i basically owe Jack Antonoff my entire life - not only did he produce some of my absolute favorite records (melodrama, 1989 etc) but I cannot explain the feeling I get screaming along to i wanna get better at the top of my lungs, and don't take the money (esp the live version w lorde) always, always rips my heart out. It's so great seeing Jack being appreciated for his own, solo work as well and not just for his work with all the major pop girlies (i say this fully loving all his work with said pop girlies lol) Once again, thank you both for your insightful, openminded, and clever commentary, it's always such a joy to watch!!
I feel like this album was so ahead of it's time when it first came out. Outside of 'I Wanna Get Better' being pretty acclaimed. the album itself received a pretty mixed response which baffled me back then. Seeing it get it's flowers as the years have gone on feels so right
Bleachers is solid gold. I actually have Ryan to thank for getting me into them. I love how everything they do feels like Bruce Springsteen from the future.
Yay! It's really interesting to listen to some Taylor Swift after hearing this album because of Jack's unique production style. As Zach said during this, he uses distortion in an interesting way through much of his work and I hear that much more now. Thanks again for listening along with us 😊
i’m so happy to discover this channel and soon find out that you guys react to bleachers as well. please do more bleachers reaction!!! i think you guys are gonna like chinatown ft. bruce 🤩
bleachers and jack are so good! thank you for covering this. such a good album! would be cool if you also did Gone Now or their latest album with bruce springsteen feat or maybe even jack’s Red Hearse project, it’s super cool, great sound.
Awesome! I plan on showing Zach more Bleachers! He actually showed me Lana's Norman F-ing Rockwell last night which was produced by Jack and it was interesting to hear a different side of him. Appreciate you listening with us! -Ryan
