The only presentation that has clear images to represent the step-by-step stages and the finished connection; all admirably demonstrated. Thank you. I'm actually wiring a prototype high-end home hi-fi stereo loudspeaker system with brass spade connectors: avoiding soldered joints which clearly add unwanted noise to the treble. Brass, like copper, has superior signal transfer with minimal pick-up of noise at the contacts.
Thanks!
Loved that even though I can't see clearly the gages of the tool and how it works on front wings. Maybe closer view and some explanation on how it bends the front wings will be a better help, although this video's already helped me a lot, thank you.
Whitney, by watching your tutorial I was actually able to use the wire cutters you used to strip the wires to actually crimp the connectors! That's all I had and they came through in a PINCH! (sorry-not-sorry, been a Dad for a long time now). Also... NICE FRIGGIN ROCK!
Thank you. Needed a refresher after about twenty years. Nice and clear, no nonsense 👍
Thank you from Scotland.
You are very welcome!
Good job with your straight-forward and clear presentation.
Thank You!!! Straight-fordward and Exactly what I was looking for. WIsh I had found this about two hours and one grown-man-tantrum ago. Haha. Thank You Again!!
Thanks for the great instructions! I just ordered new fog light plugs for my WRX. I would have had everything torn apart without realizing that there's a specific crimping tool required. 😅
Thank you for the little video!! Just submitted a order for the blue handled tool. Going to be doing some wiring this weekend
Impressive wire stash!
Thank you for the little video. Just submitted an order for the blue handled tool off the website. Be doing some wiring this weekend.
Glad we could help :)
thanks for this, great vid. those with a 2015+ yamaha R1 have to dig to find the MT .090 connector, hidden under a body panel beneath the left clipon. then to connect whatever you're wanting accessory power for, you have to.. do this shit. didn't wanna be that guy that just jim-bob's everything together just any old random way..
Good logical step by steps and clear commentary but could have done with closer closeups and the camera holding the close-up for a tad longer so I could see exactly what had been done at each step.
You do know you can pause the video and make it full screen, right?
Thank you so much! Great video.
Great video. Only tweak I would offer would be to put the seals on before stripping the wire. Easier to thread on.
We like to strip first since there isn't always enough room to put the seal far enough back on the wiring harness to then strip it :) Appreciate the compliment on the video!
@@iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538 I understand that completely. Been there done that have the finger cuts in working in tight spaces.
Good demonstration very professionally done 👍
great informative video.
Great explanation and demo.
@Nova Darwin How does this relate to the video clip? Have you been reported to UA-cam yet?
Thanks for this
So many crimper & crimps available now it's difficult to know which to purchase & stock especially when manufacturers use different methods, tools & shapes.
Exactly the issue im having right now
This was helpful. 👍
Ty!❤
Thanks!
Hi what type of crimping pliers to use for the pins of hm 090? Thanks
You can use the crimpers we sell for that terminal.
great video, now show us how to do this under a car ,standing on your head with wires you can barley reach with arms fully extended lol
Do you have a video of how to change a terminal ?
Only what is covered in the video above.
Can I crimp it with a regular stripper/crimping tool?
Yup :)
Do the WRX green test connector under steering wheel go bad? I think mines is bad. I was flashing my 02 WRX recently a lot and all of a sudden I can't flash it no more. Can't get the car into test mode at all. Still able to go onto ecuflash and able to click on read/ write icons but can't do either one cause car can't go into test mode.
Hi Tom, there are a few variables for why test mode is not working but bad connectors could definitely be the problem.
@@iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538 I'm not sure what to do at the moment. What do you think I should do?
@@tomvang18able I'd recommend taking it to a local shop for diagnosis
@@iwiresubaruwiringsolutions5538 is this something I can do myself or better to just take to a local shop?
@@tomvang18able I'd recommend a shop in this case since you're not quite sure what the issue is being caused by. If you know it's a bad connector, then the replacement of just the connector is easy and can be done at home.
How to take it off?😢
