I'm a proud owner of both Freislands and prouder to say I'm happy to see more dutch representation because i have Dutch ancestry. Both are super fun to play and when i noticed Friesland had a faster firing rate than Groningen i made Friesland my gun boat (full gun build) and Groningen my AA platform(full AA build) Great videos keep them up
I don't have Friesland myself, so I decided to open a single crate on my personal account. Well, I got lucky... now I just need a Dutch commander. Hope I'm not butchering the names too badly.
@@FunandGameswithTerry tbh i don't even know how to pronounce some Dutch stuff, i was told Dutch was drunken German lol. i adopted my play style for Groningen and Freisland from Colbert and from the mainline German dds (not the scout cruisers). I treated the smoke as optional since well if watching world of warships PC version has taught me anything it's that smoke screens are torpedo and bullet magnets. There is one other thing I've noticed playing either Friesland or Groningen, it's that players tend not to notice or make either one of these a priority or just simply ignore these dds. I think it's because they don't have torps and there for gives the illusion of less of a threat or not enough experience in dealing with them or haven't encountered them.
Whenever I hear Dutch, I think that I can almost (but not quite) understand it. You've got a point with the lack of torps. These ships are most dangerous over time, or at certain positions, as well as mobile AA platforms. I make a point, when playing CA like Hindenburg, to nuke Frieslands out of their smoke
I’ve faced her once and Ngl, I love to fight this over a Friesland, just because there’s no smokes. But she was the second class ship built but not going to gamble for it
Harder to play than Friesland, but honestly, I find Friesland a bit boring, just camping smoke and spamming. So for me, I'd say harder, but more entertaining
I like anything with good AA because I hate CV’s. That being said this boat is definitely not the firesland. I actually like playing it but they most definitely need to buff the air strikes cooldown and definitely need to add another strike if not 2.
Maybe the reason I enjoy playing this is because I'm playing effectively like a support cruiser. Having a second strike, or aligning it with the T9 CA, would certainly help with damage output.
While I get that WG wants to keep spamming new ships- I do admit to having a bit of a dislike for the inclusion of postwar ships. I just hope it never goes off the rails and we have things like Missouri(1990)... Not that hiding at the map edge where all the gold is hidden and doing TLAM and Harpoon strikes wouldnt be useful, LOL, but thats for other games, thank you!!🤣
You've seen the space camo that makes it look like a modern destroyer? I'm not a fan of that, either, but we've got a couple of postwar ships, like Mino, the various project 68 class cruisers, ...
I think Wargaming doesn't want another Friesland, so instead of nerfing, they add a weaker sister ship......I think a Rapid Reload would be better than an Engine Boost. I think I remember seeing Wargaming trying to add a EU Cruiser Line, but things changed and they added the Netherlands Line instead, instead of moving Friesland over (commander issues) they added a sister ship and take Friesland out of the market.
I'm not sure, I think I'd keep the engine boost. Having to play out in the open, and she's not really that quick to begin with, having a boost can get you out of a tight spot

Thank you ❤
Have a good vacation
Honestly, I would love to get that ship in a bundle
But due to the situation, we’ll see what will happen in future😊

Pew pew!
I think slai said that but I completely agree with him lol
Have you done a review of t-61?
Not yet, but it's on my list

I have Friesland. Not planning to get this ship. I love Fries, shes a better gunboat. Lol.

[STEER] VERMONT is my friend.
how did you get ze dutch port? 😅
No idea, it was just added to the press account, so I can't really tell where you'd get it normally
you get ports by unlocking the t6 of the nation
it’s oki, it just looked cool😄
Thats really a cruiser camo
Well, I play her like a light cruiser, so I guess it works out 😁
oh god no another dakka bote
With Dutch air care packages in the mix, but no smoke, so easier to kill if they don't know what they're doing
So a even more powerful Friesland. YES
Weeeeell, not necessarily. The lack of smoke really makes her more challenging to play, but also more fun imo. You have to get creative sometimes.
@@FunandGameswithTerry true. But still it seems like a fun ship
Absolutely. From testing, I actually prefer this one. I get bored easily just sitting in a smoke and spamming
@@FunandGameswithTerry honestly I do get bored smoke firing

The bombs defenetily should do more damage if wargaming doesnt give this ship torps
