@@jeremyrobbins9064 Those are some super tuned engines mostly in saudi arabia. They kinda overtune these to get maxium power and sometimes those blow out. Im pretty sure this is mostly saudi arabia thing. These people really put effort and money to build these cars.
They should call these trucks “Bottle Rockets” 1. Aim 2. Lite 3. Accelerate a few feet in some direction 4. Then explode! Or name these trucks “Piccolo Pete’s” They make a lot of noise and sparks but don’t go anywhere

I think some one else was in there you see the drivers door flip back open before it exploded there was another person inside how else would driver door open on a up hill door should have kept shut it opened by some one watch it again

I love that the rules seem to allow almost any design. It is also astonishing that their is so much destruction and what appears to be incompetence. There just was nothing to do on their Thursday/Friday weekends except drink NA beer and watch tennis or soccer (yawnnnn) on TV when the temps were in the triple digits F.
For the average person the cost of the caranage involved is more than most of us will earn haha...People think drag racing is crazy, they don't blow up as much as these guys

Its also the worst kind of track to run on. You have a steep angle that messes with oiling, an un even surface that constantly unloads the tires and jacks your rpm, and god help your bearings if sand gets in your engine...

7:27 Sand and engines definitely don't mix. Always amazes me that they actually run these with just open turbos and not have at least some basic screen or at least a deflector so it doesn't try and gobble up the desert when it plows in.
Can anyone enlighten me as to what these SUVs are, and what are the base engines? There seems to be either a V8 or some kind or a 4cyl with crazy ass turbos?
There has to be a safe way to mount fire suppression systems on the firewall in the engine compartment. Hopefully they have them in the driver compartment.
They aren’t meant to last, only for these kind of events after that they get rebuilt. Even with an air filter with the amount of power that they make they aren’t sustainable.
I suspect that going back to basics may help. Steep uphill,,, put the fuel pick up at the back and make sure you start with a full tank of fuel. The enviroment is sand,,, so AIRCLEANERS are essential. Those mud tyres dig holes,, useless on sand. Paddle tyres are better but honestly some treaded speedway tyres would be the go. Tailshaft loops requires on the back,, rolling backwards with the tailshaft in the sand is far from ideal. To me less rpom and more torque is required, a few sem to have that sorted.
As an American yall are building some serious power BUT NOT RELIABLY. I think some of you guys need to come to the states or Australia and get some tips and tricks to build BIG POWER RELIABLY.
@@exoticspeedefy7916 ok, steve Morris builds engines that make that kind of horsepower and uses them for drag and drives. Also those cars are running high 5s to low 6s in the quarter mile so it's possible to build a 3000 to 4000 horsepower engines reliably.

I like watching this versus the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area (ISDRA) rail videos. It's interesting to see the differences and similarities.
The guy who won was in a 1995 stock Ford F150 and went up slow and steady with a time of 13 minutes 47 seconds!! Then drove home!!!!

How do you break driveshafts in sand? There shouldn’t be enough traction to break anything.
crashing and rolling UPHILL is a crazy skill in and of itself.

three tips: braided stainless fuel lines, pre-run testing and leave the 2 wheel drive at home.
A basic fire suppression system would save these people so much
