You've changed my perspective on light played/damaged singles. You're one of the few in this space that really goes in depth and personal and delivers the raw information on selling pokemon cards. thank you for your time, genuinely appreciated.

Hey Steve. When you do your large auction blocks, is there a particular type of card you tend to auction? I've done auction blocks for my store in the past and am going to start doing more. Typically I auction cards with low grades, or very common modern cards so that my BIN listings sustain a higher quality. Or so goes my thought process, anyway. Does this seem logical or silly to you? Please beat me up or praise me how you please, my skin is thick like the fat on a Mamoswine. Thanks.

Hi Steve, in February this year I started selling graded cards on eBay UK on a more “serious basis”, and I’d like to grow it into a larger business. In the first few months my sales were pretty consistent, however in the last couple of months sales have just stagnated. I maybe sell 1-2 cards every 2 weeks, even after listing more cards and lowering prices across the board. I only have around 150 cards listed, but I’m waiting on another 100 coming back from PSA. I sell both English & JP, from all eras. All my listings are BIN or best offer. I understand I’m very early on in the business, so maybe I just need to be patient and keep building my inventory. I wondered what advice you’d have for attracting more sales, for example should I do more auctions and be more willing to take a loss on some cards? Should I branch out into cheaper modern cards to have a bigger inventory for lower cost? I’m very capital limited at the moment, so maybe that’s my biggest problem! Thank you in advance and appreciate all your content. Josh

Hopefully I’m not too late for the next vid: do you think the new Japanese detective pikachu promos will be released in English? They’re tied up in the game prerelease in Japan and confirmed not for the English game as a promo and although the Arceus V promo was similarly a Japanese preorder and then came to English it seems odd to me that Pokémon would bring the detective pikachu to English at a later date without it being tied up in a detective pikachu product….? The reason I ask is that arceus v psa 10s are now only £40 in Japanese…do you think similar will happen with this game promo? (Sell now and rebuy later being the strategy?)

Question for the next episode of ask Steve: I’ve heard about what your opinions are on the psa vault/collectors vault in a past video, and I agree that it’s very useful when you change addresses or simply to get the return shipping for lower. But I want to know your thoughts on the eBay vault? Would you consider ever sending your stuff there to either get good guaranteed protection and save on space, to technically ship out a card instantly, or to get lower selling fees since your primary market is eBay itself. And is it a better alternative for storing your cards and selling them easily since I believe eBay has a larger userbase than Goldin (which is what the psa vault uses). Thanks so much, your videos are very addictive to watch since you’re so great lol

Graded cards can turn $100 cards into $600 cards, and selling gem mint raw does not equal PSA 10 / BGS 10 prices.. thats why we grade cards, but it also works for mass small stuff too, some people enjoy different things , and its ok =]

Great videos, your wisdoms really appreciated it's helpful 👍
Glad you like them!
How do you remember the amount you bought a card for after you grade it and then list it? Considering it takes a few months to grade and you deal with thousands of cards I’m sure that can get hard to keep track. Not sure if this makes sense or not haha. Love the videos !

Q: I have been trying to sell a CGC gem mint 10 card for weeks, the whole time seeing PSA gem mint 10 cards with worse centering and visible edge wear sell for hundreds more than my asking price. Why is the world like this? Do you ever see it changing? Should I just cross it?
