Maybe Cassidy wrote those 2 questions to keep Michael alive, since we know that the animatronics are powered by strong emotion and since Micheal is in a sort of limbo state of animatronic-ness not really what to call it, Cassidy wrote these questions/statements to remind Michael of the pain he felt killing his brother and the anger he feels towards his father, just a guess though idk.

Exactly.... But still its a weird deviaton from the original. For example, why would they send springtrap as a 'friend' if he is sealed in a wall and forgotten? Thats why i dont realy trust this game for lore purposes.
Theory: Scott is a time traveler in our universe that knows what happened to Chucky cheese and goes back in time to make a game about it, then revealed in the vr game that he was making light of what happened in the line of "those indie games were designed to conceal and make light of what happened". Please notice this * E D I T E D * If you think that the time travel concept is so out of the question think about this. About the ballora story, isnt that exactly how glitchtrap posessed vanny? She kept putting on the headset and glitchtrap got closer and closer as she collected the tapes until in the end it ends up posessing her Also, small mention, but glitchtrap does end up dancing like a ballerina in the ending for the pizza party night in fnaf vr
I always thought the whole Mrs Afton Ballora theory may have been true to an extent. Like maybe William learned the ballet skills from his wife or something.
I think shadow Bonnie might also be glitchtrap IDK it could be why princess Quest is taking place in older locations, and glitchtrap is in those PQ arcade games.
@@name_of_gods8739 well, they’re invisible in the sense that you can’t see them without your phone and some of them are nearly invisible unless you shock them in the game
I think he got the “do you remember your name?” Wrong because I think that Mike is trying to communicate to the crying child almost like a spiritual thing .
I was thinking the same but it might just be a reference to the original books of how the animatronics are able to blend into the world without people noticing, like with Charlie and Circus Baby.
The “do you still remember your name” makes sense because of the FNaF 6 ending. “I’m sorry to interrupt you Elizabeth, if you still even remember that name.”
The TNT Muffin it could be that the book was passed on through generations (William to Elizabeth to Michael to us) as it is kinda geared towards children and that line was geared towards Elizabeth, not Michael. I’m gonna go get my book and maybe see if I can find some lines from the book lighter (meaning they could be older) gimme a sec lol
Another theory maybe since mikes name was crossed out and mike was also taken control of by baby so maybe the book was given to the crying child after he died like as will-iam pun intended. In that case he'd also be controlled by his past friends, therefore they would have recolection of fred bear and his experiences but then again i could be wrong just spit balling.
Maybe the line “Does he still talk to you?” Isn’t about fredbear but about William. Does your dad still talk to you? Is he still mad at you for what you did to your brother. We never really go into how William dealt with the older brother. And perhaps the reason he crossed out his name, he gave the book to his brother, only to take it back after the the crying child’s death.
You'd need some sort of reason to assume it's referring to William though. The page could technically be talking about anyone, but the assumption it's referring to the Fredbear doll is based on the fact that 1.) The Fredbear doll is constantly talking to the crying child and victim, and 2.) He's the only thing on that page, looking at the reader. It's hard to say if it's *actually* referring to the Freddy doll or not, but for now, unless there's more proof first, saying it's referring to William would be a stretch, or just spitballing possibilities.
Hey Matt. This is one of my favorite theories. I was going through my survival log book and I found stuff in the word search. One was a message that said Miss Me. But I think this next thing I found might be shocking. I found the name Pete in the word search as well as the name Sam. Let me know your thoughts.
@@Halalguy512 I found it in the word search. It’s on. The left side of the word guard. The M starts wear the A on guard is in the same row. It’s very much real.
“Do you remember your name?” Afton. The name is Afton. He’s ashamed to be related to his father and has almost forced it out of his head that he could possibly be an Afton or after he got scooped, he forgot that and doesn’t even know that the book is his.
This is old but Pete being an organ donor is parallel to Michael having his body used for enard, he became an organ donor (skin specifically cuz his organs were scooped so enard could fit in)
