extra tie-out points, it’s a copy of the Duplex...minus the ability to turn it freestanding using the additional kit. My x-mid pro2 (1st release) comes out to play when conditions get too much for the Duplex. You’ll love dcf shelters...easy to dry/manage condensation & because they don’t absorb water, once packed away in sh@te weather, you’re not carrying further additional weight like you would with a soaked fly on a double skin.
oh trhat rainbow zip is quite intresting haah! least its better than the lanshan 2 zip limit haha,, but doers look a decent tent though! and i bet its the west highland way :P
Good review mate, apart from...... what's the cost of this beauty?? And as its not a U.K. manufactured item...... there will also be extra costs to import it. Unless we have a local firm bringing them in?
I know Valley & Peak stock Bonfus products but think this tent is out of stock at moment but they are not cheap, best to go on Bonfus site directly and price it up as they have different options like the fly material and different bathtub floor options etc
Ok it's very light and the 2p should give enough room so you aren't touching the sides and getting the condensation on your gear I'm sure it's well made and great in 3 season weather BUT £840 😮
Looks well made, but no vents except underneath, mmmmm. Nicely filmed, wireless mic might be helpful for you, though Liam. But we've all done that shouting across the field thing.
£700 (ish).......... That's a lotta bucks, will have to wait for your full review to see how many bangs you get for that price! Enquiring minds are watching! ATB
Man, I understand the clickbait title and picture, but it also hides the video for people looking for actual reviews of the tent, just something to keep in mind ✌️
I'm well out of touch in my Decathlon special..had no idea that 'trekking pole tent' was a thing. All good..will be interesting to see how it fares on your next stormy night. Looking forward to it ..cheers

They couldn't have picked a better man to show us this tent, being put to the test. Just goes to show the respect they have for the GBO
Thank you!
You’ve officially knocked The One Show from the top of Monday evening’s top ratings 🥇Keep ‘em coming Liam 👍
Haha love that Glyn, Thank You, Snowy wild camp next week 👍🏼
Nice one! Kettle goes on at 18:50, phone on silent, looking forward to it 👍

Thank you Colin 😊 take care mate.
Thanks!
Liam likes the Highlands and The Lakes......it's either the Coast to Coast or West Highland Way to visit the midgies again.
Take care out there and shine on good bloke
Looks a great tent
Thanks Beau
Class review! The tent looks mint.⛺️ I look forward for watching you put it to some crayzeeee use!❤️
Thanks Gary
Lovely looking tent! I bought the Durston Xmid 2 Pro in Dec, had it out in Jan but a little too much cold air coming in, really looking forward to this weather picking up and I’ll have it out all the time, it’s a belter!
Bet that is a brilliant bit of kit !
Been using the MLD dcf duomid for few years, excellent., get it off the ground for good air flow. You'll love it.
Great tent mate!

Absolutely filthy that tent. Really looking forward to seeing it out and about on your adventures!
Take care mate,
Adge and B
Thanks mate; still not had a night in it but won’t be long now so i’m looking forward to that!
It's a great looking tent, fair play Liam.
Thank you Alan.
Good review Liam and I can see why you're excited about using it. Looks like a cracking tent. Looking forward to seeing you use it 👍
Thanks mate, yeah it’s the business I love it already 😅
Looking forward to these reviews since I do want a dcf tent for taking my 4yr old lad out this summer.

Thanks for the advice mate, i’ll keep that in mind, this Spurce Green is 0.75oz dcf , think the white that they also do is 0.5
Best mansion in Bradford 🙌🏻🤩 great vid Liam, thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you Sarah… Nice Snowy wild camp next week 😍👍🏼
Discovered your channel on Saturday, been binging since 🤣 now I’m planning on doing the Munros also 👍 keep up the good work 👍👍

Great vid as always Liam! Im seriously considering one of these tents also, it's between that and a durston x mid pro
Yeah i’ve used the Lanshan 2 but not the Pro so with this being single skin like you say it’l be identical to the Pro
So light and so much room inside it’s a no brainer if you’re a trekking pole user, looking forward to seeing you put it to use, I imagine the footprint from your lanshan would fit if they never sent you one
I've been using a zpacks for a few years had no problems with it it's sub 500g tent great video
Cape wrath trail you need to do. Though dont know how the tent will fare in midge snd tick conditions.
Nice one Liam, I'm really pleased You've got a relationship with Bonfus, the tent looks quality and I'm looking forward to seeing your adventures with it.
I reckon you'll be heading to the Highlands On your upcoming multi day hike.

