Bring this bike to the market! That’s sick!
That would be rad. But this frame is hard to get. It would be easy with a more common rolling chassis
First Rule about mopeds. Test moped before moped is ready to be tested. 😂
What sort of speeds did you manage to hit on these initial runs? Looks like it has plenty of punch. Really love the overall look of this project. What battery did you pair with the QS138?
I didnt get a chance to top it out, but I got to mid 40s in the video. I went with a 72v 36ah 200a C 300a peak.
nice, weldone
Looks fast! you just need to tweek it a bit, and maybe put a disc break on the front end. Most people just tune the crap out of the engine and F's the breaks, don't be like them. But great stuff!
I m already working on disc breaks
Fantastic!!! But please please change thos rear shocks they are killing the look!
Yeah I will eventually
@@Corn-ped YUSSSSS shweet cant wait for more content!
Curious, how would you compare and contrast the difference (good and bad) between an old school modified 2 stroke and a custom built electric ped?
completely different. 100% torque and power thru 100% of the RPM range vs 20% torque and power thru 80% of the RPM range and 100% thru 20% of the RPM range.
Oh yeah post more i got the same set up and that controller is giving me hell to set up lol... also i see you got a razor in the background i customize them as.well
Are you to the point of programming the controller? I have not messed with programming it yet.
@@Corn-ped hey well i got the em200 and the EM150-2 im at the point hooked up and all i cant get the start up of the more to move if i out in parameters or even use what has came up...
Say that again?
Say what again? Lol
Everything was set up to go soon as i turn it on and get to programming and twist the throttle i get. No movement
how long does it take to heat up
I am in the city and don't really get to open it up for TOP speed a lot so it doesn't get hot on my rides.
Is this the 138 70h or 90h? I've got the 90h on my custom built ktm style bike using the em200-2sp and these things are monsters. Similar issues with the throttle, had to restrict amperage and go to a thumb throttle
I went with the 70v V3. Did you program the controller? I have not had a chance to try that yet. Seems like some people have issues connecting and others have no issues. So we will see.
@Corn-ped the initial connection I tried was with the supplied USB cable and it was a no go. Had to email them and have a replacement sent and the second cable they sent out worked like a charm. Not as easy as using the mqcon app with a sabvoton or even the stuff that comes with the BAC2000/4000/8000 controllers, but it gets the job done and they match up to the mid drives immensely well.
On the throttle, are you having "jumpy" response? Not at full speed but the motor tends to be jerking around or having trouble holding a set speed?
@@chickenrichard5024 I'm not having jumping issues. The throttle just comes on really quick. It's like 10% power and then 80%
@Corn-ped I would suggest adjusting throttle sensitivity. With the thumb throttle I had to play with it like a son of a gun to get it stable instead of feeling like I was riding a bomb. The supplied twist throttle with the controller package was also way top sensitive and that was the first major component swap out I made from the stock assembly I received in the packaged kit. I wasn't even able to use the included dkd display when I had finally finished but working on a solution there. There are 2 usb connection kits, one is a basic black cable with a lot of bad wiring, the replacement is in a blue housing and looks a lot more professional. I'll see if it has a model or part code when I get home and post it🙏
@@chickenrichard5024 I have the blue usb cable
That looks QUICK.
