This doesn't add up. What about the black community of Oscarville? The town under lake Lanier. Those blacks were not forced out of Forsyth County until the early 50's when they started building the lake.
Grew up in Forsyth County in the 1970s/80s I remember the sign on the Fulton/Forsyth County line “N***** don’t let the sun set on your a**”

My Grandfather grew up raised on North side of Ga migrated to Ohio .Ga black families need reparations all of them . Native American people had a dream before Martin Luther was born.
All of this just reconfirms that Black Americans are the true Indians and original dwellers of America and that we are overdue for reparations. Those people had to have been on that land for centuries and generations before slavery.

#Question Can any black descendants from the area chime in? I’ve been informed years ago the lake covered an old native burial ground. With more research I’ve been made aware it was a black town of natives. Wondering if anyone can confirm this info, tribe info or if their families were ever enslaved?
Also, there is a MOUND system under the lake that was covered as well. There was some planned effort in covering this town up.
Side note : look into the Greenwood district of Tulsa ( black wallstreet) they were all black natives forced to migrate from Greenwood Mississippi under a treaty. They were of the CHATA TRIBE AKA CHOCTAW TRIBE. The more you dig the more you realize many of us were already here , and not all of us were enslaved.

I have grown up in predominately black neighborhoods and absolutely loved it and never ever experience violence. I moved to Cumming to own property that I can pass onto my children. When I bought in, the cost was very low and housing values have increased dramatically. My neighborhood is VERY diverse. Which is why I moved to Atlanta. I have black neighbors, white neighbors, Chinese, Indian and Muslim neighbors and we get along very well. Cumming's diversity level has increased dramatically.

I live in Forsyth. Yes, there are great schools are hardly any crime. However, this is not due to how whitewashed the county was. It is due to the fact that it is a wealthy suburban area. And, I cannot fathom how anyone could believe that the color of someone's skin determines if they bring crime or lower the schools in the area.