In all seriousness, Scott could totally expand his worth by opening real pizzaria locations. Like Disney with Disneyland, people would come just to see the real deal. He won't have to say a word either, people would see a "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza" being put together and they would go apesh*t crazy on the internet. He could create new clues inside the pizzeria and it would become a new mine of informations like the books. I think the only problem would be people trying to go inside the staff only area or trying to be locked up in the pizzeria at night to see what's up but it is still manageable.
I think what they should do is basically it’s 2 separate kinds of things you can do there. From about like 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM it’s like what the place would be like during the day. Have recreations of the main band from fnaf 1 singing while people eat pizza. You could even have the arcades as fnaf themed mini games like the ones in fnaf 6 (and use tokens to get like sanshee plushies at the prize counter). Then, 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM (1 hour of breathing time for setting up for the day time). You can book something like what that thing Matpat did. Where it’s a IRL fnaf attraction. Maybe when you book it you can choose a difficult for the night (add reason to do this multiple times) and when you beat certain difficulties you can buy special merch or something. I imagine they would come up with a much better idea but this would be cool.
@@WooperGamerYT I would love to see a sort of system where you are in the main office, and all of the animatronics move around on a track, and the tracks mimic their movement patterns in FNAF. It's certainly an interesting concept to think about. Or possibly wheels on the feet, so they could move around, like on Heelies, but that would take a lot of work, so probably would just be played by real actors for renting out a time frame.
This entire idea makes me think of Omega Mart)) This would be fantastic, exept for the whole "you go to visit it for the horror aspect and have to stay up until SIX AM!!!!"
I know this is random, but I love how the majority of the FNaF fandom follows MatPat, Dawko, and other's theories as the true story. The Game Theorists in particular did a great service to the series and brought the fandom together like no one else could. MatPat is a highly respected and trusted leader of the Five Nights at Freddy's fandom. Thanks for being a part of my childhood.
I completely agree. I’ve been watching MatPat’s theories in this franchise since middle school and I’m still a loyal viewer. I don’t think MatPat gets enough credit for all that he’s given this fandom.
The Bellora hologram that is revealed through the glasses is referring to the FNAF AR game released on mobile! You can see the animatronics unless you are looking through the special device!
... You _can_ see it unless you're looking through the special device, or you _can't_ see it unless you're looking through the special device? Because that's a pretty important distinction.
Theory: -The words in the log book are what Micheal said to the crying child after he got bit. -The spirit is using log book is to mock/remind Micheal of what he did.
I have a comment saying something similar, but that the "its me"s are also michael saying its him who almost killed his brother and announcing he's in the room to the crying child, cause he feel guilty and is trying to be there for him.
@@JC-qt9vd I'm glad I'm not the only one! I thought because I got like 3 likes it was just me, but then again I write essays when i write anything lol. But I think it's odd MatPat has never touched on that in his theories, unless I missed it.
I think the line "Do you remember your name?" is also directed to crying child because his name was never actually mentioned? (Not sure about that but that's my theory)
i JUST realized that the story with bellora getting closer relates to vr. when you collect and listen to the tapes, glitchtrap gets closer. when you get all the tapes, he escapes
I’m thinking that the character in FNAF 4 is Michael. His favorite toy is the purple phone (referring to Michael), does he remember anything after the accident? While in the room we see references to a hospital bed which could be a reference to Pete’s hospitalization. Maybe the mini games are him going in and out out of conciseness and having guilt trips. And if I recall, Foxy is in the closet which could be him being tortured by Foxy. Idk, sounds like a good theory to me.
