Many thanks, my T450 had trackpad and trackball already enabled in the bios but the trackpad wasn't working. The fix was to disable both, the save the bios, then enable both and save again.
1. Go to exit tab in bios 2. Reset to default settings. 3. Now save changes and exit Had the same problem with different lenova bios. Followed these steps fixed my touchpad (credit to chatgpt)
Everyone listen up i found a way... first go device manager go view and select show hidden thingies and then you go on human interactive thing and update all drivers and go on mice and pointers and update all drivers then its done if u want u can restart it but not rlly needed

Could not find those option on the Bios set up. Using l530. Cant select or click with my trackpad but i can move the cursor around. External mouse is working perfectly tho

The BIOS on a thinkpad is totally different than most other lenovo laptops. There are no settings for the synaptics touchpad on an ideapad.
1. Go to exit tab in bios
2. Reset to default settings.
3. Now save changes and exit

if i spam enter is says "failed to load windows" and i can choose between different options... but its completely different from the video
