    Do you know if the ninja Woodfire Grill cast-iron inserts fit in the oven?

  • @vacation_generation

    Great video. Just bought a ninja outdoor oven in UK and intend to cook a beautiful ribeye on the bone (as my first meal). Great location there looks fantastic. We own a caravan here in UK and take it to Spain each year in summer, going via channel tunnel and through France (love a road trip). Think I'd better order one of those cast iron griddle plates from Amazon 🤣 want that nice crust and medium rare insides. Been looking at American style 5th wheels too, but our roads and camp sites in UK not particularly cut out for them.

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  8 місяців тому

      Hi I just subbed to our channel-hope to see more vids on your travels. I love Spain! I actually met and helped a couple from Barcelona up on Lone rock beaching Utah-they were so stuck in the sand -bit of a language barrier but was able to extract them. hey check out my other channel where I travel around the US-So Why Don't You.
      Cast iron gives a nice and well better char than using the enclosed pan-tried it both ways and cast is the winner.
      And yes the 5th wheels are huge! I wouldn't want to have to tow one or back it up. I have a little e19 foot geo pro camper.

    Found this because I just bought the oven . . .but I want a Gladiator. . . how do you like it and how does it tow for you?

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  8 місяців тому +1

      lol. this oven is awesome! I have the diesel gladiator and my brother has the Gas sport S with tow package. After driving them both I prefer the diesel due to more power. but with both of them I still had to install the air bags in coils to even out the ride. You also have to install a trailer brake which goes into the 12 volt cig lighter or you can do a different one.
      they do tow about the same but like I said I like the diesel. But diesel will cost more for maintenance. Oil change is 300 but I will start doing that myself soon.-not hard just a bit dirty.
      And you should be able to pick up a gladiator for a decent price the red sport was right around 40,000.
      I should do a vid and tow my 19 foot trailer using both trucks. hope this helps

    Hi Lisa.
    Lovely campsite and views.
    I didn't realise just how small the capacity of the oven is untill you put the cast iron griddle in it. Yes the double griddle would be better for a single steak as you could flip the steak onto the the other half of the griddle for an even searing. If you get what I mean? 🤔
    Great looking steak btw. One thing about cooking a steak, the resting period is longer than the cooking time. But not if you're a caveman 😛
    When will ninja include silicone gloves and or a grab handle with their products? We pay enough for them!!
    I got fed up with burning my forearm on the edge of the Smartlid pot, so I cut off the top of a cheap silicone rubber glove and pull that on to cover my wrist and forearm. Works a treat. No more burns.
    What are you using as a power source to run the campsite and oven?
    I hope you're enjoying the great outdoors while on assignment.
    Cheers Lisa 👍🤤😀

    • @pressurecrisp
      @pressurecrisp  Рік тому +1

      Hi John, you are my thinker-I know exactly what you mean the other side would of matched if I had the larger cast iron-flip it right on the hot side.
      Yeah my father was doing the same thing burning his forearms so I got him a grill-so much better for him. You have to go on Shark Tank for your silicone forearm idea :)
      I have full hookups sort of-they have a 15 amp power cord coming to my RV where the huge 5th wheel has 50 AMP hookups. So I have gotten creative as I can't run the AC, hot water tank and hair dryer all at t he same time lol. It's been a learning curve but wouldn't trade it (I haven't complained) its so quiet, lots of wildlife so I'm actually enjoying the hilltop. Plus I' close to off-road trails-lol. there is a 60 mile dirt road I want to do -very soon.
      Thanks John

    • @johndavis7944
      @johndavis7944 Рік тому +1

      @@pressurecrisp You certainly have it made for the time being. I can imagine the wildlife, especially at night.
      What was that?
      It's good you're coping with the available power.
      We live in a 'Plug In' world of gadgets.
      Shark Tank you say?
      Now there's an idea!
      But I absolutely loathe tv reality shows. If there's one thing that really gets my goat, it's competition! A world where everyone is created equal we're supposed to compete against each other for good, better, best.
      It's a great idea, so just cut the crap and give me the money and we'll call it quits.
      Thanks for the thought though. You never know, there may be a market for forearm wrist heat protection.
      Have you ever looked at one of those Chinese product catalogues?
      I cannot believe some of the stuff people have ideas for. A shark tank full of tiddlers.. Lol hahaha 😂