Is it possible that the questions in the book aren't actually directed AT Michael, but instead directed FROM Michael? We've learned of psychic powers and whatnot - perhaps it's possible that Michael's thoughts and regrets are showing themselves in the logbook, unintentionally? I mean, we see in FNaF 1 that - assuming one of the animatronics is Michael's younger brother - that they can just say thing(s?) at practically any time - why would they steal/haunt his logbook and write questions in it for him that he probably wouldn't even see?
That's what I'm thinking, or what if the crying child is possessing Michael? That might answer why the questions seem to be directed towards the crying child.
Multiple people have said this, but I’m going to repeat it, so there’s a higher chance of Matthew seeing it. Is it possible Cassidy ISNT speaking time Mike, and there are multiple spirits possessing the log-books, who are talking to each other?
Kind of like the Stitch-wraith story in “Step Closer” where (spoilers) it’s revealed that the Stitch-wraith has multiple spirits possessing it? I can see that being a thing with the log-book
Yes, something like that. If I remember my own theories correctly, I thought that one spirit may have written the "faded" text (which Matthew quoted in a video) and another may have changed the typed text (like the pages where "I can't see" and "The party was for me" sentences are. I don't have a Logbook, I try to remember what I saw on the Internet...) These may be two ghosts talking to each other. I wonder why Mike, the one writing the red text, doesn't seem to notice this dialogue at all though... That's what I made up
I just got done rewatching fnaf trailers and I stumbled upon the fnaf ar special delivery trailer, now I guess I have found a great asset to solve your problem with the confusion of ballora and the cardboard glasses. Hear me out so in the fnaf ar special delivery trailer you will see animatronics originally haunting inside of your phone but if you keep watching you will see that the animatronics will manifest in the real world somehow (mayyybe its a ghost thing a.k.a demonic). But anyway if you listen closely you'll hear whats sound like springtrap a.k.a William Afton a.k.a the purple guy say "this is real". So yes it is 2:13am where I live and I just wanted to spend my time rewatching all the fnaf trailers. Shout me out if you find this message helpful and anyway. :)
One theory: the reason that Mike Afton crossed off his name was because he saw the “do you remember your name” and all of a sudden, pairing his memory loss with that message convinced him it wasn’t his real name
Foxy" You can be a pirate, but first You'll need to loose an eye and an arm." Short alchemist and his brother: "We are 4 parallel universes ahead of you!"
5:21 wonder if this is supposed to be prototype tech that later became the V.A.N.N.I. mask 🤔 Ballora approaching closer to the user can represent a "progress bar". The progress being the tech completely taking over the user. It is nice to revisit these old game theory episodes.
Here's my theory: the questions in the logbook aren't to Mike, it's Mike trying to talk to his brother and Cassidy ends up talking to him anyway, also the whole "Golden Freddy may have more than one spirit theory" might refer to Cassidy sharing the suit with the younger brother which would explain Its Me and Golden Freddy having weird pronouns and voices , but that's my thoughts
Clever, may be the truth but im gonna look up fallacies just in case. But ehy would gf be the only one like this? That's a huge question which leads to way more questions
@@tea9532 I.. don't think is referring to that. And I don't like to think he's one of the shadows... especially because if he's one of them, then who is the other? "no one important"?
*The party wasn’t for the crying child* I’m serious, here’s my theory, in most of the fnaf stories have the parents favouring one child over the other. The crying child might’ve been the hated kid and desperate for some attention wanted that party to be for him, he wanted that attention. Notice he doesn’t have any of his own friends at the party but the older brother does? But hey that’s just a theory from a scardy cat whose too scared to play the games themselves!
That actually makes sense, giving if the Midnight Motorist minigame house WAS their house. With Michael in the recliner, and the crying child locking himself in his room in fear of his father beating him.
This actually makes a lot of sense seeing what the kid says to the crying child at 17:13. “Oh wait, you have to go! It’s YOUR birthday! Haha!” The emphasis on the “YOUR” instead of trying to say that it is in fact the crying child’s birthday maybe it’s doing the opposite. Especially since the kid laughs after he says that, almost like it’s a joke. Saying sarcastically, “It’s YOUR birthday lol,” as a joke knowing that it isn’t HIS birthday but his brothers because the crying child doesn’t get as much attention as his older brother does. Nice thinking, kudos to you.
