As third generation supporter of Atlético all I can say is that Simeone takes his time to squeeze the best of each player. When he makes (not the club) a personal bet for a player, and that's Conor case, you can be sure that the player is only going to improve. Let's give some time to make it happen because he already has all our support.
Half the season gone id say Gallagher has been good. Started really brightly and now has been really helping the team in whatever way possible and playing off position etc.
yeah his debut was rocket-like, he hasn't been as impressive of late but it'd be by all means unfair to say he's underperformed. He's been a great asset.
@@BiggestChungus21 I mean, he is a perfect Atleti 2014 player, as of now the system has changed. Funnily, he's lacking some technical abilities taht allow for the team to work as swiftly and fluently as it does now (which is the current partial downside), nevertheless everything else (which is what you think of I believe) is exactly what the team needed for sure! I do like the signing and, overall the dude
@Mr_Sasquash Of course it does. Conor is not a technical player and you wouldn't rely on him for a defence-splitting pass a la Enzo Fernandez but he can cover a lot of ground and presses really well. That skill set is of top division quality but it wouldn't be enough for him to start in Maresca's style of play.
He's doing great at his thing, sometimes you can see he's not the most technical, and he does suffer when he gets matches like that (not always), but a true good lad with great values and who is sure of his strenghts, happy to have him aboard
As an Atlético supporter , I just wanted to thank the reporter Alexis Nunez for asking one of our footballers such good questions. Living in Madrid, I’m terribly sick of Spanish reporters asking our footballers and manager mainly about Real Madrid or such related questions. Spanish sport journalism is corrupted, and I really appreciate hearing our people without any contaminated subjects.
This guy is pure gold, I would like to know if people around is making him feeling like home here in Madrid. I wish him the best in our team in Atletico and he must to know that we know el cholo is not using him in the right position, but we still love you and support you Conor.
@@mrceo7448I agree legend is a stretch … but there are certain moments Gallagher could be used especially with how horrific our back line is and Enzo’s defensive abilities falling short … Caicedo has been incredible but Enzo doesn’t help him and Lavia is usually injured CG would’ve been a good balance in some games. Chelsea’s 2nd place and Atleti is 1st everyone should be happy
Excelente entrevista, falto subtitulado en castellano para entender mejor. Recuerden que el Atlético de Madrid tiene hinchan tanto en España como en SurAmérica. Por los demás excelente 👌 👍

Conor is a Roman legionary, a soldier of the Tercios, he has each and every one of the qualities that Cholo asks of a player, he really doesn't seem English, because of his intensity you could say that he is a Basque player.
I think it is his demeanor thats a bit unenthusiastic but he has given some nice anecdotes here, for example when he was asked about difference between simoene and other managers he played for, he said, simeone treats me like a grown man while that wasnt the case before, which players in gonna say that stuff these days lol, so not a boring interview imo.

@@pinietsashe’s like the perfect Atleti player. Dude never leaves the pitch without being drenched in sweat. I hate it as a Madrid fan.

@@Depressedsunset404 just stick to his message bro, who cares about the spelling lol and I'm a follower
Great player who's in the right team now. He's a Simeone player not a Maresca one.
A good player is a good player, it doesn't matter the coach.

@@neilcreamer8207facts. He’s thriving in a much better team than Chelsea but that doesn’t mean he fits the Chelsea style
¡Aúpa Atleti! A por ellos que se puede.

Love how he can provide our midfield with pace and aggression, keeps the rivals on their toes, a perfect addition!!
This man is amazing!! Will be one of our best players. He is in the right team.

Why does it say "How is it settling in at Real Madrid"?
Seems like a sound lad

He qualified to play for Ireland through his Irish parents.
@gerardodwyer5908 Es un irlandes de origen Milesio, un autentico hispano/irlandes
Why did they make him leave? 😭
Salary cap
stop them ?? hhhhh really ?? hhhhhh top interview!! 💀
Tell about passion; Spain, Simeone, Atletico.... that's the differents and the new experience for you, not?! So british
He was horrible in that game , was the 2nd worst player of the match, because place Gimenez that time took the spot ( tottally "out of game rhythm")
Real Britt
Difference between real and not real britt🤔
Y los pañales hay que jalarle también mmm no me convence pero bueno que lo siga intentando
Llevenle el Pepe con leche de vaca viene naciendo es un cipote le falta mucho
The plastic surgery is a bit off
Botox for sure…
Bummed he moved, so glad he is crushing it
What a boring tick the box interview.
Conor like a robot.
What do you mean
I disagree
