A spoilerific summary: You are the commander. You wage war on the dragon Zhaitan, killing its undead minions that acted as its mouth and eyes. Blinded and starved, Zhaitan is brought down by the army you assembled: The Pact. A sylvari named Scarlet Briar awakens the dragon Mordremoth and it is revealed that the sylvari are his creation, susceptible to his control. After losing the Pact fleet over the Maguuma jungle, your beleaguered army presses on, ultimately destroying both the physical and mental manifestations of Mordremoth. The dragons Primordus, Jormag, Kralkatorrik and Aurene are awakened (in Aurene's case, hatched) by the flow of magic from their dead brethren. A mysterious stranger, who is revealed to be the exiled god Balthazar, drains Primordus' energy, sending him back to sleep. Balthazar fled across the desert and the commander followed. Balthazar's goal is to drain the dragon Kralkatorrik of his power, but you and Aurene thwart his plans, ultimately slaying him. Aurene and Kralkatorrik absorb Balthazar's amassed power. After dealing with a pesky lich, you go after Kralkatorrik who is now enriched with the energies of an extra-planar deity and has begun devouring the Mists. You lure the dragon into a trap at Thunderhead Keep and stab out its eye with a spear wrought from its own crystallised blood. Severely wounded, the dragon flees, but is brought down and slain by you and Aurene, who effectively devours her grandfather from the inside out, becoming a true elder dragon in the process. Far to the north, a leader of the charr named Bangar is jealous and attempts to ally himself with Jormag as you are with Aurene, but the ice dragon betrays him, choosing instead Bangar's protégé, Ryland Steelcatcher. Stirred by Jormag's activity, Primordus once again awakens and Braham acts as its champion, bent on destroying Jormag. After sewing carnage across Tyria, Ryland and Braham duel, but ultimately neither wins: Primordus and Jormag's long rivalry leads to the two clashing directly, killing each other while Aurene swoops in to absorb their energies. Now there are two dragons left, Aurene and a theorised though yet-unseen water dragon, but Aurene is young and she has devoured the energies of three dragons, a god and a lich, which should make for some killer indigestion. What happens next? We'll find out in End of Dragons.
Thanks a lot! I really tried to catch up with the story but really lost the motivation and kind of the lead on what to do next after ryland became Jormags Champion
