    Why didn’t they use the ultrasonic arms? Those were revolutionary! Or is that simply to keep the vapor and supreme lines seperate?

      Nothing revolutionary about those arms. That design was used by KAY goalie equipment back in the 90s.

      @@GPz84 and KAY is who and where?? Exactly… goalie equipment has evolved and obviously it’s long forgotten about besides yourself so I’d say it’s revolutionary as no other brand has had arms as mobile as that in all the years I’ve been a goalie. Regardless of if it’s been on a piece of gear back in the day.

    Could’ve been a great unit, but the joke like arm adjustment totally ruins it, instead of adjusting arm length, what it does does it restricts the arm mobility 😕

    I'm looking to upgrade my chest protector and was looking at either getting the hyperlite, v9 pro carbon, or the eflex 5... do you guys have a recommendation?

      I would not recommend getting the hyperlite unless you are buying custom because protection is quite lacking in some areas.

    Would Bauer do custom hands only?

    For the Jr A, Major Jr, College, etc players who tested this unit, did they give any feedback about protection? I tried this unit on and the fit & mobility were outstanding… it was like i owned the unit for a year.
    However the Vapor 2x chesty had a lot of mixed reviews regarding the protection. Custom is an option on the hyper lite, but then you’re spending even more money, plus it’s made overseas. Whereas I won’t have many protection or durability concerns with a Brian’s or Vaughn

      We haven't had the hyperlite on our testers yet but we'll be sure to let you know as soon as we do. We have a tonne of respect for companies building their gear in North America but have to say the production quality overseas is now outstanding (typing on a computer made overseas while checking info on my iPhone made in Asia ;) )

      Where a product is made has ZERO to do with the quailty

    • @Jason-zc9on
      @Jason-zc9on 3 роки тому +2

      @@ptak30 so you’re saying that Bauer has the reputation for being as durable, and the craftsmanship is on par with Brian’s or Vaughn, and now True?
      With Bauer, you pay a premium for fancy materials, not durability. Technically it shouldn’t “matter where a product is made” and location of assembly is one part of the manufacturing process. While Bauer has made progress in regards to QC, I feel like they take the “as long as it’s good enough” approach. Based on my experience, the attention to detail isn’t there with, and that still matters to some of us. Especially at that price point

      @@InGoalMedia manufacturing electronics is such a streamlined process where robotics can handle much of it. My iPhone also doesn’t have a reputation for having quality control issues. Keyboards are a commodity and i don’t have high expectations, especially when only paying $24.99. Goalie equipment is a different story

      @@Jason-zc9on All I'm saying is just because it's made overseas doesnt mean the quailty is bad. I never have had bauer pads but my Bauer US skates after a year of a ton of use still look as good as new, my 960 helmet after a year still looks new, my US and 2X sticks are still solid but then you have a buddy who got a custom pair of Brian's pants that are having some issues only a few months in.

    out of all of your chesty reviews, which do you think is the best overall?

    • @InGoalMedia

      We honestly never look at it that way...they are all great products and different people will prefer different ones for their own reasons. We just try to share the features and let you make the call.
