FYI Sam, the members of a king’s (or queen’s) court would be “courtiers”. Courtesans are something very different... They’re not common words by any means though, so I’m not judging for getting them mixed up.
Dungeons & Dragons adventure system games. Needs an expansion that 1) standardizes all of the base games 2) brings up some new mini modules to be used with all 3) brings forth some combined scenarios 4) brings all of the characters to the same level 5) etc...
Bought Pulsar 2849 5 minutes ago after hearing Eric talk about it (a gem described with mild complements often means a good game). Thanks for the tip. It looks like it needs an expansion though....
My Top 5 1. Ethnos - It even has fan expansions 2. Yedo - Has fan expansions and designer wants to do it 3. Fearsome Floors 4. Flow of History - Feels like it could go from good to great 5. Kanban - Because I love it & want a Deluxe version w/ Ian O'Toole art I've heard people mention a Dragon Castle expansion to make it a full Mahjong set.
I was astounded (and robbed of victory!) when I played Flow of History and there wasn't a Military scoring card, so it needs an expansion just for that.
The Deluxe edition of Kanban with Ian O'Toole collaboration is supposed to go to KS in 2020/2021 when the rights for the game revert back to Vital Lacerda.
I have an original signed copy of Cosmic Encounter 1977 and it has misprint and a second set of red planet tokens. I am so proud of it!! It is unpunched. From you lists - Mission Red Planet, Ethnos, and Libertalia all need expansions. I would agree with Mechs V Minions but after 7 plays though, I kind of got bored with it. I would love expansions for Custom Heroes, Colossal Arena, Overlords of Infamy, Road Kill Rally and Dead Money.
Roll and writes have been enhanced by different mechanisms, like "flip and write" (Welcome To..., Avenue) or "draft and write" (Boomerang). Maybe the next i "worker placement and write"? "hidden auction and write"? :)
Great list my top 5 have to be: 1. Blood Rage- Big box expansion needs to come for this. I know it breaks Tom's Rule, but the Expansions available now are so minor 2. Libertalia/Ethnos/Rise of Augustus: All Paolo Mori games, that have no expansions. What's the deal? 3. Roll for the Galaxy-yeah I know Ambition is a thing, but come on this game is great, and nothing since 4. Elysium 5. Fury of Dracula Some honorable mentions: Lost Legends, Neuroshima Convoy, Treasure Hunter, Big Book of Madness, & Covert
I don't think Paolo Mori has ever done an expansion for any game he's done (none for Dogs of War or Vasco de Gama either). Maybe he doesn't like to revisit his designs. edit: and as I watch, Tom and Zee say exactly this.
Im going to go with La Granja. Its one of my Top 5 Games of All Time. Id like to see a FULL expansion of additional cards, not just a few random promos. Maybe add in dice that give you a bonus when you draft them, but then you suffer a negative for doing so. Caverna, Great Western Trail, Altiplano, and Dice Forge all have expansions announced, or just coming out. Lastly I would say Smiths of Winterforge; There just needs to be more items to craft, and more end game items. But it just came out this year, so maybe its too soon.
Not going to happen but still: Witcher the adventure game (add variability to location spots, more player interaction, maybe coop) Battlelore 2nd edition (elves!) Descent (remaining heroes from 1st and classes to balance all for archetypes) Dungeonquest (fix combat and maybe introduce secondary objectives) Gears of War (more content and alternative miniatures for the remaining types included in the core box) All FFG... go figure...
Battlore 2nd ed. Hell yes!! Latari Elves, Broken Plains Orcs, faction heroes, maybe some neutral Catfolk/Half-Catfolk, Gnome units and an official solo mode!! Agree without on Descent 2e and DungeonQuest Rev. Ed. too Haven't played the others
Zee, have you ever played Mr. Bacons Big Adventure? It is candy land but with meat. So the game play is generally awful, but..... they encourage you to make all of the meat and eat it based on what you draw.
Great list guys. Didn't expect to get a CITADELS in there, haha. A Mission Red Planet expansion would be an instant-buy for me. That one would work well.
