I saw Glen in concert just four years after this interview. One of his last concerts, and he was still great! Between songs he had a hard time talking, but as long as he sang and played guitar he was perfect.

This is a great interview.. I never heard of Bill Cody before, but this is probably one of the better interviews that Glen Campbell ever gave because Mr. Cody did his homework and helped Glen recall many of the various aspects.. Glen enjoyed the interview... and was always pleasant

Glen was the best at hearing a song and arranging it into a hit. Listen to the Original Southern Nights by Allen Toussaint. He learned it all from being in the Wrecking Crew in the 60s. Glen should be in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame for his studio work.

Glen Campbell is one of the all-time great musicians and performers, regardless of genre. Bill Cody is a masterful interviewer.

Despite all his talents, skills and musical accomplishments, Glen remained humble. Thank you for the great music you left behind.

When my daddy bought me a Glen Campbell album with Galveston on it and I loved it and still do I hate that I did not know about Mr. Campbell but now I am finding all his songs and I love his music.

Props to Bill Cody - what a great interview. I've been watching several videos on Glen. This interview took place within 3 years from Glen's diagnosis...and he even mentions being forgetful in this piece. What a great talent he possessed. I am praying for him and his family. Thanks for sharing.

One of my musical heroes. He is sorely missed. I have always loved the Ovation Guitars that Glen made famous.

Loved this interview!! It just now bubbled up in my feed. I thought I'd seen every Glen Campbell video on UA-cam, but apparently not. I hope more new ones will come up on my recommended videos. I love this man! I know all of us can see the early Alzheimer's just under the surface in this interview. Heartbreaking, but I now he had turned back to the Lord, so I fully expect to see him again.

Love this interview SO much, what a wonderful person and his mentioning Elvis, AWESOME!!!!!!!! P.S.-It's nice how he explains recording w/Frank Sinatra, but apart from Elvis...and Glen (I love a lot of Franks amazing work, including Strangers in the Night which I recorded by the way, but haven't posted it yet!!!), my other favorite is Dean Martin, actually when Elvis met Dean and his daughters, he told Deans daughters that their Dad was the King of Cool...like Elvis, Glen is so down to earth and humble, you gotta love them!!!!!

His so happy. Very good. But even he is starting to say, his forgetting! Well he had started to forget, about 6 or 7 years before sadly. The first signs were around 2001 or 2.

In retrospect, you can see the onset of Alzheimer’s disease in Glen. It’s sad to contemplate that less than 10 years after this interview Glen would be dead. I miss Glen R.I.P.

Picked up on that right away. He was crystal clear on things 40 years earlier, but was at a loss about current things...especially his then new album.

I don’t think of him as “dead” at all. Because he believed, he simply moved to heaven and all who are in Christ Jesus will be with him again, forever.

Your place in the next spree of life will be determined on your obedience to Christ's teachings and the knowledge you gained of the gospel. Knowledge is power. The more intelligence you gain in this life, the more advantage you'll have I not the life to come. Everything that was ever created was created in heaven first then became mortal the day of the partaking of the fruit. First everything was made spiritual, then it became temporal.
