Have you developed any sort of Kata with this weapon yet? Would be nice to see it swung around fluidly and to see all its different angles of attack, doubling techniques, and guards!

You mentioned in the shad response putting the point in the ground and "punching" with the pommel and back of the blade.
Im curious if a technique involving a few swings followed by a kick or shove to create time and distance for a follow up.
Further could the mass be used as an anchor to aid in grappling an opponent? Swinging it overhead is cool but what about wrestling the pummeling with it, gravity does all the needed work.
Other idea. Its a wide flat surface that reminds me of a sheild. Could that be held up or propped up and used as a defensive tool as well as having the potential energy for a drop?

Does it need to get stuck when it takes 3 seconds to bring back up regardless?

What a coincidence I just decided to start watching Berserk, I saw his sword from the opening bar scene, then remembered your video was suggested to me an hour ago and came back to watch it. Reality lines up like this sometimes if youre paying attention. I mean, someone might say its the algorithm, but this was in reverse so huh. Thanks for this

      Motivation! Hope you enjoy Berserk.

Watching the video, I wonder if it would be a more efficient swing with better leverage if you slid your left hand down the handle like you would swinging a sledgehammer. Maybe the difference is negligable and its better to keep the hold closer to the blade but idk. Allowing the sword to travel further away from you generates more speed and might be more comfortable for the muscles by allowing both arms to extend evenly.

@@DigitallyTwistedOutlaws1178 after writing that, I returned to watching and I think I wasnt recognizing how heavy that sword is lol. I think that kinda negates my advice to you lol

@@drpebbs A solid 48lbs of hardened sharp steel. Super dangerous.
I like my Colossus Form and will continue to work it until it's perfected.
But when developing others I will keep your idea in mind!

I always take care of my sword and clean it thoroughly. Then I oil it up and rub it in. Always good to go!

Maybe one day could you test the attacking techniques of the Greatsword in Monster Hunter?
I always thought they looked pretty practical, but not just anyone has a giant sword to try it with 😝

i think the only things this sword is good at is giving you back problems. whats the point of training with it ?

Like they said, to prove that you can and to create world records. Both of which is really fun and builds strength. lol

What's the point of training with any sword when people have shotguns? For fun and the art of it!