Yes very similar design to the Lanshan 2 and the Zpacks Duplex.. and i love Solo Sarahs channel its great, i’m yet to name any of my tents !
Thanks for the comment🙂👍🏼
Cracking tent mate, videos are quality get better by the week 😊
Wow, someone who hasn't gone for the xmid, bravo 😊
I have had a crux assault tent for years and use it in All weathers. I don't mind single skin tents, I don't see why more people don't use them. I am looking forward to hearing what you have to say about this. 👍
Thanks mate! This is my first single skin tent but i’m liking what i’ve seen so far
That little clip at the end, fucking brilliant.
😂 love a blooper
Another top video mate. Loved it at the start when you jumped into view hahaha proper laughed at that bit. Multi day hike booked?! Scotland, that’s my guess??
Great review! Thanks
Nice tent looks like a Z-Packs, also I think if you bring ur bivvy bag bag with you on your trips it’ll help loads with any condensation
I use a Tramplite DCF tent....made by hand in Tadcaster by Colin Ibbottson. Possibly the most prolific backpacker from the UK in recent years. It's the best shelter I've ever had...and I've had a lot!.... sadly he's not making them anymore ☹️

It’s so like a z pack I like it !
nice vid, nice tent.... cheers
Sweeeeet!!! Tent...expensive though will stick to my lanshan good video brother 👍
Think your going to test it out near Fort William or somewhere up in the Highlands. Oh did you pitch it on some Old Cricket Pitch?
Always worth doing an initial pitch and look around before taking it 100’s of miles away from home 👍🏼
You’ll know about condensation if you hang wet stuff in a single skin mate
Your back garden is massive 😅😅😂😂😂
😂
Better be the West Highland Way brother.
Love the blooper at the end 😂

Its gonna get some hammer.
As a yorkshireman l like your bargaining skill.
Hello, could you tell me where to buy the Delta plugs, as well as if they have a code?
No code but I think I got mine off eBay !
Great job on the review, back to Scotland?
Thank you and 😉 possibly
Nice one Liam.
oh trhat rainbow zip is quite intresting haah! least its better than the lanshan 2 zip limit haha,, but doers look a decent tent though! and i bet its the west highland way :P
This cries out for a ‘compare and contrast with the X-Mid 2 Pro’ video. Can lend you mine Liam if you fancy it?!
can’t wait to see how it copes in wind and rain :) possible anaris budget killer
Idk why someone would buy an anaris not gonna lie
Not gonna lie i’d love an Anaris.. but is it because its worth the money or is it just because its a Hilleberg 😂

Hi Liam, I proper hope you are doing the Cape Wrath! 😀🤞🥾⛰🏕️🏴
Great review mate
Thank you mate
Nice tent 👍
Thank you
Price, puts me off. Multi day trip. Cape Wrath Trail.
does it need seam sealing same as lanshan?
First comment! Gerin!
Heyup. Now then that's a proper tech tent😊. Looked like a bloody ufo after it was pitched👍🏼. F@T😬

“My tent doesn’t look like much but, as an estate agent might say, it is air-conditioned and has an exceptional location.” 🎪🎋🌦
jesus i want this tent
It really is that good 👌🏼
love the crinkle look too@@GoodBlokeOutdoors
Where’s your hat from?
Lake ullswater may 10th - 12th?
Looks well made, but no vents except underneath, mmmmm. Nicely filmed, wireless mic might be helpful for you, though Liam. But we've all done that shouting across the field thing.

Aye it’s a serious bit of kit, hope to get some heavy use out of it.
Man, I understand the clickbait title and picture, but it also hides the video for people looking for actual reviews of the tent, just something to keep in mind ✌️
The Appalachian Trail...

❤️ Thank you
Can you buy the hats?
Hold up, thats where The English Woodsman camped once I think?
Not sure mate but he lives round corner from me so that would make sense 👍🏼
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors Yeah he camped in a bush on that raised up bit :D
I think you’re headed to 🏴 or 🏴?!
Correct 🙂👍🏼
How much is it..?
About £550 (minus import fees, not sure how much that would be)
800 quid and you have to provide your own poles and sounds like a crisp packet? Blimey. :)
It’s a trekking pole tent and aye all dcf material sounds the same. Super strong though 👌🏼
I'm well out of touch in my Decathlon special..had no idea that 'trekking pole tent' was a thing. All good..will be interesting to see how it fares on your next stormy night. Looking forward to it ..cheers
Shame the tent is over £800 😮

Mmm, its a fugly tent, summer maybe, dont bring it to Scotland in winter, you've given your review, of your gift tent spare me...
It’s a beautiful tent Jack 😍
A great tent, but not really the type for our weather. Most people on UA-cam using these are doing the warm trails in the US.
Ah but, Andy Beavers has just bought a DCF X-Mid, and he gets about a bit in all conditions, so watch this space I guess! 😊
That sagging in the middle would drive me crazy 😬