So the line “the party was for you” could be Cassidy reminding Micheal that it was actually his birthday and not his brother’s since he probably forgot who’s birthday it was and just assumed it was his brother’s birthday since he was the one who got killed that day
Could Micheal be referring to the crying child when he’s writing in the book? Like he’s trying to talk with the crying child or golden Freddy through the book.
TriangleTreeTea Well, sometimes when people lose a loved one they’ll write letters to the person they lost as closure. But obviously Micheal doesn’t have closure so he could be trying to help himself accept the crying child’s death. But he could’ve realized Golden Freddy was the one reading the messages and that’s why he asks “do you remember your name?”.
I was actually thinking the same thing! What if Mike WAS Michael, and he wrote those questions in the book himself directed towards the crying child, knowing he was there after seeing "IT'S ME"? I don't know every nook and cranny of the FNAF lore, but it sounds possible..
I was thinking kinda the other way around. What if the child told his older brother at some point about the talking fredbear, and in a vain attempt to connect with is dying brother, he takes his side. He asks his younger brother if the bear still talks. In fact, all of the questions asked could be from Mike to the crying child, though it doesn’t explain why he’d write it down.
NotSoEpic That’s what my comment was about, maybe it’s a conversation between him and his brother. Somehow he was getting responses from the questions he was writing
Excuse Me but a Major detail was missed. There are 2 Spirits in the Logbook. Cassidy & The Crying Child. Those faded questions are not directed at Michael. Please someone somehow point out this missed detail to MatPat.
@Under_Score O hey! I’m a fan of your vids and Idk if you saw my comment (it has over 300 likes as of now), but I think that it is possible that William extracted remnant from CC after the bite and used it in the scooper in SL, having both CC and foxy Bro in the body of Michael. I believe this theory because it explains why in the lonely Freddy story and this story that the personalities of CC and foxy bro are mixed. But I do believe because it was through remnant that brought CC into Michael that CC still exists as shadow Freddy simultaneously, which explains how Cassidy is speaking through CC in the logbook. But Matpat did seem a little confused in this vid because of the plot holes that exist of Michael was only foxy Bro, but at least now things are clearing up.
My theory: Those questions aren't for Michael. Maybe michael wrote Those questions for his younger brother after the bite that killed him. He wanted answers. He wanted to know if his younger brother was still with him. And he just erased them because it would have looked insane if anyone saw that book. Thats why the letters are so jagged. He was upset when he wrote them. He was crying. Angry with himself. Eventually he would go off to find out more of his fathers work. Turning him into one of the now 2 purple aftons. Mini theory: or perhaps the writing is some animatronic messing with Michael. (This would be less likely sense we haven't seen any animatronic that has a writing program) Edit: matpat if you see this. I have been trying to keep up with EVERY fnaf video you made. I thank you for helping the community figure out scotts mind twisting gut wrenching stroys. You are a treasure. Thank you.
"Invisible animatronics aren't really a thing yet." Fnaf AR: am I a joke to you? Edit: someone in the replies said something about glitchtrap and I think they're on to something. Ballora slowly got closer until eventually body-swapping with the kid, much like how glitchtrap slowly got closer until eventually body-swapping with us in FNAF VR. I believe this is scott telling us that the body-swap ending of FNAF VR is the true ending.
It is now my headcanon until proven otherwise that fnaf ar is people after visiting fazbears or pizza world using glasses and preparing flashlights and tazers to defend themselves
I Always thought that the line "an empty tomb" was not an reference to the empty room of her deceased daughter but if Elizabeth was killed by Baby probably there wasn't a body to bury, because it would incriminate William about his participation in her death But that's just a theory
I would agree but that also brings into question whether Ballora was built before or after the opening of the restaurant (and inevitable death of Elizabeth) if Matpat's theory about Ballora being built to represent Mrs. Afton is true. Then again maybe Ballora was created not thinking of Mrs. Afton at all and she just processed it later. Its hard to say (or maybe its none of the above because fnaf lore)
MatPat, The holographic animatronics DO exist, remember the small sticks on the Funtime animatronics, which manipulate vision, ballora, who is a Funtime animatronic, can make people believe she is not there via sound waves. Also this explains why she can move the leaves. *HELP MAKE MATPAT SEE THIS*
