Thank you for this conversation! So many ppl have a stigma when it comes to talking about menstruation, pre-menopause, menopause and birth control. These are such good topics for people to really go in depth on and share in a light but informational chat fest. Sadly, many people are still misled, shy away from or outright negatively comment about such topics.
Also, I agree with Ghandi. Ppl assume women can just be put on birth control and viola, possible problem solved. What they don’t share is just how much of a detriment and system bomb b.c. really can be for many. Mood swings, massive anger, exhaustion, and when I tried one type in my 20s it made me near suicidal. I was balled up on my bathroom floor and I had to ask my bf at the time to not leave me alone.
Birth control can be useful to help with endometriosis and other health issues, but it can also cause a lot of issues as well as we all have different chemical balances that b.c. can wreak havoc with.
I love when you all go into life convos!

Menopause is in stages. No bleeding is a major part and after 1 year it’s the end of that stage.
Mood swings, the chance of hot flashes or chills can happen for a while. Insomnia can kick in.
I was fortunate to only go through some insomnia and enjoy now not having to buy pads or tampons and I’m 58.
I don’t miss the bad cramps

After menopause, still get all the premenstrual symptoms. Did during my pregnancies, too. Just not as intense.

OMG ! I totally understand when ghandi said when she was taking the birth control/hormone thing she'd get like a roller coaster with her emotions...when I got the (b.c.) shot once a month = called, "depo" it made me so angry a.nd short tempered. It was so horrible how it made me feel. I was like the hulk all the time and just go off on someone and completely bug out. & it'd be the smallest thing too. I had no. Control over it. That's what worried me the most. I want to be able to control my emotions ....(to an extent) you know what I mean....
U can't help how ull feel about something but u can get control of w.e u start to feel....& thats is what I couldn't do when I took the b.c. shot. I'll never go on that shot again!
    P.S.
Ik this is an old podcast & no one will probs even see this but I wanted to add my comment about all that cus i felt similar and strongly about that Comment ghandi had said.
    P.S.S
I freaking love you all! Big fan!
U make such a difference in my life everyday, you'll never realize truly your impact with. Me💋