Sam and Tom, you both look like you’ve lost weight in this video. I know you’ve talked about yours Tom, but it looks like Sam has lost a bit too. Thanks for another great top 10 and keep up the great work!!!
+1 Charterstone. I wish they would come out with an expansion that included an end game pack where you were given specific stickers to put on the board to make the system permanently playable and non-unique along with a few other advancement cards, objectives, etc. Pandemic Legacy Season 1. They should have seen an opportunity for an expansion/conversion kit that would turn the game into a playable version of pandemic. We took all the stickers off the board and use it as our pandemic board but would have liked regular pawns and character cards for the game to have it match the regular pandemic expansions. +1 Stuffed Fables. I understand they have written a print and play scenario but they could put together another adventure book with 2-4 scenarios and a handful of other stuffies or minions. Forbidden Island/Desert. They could include 2-3 more characters or a fifth treasure or new island tiles that have specific bonus/bad things that happen on them to increase replay-ability. Duelosaur Island. I know this is brand new so it's not exactly fair but for all the mechanical balance the game has it is missing something. I think they could add or replace some of the dinosaurs with other dinos that give greater incentive. They could add objective cards that would give players reasons to compete over different types of dinosaurs or attractions. I haven't played Dinosaur Island yet so maybe I just need to go that direction instead.
I agree, Quantum needs an expansion. But it just needs more map tiles, support for 5 and maybe 6 players, more official map layouts, and more cards to research that get shuffled into the white deck. I'm a big fan of expansions that add more variety from one game to the next (and possibly up the player count from the restrictive but ever popular 4), without adding rules complexity.
therealrunesead and if you watch the part right afterward, you will faintly hear Tom telling Sam. The look of recognition on sam’s face is precious. 24:10.
1. Spyrium. Brilliant game that could use some more variety in the cards. 2. I agree with Elysium, but the designers have said they had an expansion already, but the publisher didn't want it. That's about it for me.
Listed by how much I want an expansion, not by how much I like the game. 1. Colosseum 2. Agricola Family Edition 3. Black Fleet 4. Vegas Showdown 5. Ark of the Covenant 6. Mission: Red Planet 7. Tikal 8. Power Grid: the Card Game 9. Trias 10. Deadwood (2011)
Dungeon. I cut my teeth on that game and am surprised it doesn’t have a “crossroads mechanic” expansion for it, much less the dragon mag expansions +. Modular boards? Theme dungeons? More characters? Grouping up options?
Re: Game component makeovers.. Zee, you seriously didn’t think about being represented by the Outbreak or Epidemic marker from Pandemic? Come on, cat..
For the record, you can add a third color to go. Just use the colored glass stones you might find in a vase. Just be warned that it is a brain burner and losing friends for a day or 2 can pretty easily.
Wow, after Zee named 2 Paolo Mori games I had to look up both Ethos and Libertalia and...oh man...I am NOT a fan of these games and would not even think getting these dull time wasters, let alone an expansion! Then again, Zee also liked Pandemic: Fall of Rome and that was well....Zee. You're slipping, my friend.
"Or we will ignore the questions, like I do in my live Q&As." - Tom 100% agree that this is true for all of the Dice Tower Q&As. I understand that you can't answer every single one of them, but skipping multiple ones *cough cough mine cough* is just not cool.
FYI Sam, the members of a king’s (or queen’s) court would be “courtiers”. Courtesans are something very different...
They’re not common words by any means though, so I’m not judging for getting them mixed up.
2022 only Stuffed Fables got the expansion. Well, and the one that already had the expansion in 2018, Sam's choice.
I think Carcassonne desperately needs more expansions
Ticket to ride as well
Lol

If the Yedo expansion means the game can come back in print, thumbs up.
I was astounded (and robbed of victory!) when I played Flow of History and there wasn't a Military scoring card, so it needs an expansion just for that.
We like the first 8 rounds of yedo but then there's still 3 more rounds to go. It's good but it just over stays it's welcome
The Deluxe edition of Kanban with Ian O'Toole collaboration is supposed to go to KS in 2020/2021 when the rights for the game revert back to Vital Lacerda.