I was thinking that it was connecting to glitchtrap. First, the glasses represent the VR headset, you can only see him when you have it on. Second, as you progress and collect more tapes, he becomes clearer and gets closer. Ballora also does this, as the days go on, Ballora becomes clearer and gets closer (the text also describes how she could see ballora clearer as she got closer, like with glitchtrap). But after the connection is made, we’d have to find the purpose, why have this story? Well as MattPat talked about mothers, a certain female character popped into my mind. The only adult female to be mentioned, the protagonist of Fnaf 8. Perhaps she is the wife of Henry or William, trying to finish what they had started.
Maybe the glasses from Dance with me act similar to Roxy’s eyes? Revealing things that would otherwise be invisible to robots… which means, perhaps the main character of that story is secretly a robot?!
Ok but like why is nobody talking about how cool it would be if MatPats idea for Chuck E. Cheese actually happened Edit: so apparently it was Dawko’s idea so credits to him because that’s so dope
Theory: the Survival Log actually belonged to both brothers. Mike originally got it, and it was passed down to CC shortly before his death, hence why it has info pertaining to mike but Cassidy is talking to CC through the book.
This is actually super reasonable. We need to consider being told in the start of the book, at the name page, that we are reading it from the perspective of the second person to own it- the crying child. hmm.........
I actually thought the same thing. It would explain why Mike’s name was crossed out as well, because CC owned the book after him. It could also even explain why the word security was crossed out and replaced by survival. Mike could’ve been playing a prank on his brother again and convinced one way or another he needed to hold on to the book.
Holographs that interact with real world and are visible with special lenses are now relevant. And they even only interact with the real world when they visible through their lenses.
I feel like the line "does he still talk to you?" Could refer to the crying child- like a "does your little brother still talk to you after what you did to him" kind of thing...
I always believed that those questions “do you remember your name?” “what do you remember” etc, were questions mike had specifically written down. If he found that the spirit of his younger brother that he was trying to help was communicating with him in some way (golden freddie, the spirit of the book, whatever) that they were questions for the crying child. “do you remember your name?” asking the crying child how much of him he actually has left now that he’s done. “was your favorite childhood toy the purple telephone?” trying to connect this spirit to the crying child and figure out if it’s really him. “the party was for you” trying to remind him of what happened and the fact that he’s sorry for what he did and that he wants to help. That’s just how i’ve viewed it.
is it possible that Michael Afton because he as the foxy bro caused the death of his brother and thinking about him so much caused him to develop DID (Dissociative identity disorder) to the point where he actually thinks he is the crying child. apparently you can have personality of real person as somebodys dissociative identity if the trauma of the person with the disorder is connected with them
Here's my dumb little theory: What if, after William lost his daughter, he created some robots to fill the void? Maybe, some sons. And, just like Henry with Charlie in the books, filled them with artificial memories and he had multiple builds so they could go through life. Now, maybe the two brother's memories got mixed up somehow when switching Mike to the next version of himself because maybe William erased the memory of his brother getting chomped but he came across those memories again? Maybe that's what he forgot? I know there's a lot of holes but I'm just trying to toss in my poorly thought out two cents.
Well, as much as we’d all love a real Fnaf pizzeria, we all know there will be somebody who will try to recreate the horrific events of the missing children’s incident, I remember seeing something like this from Scott once
Here’s a theory: Matpat has to keep making all of these theory’s because he is being held against his will by Scott Cawthon, so Scott Cawthon can keep FNAF relevant while he is working on the FNAF franchise. I know what’s happening Matpat. We are sending help
the spirits talk to each other in this book, with cassidy (the crying child) talking via altering the physical text of the book, and the one Afton should not have killed writing in faded ink.

