im joking tho, take as much time as you need, i know life can happen. i started watching your videos when first learning puredata and now i’m thinking about going for a post grad degree in music technology, so thank you so much for being a big stepping stone in my development. keep up the good work and take care!!
Hahaha, noooooo. Has it been that long? I actually did finish writing a script for the next video recently, so it won't be too long! I certainly want to make more videos for this channel than last year.
Woah, that's awesome!! It really means a lot to hear that these videos played such a role in your life. Best of luck and you take care as well!! Please feel free to keep me posted :)
Brilliant, I've had Andy Farnell's book since it came out. I am really looking forward to new episodes in this series. Cheers.
I'm glad to hear that! And yeah, Farnell's book is really great!!
really missing your vids, hope to hear more about sound design from you soon
Thank you for waiting :)
It's like you read my mind, I was talking about your Max MSP sound design video just yesterday with my students hah
Ah that's awesome!!

Thanks so much!! 🙏🙏
Excellent tutorial. Worth the wait!
Thank you so much! I'm relieved to hear that as I was a bit nervous coming back after the hiatus.
Brilliant! Thank you for the book recommendation too! 😎
Glad to hear that this vid got you interested in that book!
Great video, I really appreciate your channel!
Thank you so much! I hope to upload more consistently moving forward!
Really looking forward to this series. I will be following along with some young school students who have been game designing in Scratch and hopefully will engage with sound design to add another layer to their projects. Thanks.
Ah that sounds amazing! Well, more reason for me to continue this series then :)
I try to keep my videos PG for this very reason!
Examples like that, show as building a patch could be like the construction of a little poem.
Thank you for your lessons, they are really helpful in studying physics of sound and sound design. I was waiting for new lessons with resynthesis an here they are! Great work!
Glad to hear that! Yes, it's really helpful to know the physics of how a certain sound is created in order to re-synthesize it!
Fascinating! I just bough Bitwig and (being a bit nerdy) got curious about PureData and Max also. Perhaps you could do a comparison video between Bitwig and the "hardcore" programs?
I keep hearing great things about Bitwig's the Grid, so I have been wanting to try it out. Comparison video could be fun!
Interesting that the PD version at the end sounded a bit more realistic to my ears.
Yeah! Now that I re-listened to it after half a year, I do think the Pure Data version sounds way better than I initially thought :)
Good stuff 👍 Looking forward for the next part. Currently I'm learning synthesis in sound design context. Synthesising wind, water, fire etc.
Nice! It's a really great way to improve sound design skills.
I hope you find the future tutorials helpful!
You're BACK 🔥🔥🔥
YESSS 🔥
Thanks for sharing
You're welcome! I hope you find it helpful.
Wowser!
🙌
Wowsers…
Thank you!
hey, do you think you could make the sound of a jet engine flying overhead?
I could try, but I don't wanna guarantee anything. Doing a vid on doppler effect could be fun tho!
Thank you, very nice tutorial. I am using the book in my audio programming course ... so I think I am going to show your solution to the students.
Designing sounds is 😊
That would be amazing! I hope they find it helpful.
It is indeed a really good book.
my seed will be on fire😂
🔥🔥🔥🔥
its almost been 7 months!
...soon...
I've been studying Pure Date since watching your video. When I start the saved file, the audio I put in the ARRAY disappears, which is a problem. Is there any solution?
Can you please do a pocket piano patch tutorial, there are none anywhere
Are you referring to the Critter & Guitari Pocket Piano? I don't have one so I can't really do a tutorial on it.
So happy to finally see this series! Your videos helped me a lot learning Puredata!🫡❤
I'm glad to see this series start too! Thank you for watching my tutorials! I hope you're having fun with Pure Data so far.
hey man, i need an step drum sequencer for novation launchkey 49 that works with multiple samples in ableton drum rack. Can you contact me?
Is there a way to change the color of pure data?
I don't think so with vanilla pure data. You can with plugdata! I should start using it more in my videos.
