King Charles plans to step down and 'leave show' to William once 'difficult phase' is over

King Charles has had a tough first couple of years of being the country's monarch, following the death of his beloved mother, the late Queen Elizabeth.
Faced with these daunting challenges as the new monarch in his older age, Charles, who turned 76 last week and is the oldest monarch to have ever taken the throne, is likely to have already prepared the grounds for his retirement, according to royal author, Clive Irving.