About the ballora story, isnt that exactly how glitchtrap posessed vanny? She kept putting on the headset and glitchtrap got closer and closer as she collected the tapes until in the end it ends up posessing her
Also, small mention, but glitchtrap does end up dancing like a ballerina in the ending for the pizza party night in fnaf vr

I was thinking the same but it might just be a reference to the original books of how the animatronics are able to blend into the world without people noticing, like with Charlie and Circus Baby.
Yeeessss I was thinking to myself “Huh!?!?!” Soo we just going to ignore Fnaf A.R. and it’s Animstealth animatronics
The “do you still remember your name” makes sense because of the FNaF 6 ending. “I’m sorry to interrupt you Elizabeth, if you still even remember that name.”
Maybe... idk.
Or maybe the spirits/victims forget their names as time passes by? It could be a thing.
I have not played any of the games because i am to scared but looking into things like these ,that is what i like to do
Another theory maybe since mikes name was crossed out and mike was also taken control of by baby so maybe the book was given to the crying child after he died like as will-iam pun intended.
No
@@keithragin89 Yes
Omg maybe.

Indi oML u get it cuz the crying child is Chris I’m glad u agree that it’s chris

Yes, something like that.

*The party wasn’t for the crying child*
I’m serious, here’s my theory, in most of the fnaf stories have the parents favouring one child over the other.
Something else that could fit is if the brothers shared a birth date
One of the kids outside during the fnaf mini game says to the crying child that “it’s your birthday party”
CRYING CHILD IS NOT GOLDEN ITS CASSIDY
Shaunna Ennis Jesus, okay I’m sorry. It’s meant to be like the crying child or golden Freddy. I didn’t mean to make them the same person.
Are you saying that he expected the crying child to read it?
Just an idea, but what if the line “Does he still talk to you?” is actually psychic friend fredbear talking to Mike about the crying child?
That's exactly what I first thought before Mat finished the sentence.
I mean once crying child dies, what happens to psychcic friend fred bear
Dose he start talking to foxy bro
Woa
NotSoEpic That’s what my comment was about, maybe it’s a conversation between him and his brother. Somehow he was getting responses from the questions he was writing
“I’m retired guys. Sorry.”
*Lets motivate him with a controlled shock.*

And well...the phantoms can interact with physical objects.Well , the Ventilation isn't breaking just becouse it's feeling like doing so.

I Always thought that the line "an empty tomb" was not an reference to the empty room of her deceased daughter but if Elizabeth was killed by Baby probably there wasn't a body to bury, because it would incriminate William about his participation in her death
But that's just a theory
a game theory
@@somebodyig624 😏
Thanks for reading
A GAME THEORY!
This poor man, he’s spent 6 years trying to solve this.
also, Flip My Pizzeria is something I would actually watch.

MatPat, The holographic animatronics DO exist, remember the small sticks on the Funtime animatronics, which manipulate vision, ballora, who is a Funtime animatronic, can make people believe she is not there via sound waves. Also this explains why she can move the leaves. *HELP MAKE MATPAT SEE THIS*
Ye aight
And all i was thinking was the fnaf ar animatronics. This makes more sense
yes
But how would the cardboard glasses make you see her
Maybe the glasses from Dance with me act similar to Roxy’s eyes? Revealing things that would otherwise be invisible to robots… which means, perhaps the main character of that story is secretly a robot?!
I feel like this series is just that picture of the dad and the kid playing uno but Scott is the dad with all the +4's
Scott: *plays “find out identity of **_____** correctly or draw 25” card*

Theory: the Survival Log actually belonged to both brothers. Mike originally got it, and it was passed down to CC shortly before his death, hence why it has info pertaining to mike but Cassidy is talking to CC through the book.
@DKylis Crying Child
@DKylis :)
Holographs that interact with real world and are visible with special lenses are now relevant. And they even only interact with the real world when they visible through their lenses.
I feel like the line "does he still talk to you?" Could refer to the crying child- like a "does your little brother still talk to you after what you did to him" kind of thing...

Food theory came out 4 years ago!!?? That's crazy
Yes, this makes a lot of sense.
Freddy btw and yeah
N.fredbear that is drawn inside the logbook:are you sure about that?
Cool but its faded which makes it sound like a spirit saying it

What? Shouldn't it be where?
is it possible that Michael Afton because he as the foxy bro caused the death of his brother and thinking about him so much caused him to develop DID (Dissociative identity disorder) to the point where he actually thinks he is the crying child. apparently you can have personality of real person as somebodys dissociative identity if the trauma of the person with the disorder is connected with them

I think that would make a good finale to the new book series a man loses kids and goes mad
That would be very interesting
This is not dumb , this is pretty interesting
Isn’t that what he did with Michael
Ok idk about you, but I definitely think MatPat should see this. It’s really interesting

Well, as much as we’d all love a real Fnaf pizzeria, we all know there will be somebody who will try to recreate the horrific events of the missing children’s incident, I remember seeing something like this from Scott once
Matpat the "ghost" IS Michael. He's talking to his brother through the book. He writes in red pen. Or pencil crayon. The faded text is red.