Great Great Show guys! Zee was awsome :)
Always is!
So many obscure games. Zee should be satisfied with the new Libertalia game!

First thing that comes to my mind (haven't finished the video yet) Vikings and Alea Iacta Est. More bonus cards and tiles for both
Here is my list (in no particular order):
-Starship Samurai
-Dynamite Nurse
-Cthulhu Realms
-Space Hulk 3rd/4th edition
-Warhammer: Doomseeker
@Alex Kaiser I'm glad that Plaid Hat listens to me. When does it come out?
@Alex Kaiser Indeed? I'll have to get it, then.
I would bet we see a "Roll & Eat" game on Kickstarter within the next year now, lol

What's the song playing at the end? 59:30
I'd love another expansion for Five Tribes
+1 for Mission Red Planet, Automania, and Mechs vs. Minions.
New Angeles needs one IMHO. Like: Really badly. I like that game, but it's just so painfully lacking 'more something' in many areas.
Kai Schmidt True.
Not going to happen but still:

Mechs vs minions expansion really would be great! I want more, a great game that I easily get my girlfriend and my 2 step sons to play.
You should do top games that don't need expansions.
great panel finally
Deadline is supposedly getting an expansion (as of July 31): boardgamegeek.com/thread/2034910/any-expansion-plans
I thought Zee was FOR SURE going to put Watson and Holmes on first place, especially considering his opening lines.
At Zees #1 what did Tom’s comment to Zee about Grandcon mean?
Twilight Imperium 4 needs an Exploration Expansion.
Nah, plenty of depth in the box. Tons of content!
@@hucz That is correct but at the moment it feels more like a 3X game. Where is the exploration part?
Steampunk Rally, Chimera Station, yamatai, vicious fishes
Tom's outfit is 👌👌
Tom looking sharp!
Zee, have you ever played Mr. Bacons Big Adventure? It is candy land but with meat. So the game play is generally awful, but..... they encourage you to make all of the meat and eat it based on what you draw.
Sam: "There are so many different factions in the Warhammer 40k universe..." Goes on to list different versions of Space Marines...
Because Zee challenged him to name marines chapters :)
I am kind of surprised that Sam didn't have TI4 on this list.
14:14 - too soon, Eric...
51:20 Games that got expansions that they didn't need? Lords of Waterdeep is tops of my list here. I frickin' loathe the Skullport expansion.
why, I've yet to play it?
That's an essential expansion!
Tom would most definitely be a cube 😂
Can’t wait for a follow up to mechs vs minions
Zee, Sam and Tom are already figurines.
Erik Summoner as well.
6:35 Eric: "Where are the other 3, Has-bro?"
Sam: "That's like a past tense 'bro'."
Hah! Nearly choked on my tea :p
Tom's jacket is on point.
Games not needing their expansion: Any Carcassonne expansion.
Plain Carcassonne would not make my top 100, but with expansions, does. But then again I prefer other versions of Carcassonne completely.
but forbbiden stars was not a Tom´s Turkey?
My top 5:
1. Ora Et Labora
2. Charterstone
3. Libertalia
4. Through the Ages
5. Patchistory
Through the Ages has one announced. For ages.
I agree with sam. if it comes in the box, it is not an expansion
What was the "preshow" Tom was apologising about? What happened?
Jason.
Forbidden Stars!!!!
Zee naming prices for Forbidden Stars expansions :D
Games that need expansion: Yokohama, Mombasa, Brass Birmingham MAP PACKS, Sidereal Confluence and Yedo.
Great list guys. Didn't expect to get a CITADELS in there, haha. A Mission Red Planet expansion would be an instant-buy for me. That one would work well.
Ethnos has the Fairies expansion
Sam and Tom, you both look like you’ve lost weight in this video. I know you’ve talked about yours Tom, but it looks like Sam has lost a bit too. Thanks for another great top 10 and keep up the great work!!!
