Gotta check the Confederate dice. In your last few games, those dice consistently roll absurd amounts of 6's. Union really suffer

Thank you for the battle report! Enjoyed the game and your models … Are disorders cumulative? We play just one disorder no matter how many they get that turn.

Thanks Mike, appreciate the support 👍 - I think you’re referring to when a couple of Union regiments made a disorderly retreat. Basically the unit stays disordered into their following turn, so I always mark with a second disorder marker as a reminder. One marker comes off at the end of that turn and the other at the end of the following turn. Hope that makes sense. Cheers Chris

What size bases are you using? I’ve noticed that some have 3 or 4 figures wide instead of 10 figures wide.

Hey Leon. They’re still the standard bases for the 10 wide figures. They are the skirmishers models, so you have around 5 or 6 to a base. I’m also using some 15mm command figures from Peter Pig miniatures, which is 3 to a base. Just my take on things. Hope that helps. Do Peter Pig ACW figures look much bier than Epic scale which I believe are 12.5mm tall.
I have two regiments of strip MiniFigs which seem to be a good size match.
I also have some AB 15mm figures on the painting table.
I’m looking for a book that will show the 1861/62 campaigns, on the table as they were during the campaign and giving Dave Browns “Pickets Charge” rules a try that means either 20mm wide X 25mm deep or perhaps 15mm wide for 2 figures wide X 2 figures deep.
15mm AB figures cost around 80p each which puts them in the same price range as Perry Miniatures but of if I convert measurements to Centi Metres it in effect will give me 2,5 times the table space.
For instance a 6x4 table effectively becomes a 15 x 10 table, because not only is fire and movement reduced in measurement by using centi metres the bases are reduced to 15mm for 2 figures therefore a 5 stand battalion instead of using 28mm figures on 30mm (or 40mm in some cases) wide bases for 2 figures , but using the lower width of 30mm it will effectively double the table, not only for fire and movement but their armies presence on the by at least half and in some cases more where the larger 2
