- Today we're making Pork Butt (Pulled Pork) in the Ninja Woodfire Outdoor Oven.
This is a simple recipe that takes very little prep time and comes out perfect every time and easy to pul every time. We are cooking this on the smoker setting at 235F. Wrapped after 5 hours and bumped the temperature up to 250F and continued cooking. We are looking for a 200F internal temperature. This took right at 9.5 hours. Low and Slow baby.
Ingredients:
Pork Shoulder
Mustard (or some type of binder)
Pork Dry Rub (or your favorite blend of seasonings)
Apple Cider Vinegar/Apple Juice/ Water to add to the pan for moisture.
Butcher Paper to wrap.

Just got this woodfire oven and i really like it but i need recipes. I'm glad i found you! Subscribed
Hi! Thanks for the support. I am working on bringing new recipes for the oven but I wanted to let you know that most of the recipes that I have for the Ninja Outdoor Grill can be used in the oven, since they have similar units and cooking features, so feel free to check out those recipes too :)
@@KennasKitchen You're welcome. Awesome! I see a lot of recipes out there for the grill so I'm glad to hear that. Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks for sharing! I'm new to the Ninja Woodfire but love it so far. It's so nice to be able to smoke something small and not have to make a whole weekend out of it like I'm used to!
Yes, thats one of the reasons I love this device. You can't normally smoke things during the week because you dont have the time!
Fill smoke pellets one time or multiple time.
First use and first smoke on the Ninja woodfired pizza oven
9 pound pork butt
about a 10 - 12 hour cook
Thanks for sharing - let ya kown how it came out
Just once. I know people do refill them, but I dont and dont feel the need too. The food is smoky enough.
Thanks a million for sharing this process. I’ve only used the wfo for pizzas and had it for months. Been wanting to use it beyond pizza.
Glad it was helpful! Anything else you've been wanting to cook in the oven. Im looking for video inspiration :)
Looks delicious
This was a amazing cook Kenna! Don’t have the oven but I definitely will try this on the outdoor grill soon. Thanks for posting , delicious and very entertaining as always! Cheers 🥂
Yeah you can do this recipe on anything that holds a steady temp! Thanks for watching!
That looks great
Thanks!
Wondering if you used more than one round of smoke pellets? And if you replenished the liquid in the bottom pan. Thanks
I only used 1 round of pellets and I didn’t have to refill on this cook, but if it were to run dry before I wrapped it I would have poured more water in.
That looks great. I am leary about long cooks with high fat foods. Have you ever had to drain grease mid cook. If so how would you do that.
Thanks! I have not. The grease tray is rather large, and haven't had any issues yet with grease overspill. And if I had to Drain grease mid cook I would probably just make a little tin foil oil pan and slide it under there while im draining the grease. Id pour the grease just in a large cup and once it congeals and cools down, scoop it into the trash. Hope that helps!
I normally smoke with Bradley; Just got 7:26 the ninja oven. Doing my first smoke in the ninja woodfire oven: Pork butt 9 lbs. aprox 10 hours.
Normally I time the smoked meat for the day we are eating it: Bradley or Charcoal smokers. This time I am doing the day before. New to ninja woodfire oven.
Questions: When its done - after rest period - do I pull it, then refriderate, then heat up this next day? or Do I leave it whole, no pull, then next dau , reheat, then pull?
You should pull it right after the rest period. Don’t let it get cold before you pull it. Then reheat what you want to eat or the whole thing when you’re ready to eat it. Ideally it’s ready to eat right after the rest period.
❤❤❤❤❤
I don’t see what settings you used on the knobs ? Did you use pellets? After you wrapped it was the oven still cooking it? Or was it just sitting in there coming up to temp? Thanks!
I used pellets, I wrapped it and the oven was still cooking until the internal temp hit what I was looking for! And I used the smoker setting on the knobs!
Left knob on Smoker setting