Some one have a too long, didn't watch summary of their top 5?
This was genuinely so funny 😂😂 I was watching this at work with my earphones and I legit had to start coughing every time I laughed out loud

Oops, I take back everything I said Zee. I also think KeyForge is just like any ole CCG (and thus overrated) You're good again in my book, buddy.
you can't customize it, and you get to play your whole deck in the app free...eventually
I agree, Quantum needs an expansion. But it just needs more map tiles, support for 5 and maybe 6 players, more official map layouts, and more cards to research that get shuffled into the white deck.

What game is Libertalia like that they couldn't mention?
Citadels. If they said it, Eric would scream CIIITADELLLLLS!!!!
@@rikhavok OH! Gotcha
therealrunesead and if you watch the part right afterward, you will faintly hear Tom telling Sam. The look of recognition on sam’s face is precious. 24:10.
Actually ... the season 6 big bad *is* in the Buffy game... just not that bad.
Earth Reborn!
1. Spyrium. Brilliant game that could use some more variety in the cards.
2. I agree with Elysium, but the designers have said they had an expansion already, but the publisher didn't want it.
That's about it for me.
I want that jacket!
Opposuits is where Tom gets them
Listed by how much I want an expansion, not by how much I like the game.
1. Colosseum
2. Agricola Family Edition
3. Black Fleet
4. Vegas Showdown
5. Ark of the Covenant
6. Mission: Red Planet
7. Tikal
8. Power Grid: the Card Game
9. Trias
10. Deadwood (2011)
i love how tom dresses, its so unusual and quirky but suits him to the ground.
Would love to see his hat collection.
I mean... conversate is a word. Been used for hundreds of years. May be informal but it’s in the dictionary now so ya know, technically a word, right?
1. Legacy of Dragonholt
2. Deadline
3. Drako
Those were the only ones I could think of that I've played.
How about The Godfather?
Agreed! And theres room in the box for more...
Tom looks like the joker
They need an expansion to Speak Out, such as Congressional Speak Out. Marital Argument Speak Out. That should be a winner!
"I want to be paper money" :D
5. Junk Art
4. Mountains of Madness
3. Rise of Tribes
2. Ethnos
1. Wasteland Express Delivery Service
I would love to see an expansion for the new edition of Doom.
My top 5 games that need an expansion
5. Earth Reborn
4. Dungeon Run
3. Nexus Ops
2. Battleship galaxies
1. Ad Astra
Come on Sam - TI4? Really not on the list?
I agree with Mission to Red Planet! Love that game!
For the record, you can add a third color to go. Just use the colored glass stones you might find in a vase. Just be warned that it is a brain burner and losing friends for a day or 2 can pretty easily.
We'd love you guys even if you weren't funny
Tom looks like the Riddler in that jacket+vest combo. That being said, that jacket is awesome :p
Via Nebula!
Agree Eric 100% with Buffy 2000 game.
Fury of Dracula (Frankenstein, Wolfman, etc...)
Super Motherload.
My first thought.
Definitely agree. That game is so much fun, but desperately needs more board options.
This.
Oooooh, great suggestion
Seezam, they're both trolls
3 Through the Ages
2 Mission Red Planet
1 Civilization: A New Dawn
Wow, after Zee named 2 Paolo Mori games I had to look up both Ethos and Libertalia and...oh man...I am NOT a fan of these games and would not even think getting these dull time wasters, let alone an expansion! The "fun" expansion....well done Zee, well done
Btw, Deadline has 1st edition on its box. Go figure.
Wasteland Express Delivery Service, Sentient, Clans of Caledonia, agreed on Elysium, Yokohama.
if Zee took off his glasses, would his beard come off with them?
mmm
Cool
Just love when Eric is around. Also best game I wish had an expansion is grand Austrian hotel!
Scrabble
Chess
Draughts
"Or we will ignore the questions, like I do in my live Q&As." - Tom
100% agree that this is true for all of the Dice Tower Q&As. I understand that you can't answer every single one of them, but skipping multiple ones *cough cough mine cough* is just not cool.
